I found the episode intense I guess.

I like how Seira is going all out in that fight. Wait, so Luna still parts of her humanity. I can't say I'm entirely surprised by that though given her close bond with Akari. All hell is breaking loose~

OK episode. Kinda cliche how a friend gets controlled but still has a little bit of themselves inside of them. I was hoping that Akari would be forced to kill Luna in some way (maybe because I never liked her) and become more like Seira. I thought it was being forshadow'd when Akari was killing all those Daemonia who were beging her not to kill them. I wonder what's going to happen to Seira at the place she went to. It seemed a little forced for her to lose her powers.

I would have prefered it, if they explained how Cereburem even tricked them all into thinking that. Also, what the hell do those people think they're doing!? You would think Adults would be smart enough to think about how the school is even connected? Witches? For god's sake we live in the modern day, unless you have got evidence saying that witches are real, and that they are the witches, don't act on it. Dang, people are a little too trustworthy of that guy. Then again, I think he has mind control. I liked the dark mood in this episode that is showing everything falling apart piece by piece.

That Cerebrum guy has too much power to be able to control all those people into attacking the school, I really want to see his downfall soon. But I wonder what Seira plans to do at that building, and it appears that Luna can still be saved seeing that she's not fully possessed. So I look forward to see what happens next.

Okay...

- Luna is leashed like a dog and is unable to control the Daemonia side. Still has her bit of humanity and wanted to save Akari. (Yes I thought that biting Seria was her type of revenge, but same time she can only target one?)
- Seria can not fight...
- The instructors were encountered by the Counterpart Tarots and barely escaped.
- Akari fights alone... Really alone. :(
- Luna tries to manipulates Akari ("I do not want to be alone" kind of Mummi feeling), but Akari refuses and wanted to save her instead.
- At first I thought the little girl was a mini Elis, but turns out to be Cerebrum. (Boy, stop acting cute! ;_; )
- And the mob destroys the academy. :( What happened to Seria and what-nat? ;;

Jeez it felt intense.

Etia. But yea, I thought it was her too. She was talking about things would happen if she "left the cage" whatever that means, so I thought maybe we had run into a time paradox or an illusion from the past. Then, like a ton of bricks it hit me...... "Oh god it's the shapeshifter." And then I expected Akari to get stabbed too.

But they seem to be giving each character a uniquely crafted despair.

Ginka went and sploded, Luna became some kind of human/daemonia hybrid, Seira got her powers sealed away and now Akari's forced to fight all alone.

Things just keep going from bad to worse with this show. It's either gonna have the most conclusive, satisfactory ending ever, or the worst most contrived ending ever.

Seira is bitten by Luna so she can't transform anymore.

Akari changes quite a bit I guess since she was killing all those Daemonia like nothing.

Luna freed herself for a moment to let Akari to escape, seems she's still has some of her humanity left. Not surprised that it was caused by Akari consider how close she was to her.

Didn't realize the little girl was Cerebrum at first. And Cerebrum uses that one politician dude's influence to get the academy destroyed.

Wonder what'll happen to Seira considering she's heading to the place Luna is at and is powerless.

Luna is the embodiment of The Moon. Even with The Emperor jammed into her, that's still 50/50 Elemental/Daemonia. Called it last week that she'd have her humanity at least semi-intact.

Also, it wasn't Cerebrum that drummed up an angry mob directly. The politician (Ichiro Hakamaten is his name, leader of the New Philanthropy Party for whatever that bit of trivia is worth) is indebted to Cerebrum, at the very least for killing off his competition (and a few TV reporters in the process). By the very nature of being a politician, he's got a sizeable network of social and professional contacts and so he was tasked to spread a rumor about Sefiro Fiore. Basically, "Hey, [business owner/church clergy/campaign financer/farmer Joe/YourNameHere], I'm telling you this in, like, strictest confidence but gee whiz you know those people involved in magic at the top of the hill? Yeah, they told me that all these recent deaths and disasters is a result their occult magic gone awry and they tried to bribe me to keep my mouth shut! Can you believe that?! Man, I just don't know what to do! Anyway, gotta go. Bye!" and word spreads like wildfire throughout the city, breeding overwhelming distrust of Sefiro Fiore (and soon thereafter Sefiro Fiore itself goes up like wildfire).

Also, complete non-shocker that "orphan loli" was Cerebrum. Blue eyes, pastel blue hair invariably means bad news.

Seira going to that building in the wilderness completely powerless and without telling anyone, what was she even thinking? At least have Akari on standby as she's literally the only remaining person capable of facing Daemonia, though I guess that's moot now because the Astralux is probably a smoking lump of molten metal now and she wouldn't be able to teleport to the site at a moment's notice anymore. Speaking of which, the Tendous mentioned there being levels within that gizmo that they have no idea how to access.

You know, I suspect the politician might be Leguzario. His rise to power and association with Cerebrum coincided with Sefiro Fiore being nearly completely defunded. The institution itself is dodgy as hell, judging by Laplace's defensiveness when prompted for answers. But yeah, my money's on the politician being a Leguzario chief who succumbed to the lust for power of political office.

Cool episode, at any rate. I'm actually bummed about there only being three episodes left (and judging by BD/DVD weekly sales trends, no chance in hell of a season two). It's no secret I'm irrationally fond of this show in spite of all its amateurish flaws; I'll probably even buy a scale/nendo/figma or two (if they ever release any) to kick some cash over to them (and I've only justified that kind of transaction once for a GSC Sayaka Miki scale figure). Gonna miss this show ;_;

edit: Hey, so checking the website for preview stuff it appears that next week Etia reveals her secret knowledge of Cerebrum's origins (both are deep blue eyed and pastel blue haired ... so, yeah ...)

So many mixed feelings on this series. Well at least the fight sequences are pretty intense. The blue haired loli was a dead give away and Luna's "inner struggle" trope has been done thousands of times. Looks like Akari is literally losing everything and everyone episode by episode.

Well, when the four girls went to Akari's fortunetelling house for cake it had been already stated that everything will go down and this has already happened this episode, the organization is no more (at least in a functional level), even before being burnt down the teleporter had no financing, Aakari is the only one fighting against daemonia (and she is winning because she has found meek ones who do not want to die or want to be killed). The only thing left is for Seira to ask Luna to take him to his boss to make her too a daemonia (in a gamble to get power and maybe klll cerebrum before looking for Akari to kill her).

It was quite obvious that (on an instinct level) Luna knew her bite would make Seira powerless (so she would not have to kill her) so next time she met Akari it would be just the two of them. Sadly Akari was not swayed by the hypoboobs, back to ye old drawing board.

Luna's daemonia form is pretty weird, and wow my favorite character loses her powers :( Seira is the only one too who fights with little hesitation. It must be tough for Akari to fight alone, I mean she used to be on a four people team, but she's still pretty powerful. I kind of want to blame her because it's kind of her fault that Seira got bitten, but it's one of those things...is it better to try to save someone who you don't know if you can save by risking people's lives or is it better to just stop it before it can get any worse?

It is in fact an original and the manga adaptation launched at about the same time*. The first chapter is up on Batoto and seems to go into greater depth than the show is able to in its limited 24 minutes per week. At least being an original property they won't be in the hole as bad due to the lackluster sales as they would have been with a licensed production. I think projected sales are something like 600-800 BD copies, well below the Manabi line (selling merch would certainly help the bottom line - I know I'd buy some Gen'ei inspired trinkets ... especially that beautiful tarot deck)

* The concept, character design and basic foundation has been around since Comiket 80 in early 2011 with the working title "Gen'ei no Messiah"/"Blood of Fortune", couldn't get anything published until this year though.

e: I am also interested in purchasing a live Tendou/homunculus to repeat the last word of every sentence I speak and just be all small and adorable and floppy all the time.

This is actually a pretty good episode, so much drama feels as well the action is good. Wow the angry mob just burned down their base and now, they are are on the run

However one flaw of this is sort of rushed when Akari became solo, and Seira now has to stand by in idle. Well that is my opinion, I hope these last two episodes will have a good ending.

This episode was a bit rushed and it didn't really show the impact emotionally on the characters the events behind the scenes also don't really have a good explanation.
The enemy is after Akari and made several attempts to get her however it seems Akari was called at the right time to prevent her from being taken.

It's a bit strange that the organisation of the school didn't see that riot coming they should know when rumours start spreading.

Damn good ep after a pretty long lull, the pacing in this show is kind of erratic but when it gets things right it's pretty fun viewing.

Cementary child turning out to be evil was the most contrived plot device I've seen this season, and the angry mob happened all too soon but I feel like the episode redeemed itself in other areas:

-The action scenes were highly entertaining

-The plot is finally evolving and we're learning more from the cat + crow

-I actually miss Ginka

and

-A particularly majestic OST that ccould carry pretty much any show despite its flaws. Not to mention that ED/OP as well.

Keen for next week

I know that I had some strangely Fellowship of the Ring vibes in the beginning of the first episode, as far as music is concerned.

I got drawn to the show from watching Ep01 at a friends house several weeks back, and now, I have to say that it's one of my favorites for this season thus far. Although, I do worry a bit about how they intend to finish everything in a satisfactory way with the little time they have left.

It's annoying how Sephiro Fiore is always one to a few steps behind the enemy. I keep thinking "you only realized this now?!" ... and then I get even more annoyed at the know-it-all animal "messengers" who keep spouting off things that crank up the annoyance level even further. Somebody shoot the damn things already...!

If they weren't so pitifully few, maybe I'd love to see some kind of revolt or revolution against this Leguzario organization... or just have the remaining girls fight in a mutually destructive final battle to end this transpiring train wreck of a show that started going downhill after a promising middle part... might as well throw in a bad ending too just because it's trying too hard in all the wrong places.

/rant off

On a less negative note, I'd like to see whatever remains of their battered faction to switch to some kind of guerrilla-style fighting action now that the tables have almost turned completely against them. Cerebrum and his pals have more than enough opportunity to take power now and it would be... totally foolish if they don't end up pressing their massive advantage at the moment.

Also, they dare not kill off Seira now...

Good bye school. And goodbye research and stuff as well, I presume.

The entire town (or at least enough of it that it may as well be) in Cerebrum's thrall.

Is Akari taking them to her aunts' place? What's to say that they won't be targeted as well though?

Akari had a very close miss. Ironic that it was one of Cerebrum's plans working that foiled his other one.

Another intense episode, I see all weak points of this show but I somehow like it.

Though I think Cerebrum powers, shapeshifting and overseeing everyone are simply OP, he can do nearly anything. If this was to be done right, he would only corrupt people hearts and leave doing bad things to people. He should simply give them power and leave them to do what they likes. This way he is one ultimate enemy they need to destroy.
