| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ai wants the club to enter the Nebula Cup so they can race in yachts. Kane shows up (as the PE coach) and trains them and puts them through a selection. The selection involves a different type of race and the top three are Natalia, Grunhilde, and Ai. Marika lost but that's actually better because the Nebula Cup association gave her crew a job to watch for any interference at the event, but it appears the association has it out for Hakuoh. |
| Ai is slowly becoming my favorite character here :) well she was awesome so why not plus we had a bit of background on why things look like they do - I hope they explain that treaty thing and some building up for next arc - so again working as protection :P they have practice also the beach episode XD but it wasn't abomination like they usually are... I liked it |

| Ai is pretty amazing ~ I knew she would be from the moment she first was introduced to the series! YAY Chiaki-chan is going to be in the next episode! Also, it looks like it's going to be about protecting Ai while someone else tries to sabotage the race. |
 Nebulae cup will be fun. Kane was hilarious, Sandaime still has the bears, and Bentenmaru's new job seems compelling. Enjoyed second half of the episode. The preview for next episode looks intense, wow. |

| Hmm, I wonder if Kane the coach was a reference to the coach in Gunbuster.. Anyways, very good episode. I really thought that Marika would enter the race too, but I guess she has to focus on her job more now. And never in my wildest dreams did I thought Grunhilde had the right stuff at sailing to actually place second in their 'qualifying' race. I guess the Nebula cup is set to get some added glamour and glitz for their 19th edition with a princess joining as a contestant and another princess being the starter. Regarding the suspicious dealings between those men in black suits, it looks like were finally heading for some plot heavy episodes. In fact I have a very strong suspicion of who the guy with that hood on is. When Ririka recognised him, she seems to have finally understood why the treaty of non-interference regarding Marika was upheld between the various groups. I hope this portends to the moment that Ririka will be coming back into the pirate world, even if it is just temporarily. Because I would give a lot to watch Blaster Ririka back in action :-) Unfortunately, another episode with zero Chiaki-chan quota. Too bad she wasn't here to enjoy Kane treating the girls for some parfaits at the Lamp House. Well, at least in the previews Chiaki-chan is back and looks like she's gonna be in the thick of the action too in the next episode. Now, it's just gonna be another long wait for next week.. |

Somehow Dad coming back from the dead is weird idea... but if handled right than maybe plus rest of them - some big family? fan club :> it seems that even the crew is involved in working with them and next episode... more Ai awesomeness it seems ;) I hope |

Kane was badass this episode. Look at that body of his (in a speedo o.o)!! XD Edit: Rewatching. Ah, I think this episode deserves more praise. It's definitely a beach episode, but so little fanservice (except Kane) and no needless show of skin (except Kane). It had a focus the entire episode - the race, and it added a bit of spice by having the Bentenmaru fire that beam. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed a beach episode until now. I saw that leg action snuck in, but I enjoyed it because it felt natural. :D Kane going sparta is funny. XD |

| Aw this show is just so good, even a beach episode is something else compared to usual shit. Kane made my day, and Ai became one of best characters. Also the guy with a hood in the bar is most probably Marika's father. If it really is so i wish we'll get to see some more of him. Next episode looks great, can't wait for Nebula Cup. |

| Judging from the preview it seems that the tournament is pretty messed up not to mention the organisers who even hire pirates to make sure everything goes there way. Next week should be pretty interesting i wonder how everything will go. Seems Marika is in danger for some reason there appears to be going on allot behind her back not to mention that she seems to be protected for some reason. It also seems like the school has some connections in the pirate business since the seem to protect Marika for some reason and it's way to easy for her staff to get hired in that school. |
| ^ Well it was pretty clear in this ep that the racing is not the normal car racing you used to see all the time. It is going to be more than just that. A lot of interesting build up in this episode and I can't wait to see it unfold. One thing I love about this show is that they don't solve thing in a dramatic way and they always do it in the coolest possible way. |

Can't wait to find out who he is. And next episode looks pretty exciting, looking forward to that too. |

So, from a mild manner homeroom teacher, Kane just became a brutal PE teacher, but is still the school's yacht club adviser. Who's he? It kinda look like that Show may have send Marika on some mission for something darker and yes he does bend rules of any insurance policy provide that the return in profitable for him that is. |

| HOLY CALAMARY! Really didn't expect Kane to go all badass pimp like that. xD He was so awesome. Other than that......well......beach scenario :| Really didn't need that here (not that this infamous episodes are required in any anime, but whatever). Wasn't bad though, because it wasn't the typical "let's have lots of moe dripping out of every corner, yay!"-nonsense. The finale was so Dragon Ball'ish. |

| Somewhat starting to catch up here. This episode was delicious in both Ai development and some minor service of swimwear. My thoughts follow. Burst comments, each paragraph accounts for a part of the episode. Loved how Marika was surprised in the spoiler Kane in the following spoiler I was wondering why was Grunhilde and Yayoi in the spoiler For some reason Ursula in the spoiler Liked once again Marika’s face in the spoiler In general that girl in the spoiler The spaceship and insignia of the Dhingy Racing League in the spoiler Now I was kind of worried of Show in the spoiler The people protecting Marika in the spoiler Despite Gruhilde cheating in the spoiler About Marika, Marika was nice with her expression and can in hand in response to Ai along with being on the bike in the sun. However the best of her was in the spoiler About the Bentenmaru, from the following,  Along with the spoiler About Ai, she started in having her spotlight in this episode. Starting with a rather rich serious face here and being hilarious as Marika surprises her here. However the best of her were her faces in the spoiler  The blush is unmistakable. Nicely done. | I don't understand why the head of the Nebula cup committee is so afraid of Hakuoh. It's been five years since the incident happened, everyone who was involved in it most likely graduated already so why do they still suspect that Hakuoh won't follow rules? That's just stupid :/ |

| wtf was this episode lol Kane was crazy, especially having the Bentenmaru shoot the ocean like that (Isn't that, y'know, kinda over the top dangerous???) I wonder what the yacht club did last time to get themselves banned for 5 years O_O Lol at when the members were running along the beach and she still had the ice cream xD also when they were in the simulation and their ships were flying around everywhere xD I hope we get another arc before the end, the yacht club stuff is fun but I want another space adventure!! |
