| According to Mainichi, a new anime of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was announced at the 10th anniversary live event. It will be aired in the spring of 2013. It will be based on a spin-off novel "Higurashi Outbreak". Keiichi and Rena investigate an outbreak of a mysterious virus in Hinamizawa. The director is Kawase Toshifumi. | Been waiting for this since it was posted on ANN. It's not that I don't like the comedy aspect of Higurashi... it's just I want more mystery and action :D It's an anime, right? |

Hold on a sec...there's people who actually want a second season of umineko?! I thought everyone hated the first season, I mean I didn't but I am pretty sure everyone else did. Hell I appreciated that they even tried to adapt something so impossible to adapt as umineko. I really don't think we will ever see season two. The budget needed for the last arc of Chiru is enough to give animators a heart attack. Honestly I hope this is a remake of higurashi with better animation. Hell keep the voice recording, music, storyboards of the old the exactly the same and just spend the budget on the animation. You could call it "Perfecting higurashi" |

| God dammit If this is anything like Rei or Kira with it's stupid fanservice moe shit I'm gonna freak out. The only good seasons were 1 and 2. The smaller OVA series were utter crap and ruined the image that is 'Higurashi' If it isn't in the same style as the original 2 seasons I might not even bother. I adore Higurashi but there's only so much butchering a person can take to an excellent series. |

Umineko doesn't have PS2 sprites and the PS3 tweak doesn't exist for Chiru. But yes, you do get used to R07's art, at least his Umineko ones. His early Higurashi ones are just trash. Yeah, I was talking about the PS3 version. And, the PS3 tweak exists for Chiru but it isn't finished. I don't know when it will be, though, as I haven't really kept up with it. |

| They should just adapt some of the arcs in Matsuri and Kizuna. I especially want to see the Miotsukushi-hen arc where everything goes wrong simultaneously and they have to somehow solve all the problems from the other arcs at once. But oh well I will watch this, hopefully it won't be complete trash like Kira. |
| Hmm, more Higurashi could be interesting. Preferrably not utter shite like Kira, though. I don't mind Higurashi's comedy and punishment games systems, but Kira just lacked actual humour in favour of banal dialogue and tits for the sake of tits. |
