All the IdolM@ster singles GONE !!!! Time to copy my previous post here: Online Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 9809 Threshold for BD this week is 306 !! A historical low I believe. Now I am very very interested in the full list later this week as I have a feeling that some titles released long time back could make a comeback to the chart and tell us how much more they have sold in all the weeks they were absent from the chart. And I wonder if we are going to see any BD selling <100 in the full list.... On the other hand, the singles chart is full of titles with good sales. All the top 21 titles sold >10k !! Record shows this last happened 6 years ago. And for this we need to thank the bunch of IdolM@ster singles and other anime singles: *4 28796 NouCome OP 11 15045 IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER 021 12 13843 IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER 022 13 13503 IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER 024 15 13082 IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER 023 16 12999 IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER 025 18 11675 KuroBas2 ED 19 11559 Golden Time OP 21 10345 Kill la Kill OP 23 7676 Samurai Flemenco OP 29 4640 Daiya no A ED |
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

After talking to you I paid more attention to the OP/ED and now I could say that there are a fair number of OP/ED that I found truly appealing. The only snag is that I have to banish the thought that:Very happy for these two: *4. 28,796 *28,796 Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru OP "S・M・L☆" by Afilia Saga 19. 11,559 *11,559 Golden Time OP "Golden Time" by Yui Horie But wish these two were doing better: 53. *1,611 **7,437 Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai OP "Anicca" 68. *1,206 **4,814 White Album 2 OP/ED "Todokanai Koi '13'" Strike the Blood OP sounds like a High School of the Dead 2nd season OP Tokyo Raven OP sounds like an Index 3rd season OP Coppelion OP sounds like a K 2nd season OP LOL I ended up loving the Aoki Hagane OP and the 2 ED very very much, and I love to play Aoki Hagane OP, Strike the Blood OP, Tokyo Raven OP and Coppelion OP in succession to indulge myself in the mood of action thrills from the music. And besides these OP, the OP for Kyoukai no Kanata, Non Non Biyori, Outbreak Company, NouCome and Galilei Donna are also great. For ED, the one from Ms Monochrome is hard to forget. And besides the two ED from Aoki Hagane, I find the ED from Nagi no Asukara particularly soothing (interestingly like Aoki Hagane this one is also related to the sea and water). Idol style songs from Samurai Flemenco and SekaTsuyo are also my favorite (well, being an idol fan, this is not surprising). And then there is the Coppelion ED which is done in the style of social protest song back in the 70s (and one that I think is too good for the anime itself). The OP/ED for Kill la Kill and White Album2 are in a class of their own. The former is so full of elements from those nostalgic late 70s idol tokusatsu drama; and the latter always get high praises for the music even back in the VN's days - the OP and ED are pure beauty. |

^^^ See, I knew you'd come around LOL Seriously, glad you found more you like. For me the real problem is trying not to order them all... and just the ones I really, really, really want to put on heavy rotation for the next few months. Not sure if we'll see WHITE ALBUM, SOUND OF DESTINY or others from White Album 2 anime CDs for a while so I broke down and ordered a game OST from last year. If they put out new versions I'll likely get them too, surprised actually that the OSTs aren't on there as bonuses like Symphogear G as it is the same record/production company and they usually follow that model, plus character song CDs. Makes me a bit less likely to get the Blurays. |

I don't think I have ever seen a week as slow as this. I'm a bit disappointed by symphogears V2 sales. I was checking all the stalker estimations of Autumn anime(and GC), and since I have no reason to just let it sit in a notepad file on my pc, I decided that I might aswell post it here. I thought it would settle to lower 200s or early 300s but instead it often went as low as 500s or even 600s. If it had stayed higher I would say 5-6k is quite feasible even after factoring in the late solicitation, but now it seems that it only gets a sharp boost in a new episode but then slides quickly into some low ranking afterwards. The much lower average ranking is showing its effect on the downward adjusting sales estimate. And StB took a rather big hit, but I think that had more to do with it being put up for pre-order so late. rederoin said: BTW, I think it may be proper to include the DVD estimate for Gundam BF because the format of the DVD is very different from the BD. The BD is formatted in BD Box each containing 12 episodes, but the DVD is only released in 2-episode DVDs. This means vol.1 of GBF BD is a different beast from vol.1 of GBF DVD. For this reason I only count the two versions (deluxe and standard) of the BD together and separate out the DVD number. 3k -> 6k Gundam Build figthers |

Seeing Hataraku Maou-sama! listed twice in this chart and the LN list makes me quite happy. I wonder how LB Refrain will do in the next few weeks though.. Oh I haven't seen the Madoka movie 3 yet but that ED song makes me curious now. |

Looking pretty pathetic all around on so many levels. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that I'm generally enjoying this season so that means of course Japan has to pretty well not be. Generally if I enjoy it Japan has zero interest and it bombs or just barely breaks even, if I'm indifferent or outright dislike it it's a destined best seller or at worst a modest success. JizzyHitler said: rederoin said: God i hope that doesnt happen, i cant believe a show as enjoyable and easy to pick up as flamenco could do that bad. Especially when a garbage adaption like Blazblue is estimated to do twice flamenco is. Honestly that makes me more angry that BB is even doing slightly below average, it doesnt even deserve to chart1.2k -> 0.9k Samurai Flemenco Japan doesn't really like shows like Samumenco. For one it has a balanced cast, the male lead isn't a muscled handsome dude so no fujoshi are going to buy it, the female lead is an idol but that's kind of cancelled out by the fact that she doesn't really sing anything outside of the OP and is shown to be flirtatious and interested in cops, there hasn't been much in the way of fanservice that I can recall, it's just been pure super hero love and send up. Plus it's on noitaminA which is considered to be somewhat outside of the realm of otakudom and targeted more at mainstream crowds interests. It was pretty much doomed from the starts. Potential bestsellers are things built like Infinite Stratos 2 and Free and the like. Lots of eye catching female and male designs respectively that give the buyer crowd the scenarios they want fanservice wise and the story, notable character development, themes and motifs, and all those other things that generally matter in most media markets come second if that. If there's one thing I've learned in recent years it's that the things that the average person thinks would matter most tend to be way down the list on what it will take for anime buyers in Japan to fork over money and this season IMO chose to focus on those things more than what sells a little bit more and is thus paying the price. |

Are these numbers what Stalker estimates to sell overall or just from their supplies? If it's the former then. I hope that the actual numbers will get higher! Teekyuu suddenly dropping is bad, but with that level of sales, it's still considered a success. c: Aoki gaining back! Wonder why IS2 vol 2's estimation got that low? Strike The Blood's low sales is saddening, but given its 2-cour nature, I'm hoping that it could turn the tides back! I also have another question! To any experienced members out there, in your estimation, what would be the budget for an anime, ranging from: - Really cheap to make like Teekyuu - Mid-end anime like Outbreak Company - High-end, action oriented like Railgun S - Blockbusters like Shingeki I'm trying to gain a better hold of how the industry works overall! Also, would you say that 3D animation, if done right with good models, is better than hand-drawn animation? Will it be cheaper to produce in around 5-10 years? |

Still upset over Nagi no Asukara as well it deserves more sales and that wrestling anime gaining more sales than it is an even greater insult even by a couple hundred sales. Also if DiaLovers has huge sales I will punch something ugh. >_> I thought Outbreak Company would have more sales than this for moe shit its actually pretty entertaining better than most of the non sequel stuff this season. |

The estimate is supposed to be all sales at all retailers in the first week as reported by Oricon (no more no less). Thank you! I realized that it was a problem on my part since I didn't clarify it clearly, sorry! Seeing all the sourgraping comments here makes me want to wish that the shows they hate sell well. And I'm seeing DiaLovers in the Animate Top 10 recently its still hard to predict how much it sells (I hope it sells okay, probably I'm the only one who wishes this and I might preorder the first volume DVD...) |
