| I am left speechless. All I can think to say is that this episode was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite show of the season. |

| Plot + Storyline is okay. Everything else is terrible, no wonder i didnt like SZS either. A single picture for an ED? decent song wasted. | I haven't been so eager for an anime to begin airing in the longest time so I'm very glad this episode managed to live up to my over high expectations (the fact that SHAFT was producing it didn't help any). The art work is superb, just like ef, the storyline is original and strange enough to be amusing, and the characters have certainly heightened my interests. |

| I rewatched this with better subs, i thought it was great the first time but with far more accurate subbing and with all the text being subbed it was even better. Will wait for accurate subs on 2nd episode though. |

| well its not the kind of anime i watch (neither the one i was expecting) and the graphics are not the kind the im used to ha not to say about the characters (that girl realy talks a lot) but i think i liked it ^_^'' even if i didnt understand what happened >.> oh! and i didnt think she would actualy pierce him O.O |

| Good episode, somewhat violent but I liked the atmosphere. I'm not fond of CGI but for some strange reasons I really liked the animation especially the colors for the decoration. For the moment I really like it, hope the rest of the series will be as good as this first episode. I'm looking forward the next episode. |

| the flamboyant guerrilla floppy OMGzoom animation style interfered too much... Couldn't really follow a solid plot because it was too busy being "creative" with its animation style. We saw more of the main characters eye zoomed x1000 than we did the character himself.. the character development was less of a mess...a lil promising Kinda cool i guess...but i am going to have trouble getting into it. |

| Just when I thought there wasn't a single decent show this summer, suddenly EFFORT SHINBO to the rescue! While I'm not terribly pleased that Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a formulaic bore as a result, I do like the freshness this is delivering. Certainly some of the directing this episode needed to be toned down as it felt more like someone screwing with Windows Movie Maker effects than being decently experimental, but outside of that I don't have much to complain about. An active, playful Shinbo is a great deal more fun to watch than a lazy, bored Shinbo after all. |

| Really loved the visuals. It's been a while since I've watched Shinbo's work (it's been a while since I've decided to watch an anime, actually), and while it is a tad over-the-top, I've already gotten used to the fact that it's how he does things. The "OP" animation was brilliant, and the chemistry between the characters was interesting. The only thing I'm worried about is that apparently the quality of the show decreases after the 2nd episode, according to a couple of friends. I hope the rest of the anime can be as good as this first episode. |

| Well, that was pretty interesting. Confusing though. And I don't really understand why being weightless/getting her weight back is such a big deal, personally. Maybe it's just me I guess but...meh. I hear from a lot of people who caught up with it that it's really awesome, so I'm still really curious~ + that beginning really caught me. So much blood :D Getting stapled in the mouth sounds REALLY painful. Owww. I wonder if any of the characters are going to be likable later on. They didn't really get off to good start IMO :/ I shall see, I suppose. |
| Well this episode was pretty contentless. Not much happened at all. Very nice art and animation though no doubt. Plot is unique. That's a good start. |

| That girls is fierce. This anime looks really good. The graphics are amazing. I was so sure this wasn't going to be the anime for me, though, and I still think that a little bit but the part about him being once a vampire was interesting, as is the other male character and the little demon girl. That senjouwhatever hoe has an annoyingly exaggerated personality. All the characters are banal and manufactured. That stupid conversation with the class rep at the beginning exemplifies the reason slice of life shows are generally the worst shit ever, i.e. because they're about the trite lives of boring people. It's even more uninteresting than 'paris hiltons bff' or whatever(which is the same concept), and even though there was only a bit of that in the show it's probably a bad sign in general when the writers have such low standards to have anything like that in their show even for 5 minutes. It's a corporate show that pushes the limits even further for shittiness in the mainstream (well, compared to the first season of Code Geass at least), and of course, as usual, everyone eats it up. I've been peeping /a/ lately and those stupid niggers are always boosting on it. I will never trust anon again. :humph: |
