SynopsisWhen a human is marked to die, a faint gray line that is invisible to most appears around their neck. As time passes, that ring becomes darker and darker, until it is eventually black, and that person dies. Kita Michiru has an unusual gift, she posses "Shinigami eyes," which allow her to see these rings. When Michiru notices that two of the boys in her Class, Akatsuki Chika and Tachibana Shito not only have rings, but that they're jet black, they reveal to her that they were supposed to die in a tragic accident six months ago. With the help of the Zombie Loan loan office, they were given a second chance at life, should they be able to pay for their debt by doing the work of Shinigami and killing malicious zombies. They petition Michiru to assist them in their efforts, and she finds her everyday life changing dramatically. (Source: Mobots) |

Zombie Loan and bleach both have shinigamis and in both the good side guides souls to another world.
Both deal with the whole undead/spirits/Shinigami thing, can be pretty dark at times, and have that supernatural/action/comedy/drama mix.
Bleach is a more typical shounen, while ZL is way better.

In both there is a power called Shinigami Eyes, which in DN allows you to see both the name and life span of anyone, and in ZL makes you see a ring on people’s neck: the darker it becomes, the nearer that person’s death gets.
Both can be creepy at times, and both have Shinigami, death, supernatural, mystery, blood, a dark aura, and lots of bishounen.
Both are really good, worth-reading manga, and both both are (wrongly) considered shounen.
Both have a death theme, along with shinigami and "Shinigami Eyes" and both are highly enjoyable.
