The flight training is fun and entertaining so far. It seems like everyone is working hard, including Charon.

We get to know more about Young in this episode. The reason why he uses a wheelchair and cane even though he can walk perfectly.

Really fun episode.

Loving Young a lot :D
His reason for using a Wheel chair is pretty nice.

Loving the flight training. Mutta being the only one using a G-suit was awesome.

And doing all kinds of moves for the first time was lol

Poor Mutta. Hibito doesn't give him a break XD And since he doesn't want to fall behind he has to do everything his brother did XD

Seems that nxt ep Mutta will ask Hibito about Young hehe. Can't wait.

LOL. Everyone pukes after the first time... Hopefully Mutta will pull ahead of the rest soon. I like the way Young approaches things. No mercy for Mutta!

Again, I'm loving the opening and ending. Has a strong slice of life feeling to it. But Angela Aki's ending was too damn perfect, and a great opening to go with it.

"Don't make it just go whoosh, make it go whoooooooooooooooooooooo"

That training was nuts, especially with the blind flying and trying to fly between the two other jets.

I really liked how Deneil kept referring to a notebook of the head and heart. I hope they touch up on that more later on, from what I could tell the notebook of the head is all of the technical training and the notebook of the heart is training that takes other people into consideration.

I think my heart did a little fluttering lift off when I saw Mutta taking off. X3 But then oh man, watching them pull those moves, I got nervous just seeing it, haha. Never mind the flying between the planes! And that piece of cake line, so much love! Great way to round off the episode about flying free even with all the concerns a person can have.

Curious to hear what the salute was about.

One of the great things about this show is that they take time to develop the characters--even the supporting ones. It probably is a little bit of a function of not being confined to a 13 or 26 week schedule, but we've seen a certain number of series with 100's of episodes and not nearly as much main character development as some of the supporting characters here. And yes, cute Serika grows cuter by the episode...

Is it my imagination, or is Mutta physically changing as this series goes along and he goes through training? I got the impression from this episode that he looks a little thinner and more toned than he did at first--and it was good to see he was at the front of the pack in the run.

I noticed this also. That is the first impression I got when I saw him running with the rest of the crew. I have a feeling we're going to see a lot more changes soon, not only from him but from Serika and the rest of the guys.

I think the salute is pretty ominous, I'm expecting some sad back story to it. I'm really liking Young as a character and I'm really looking forward to the next episode.

Anime like Uchuu Kyoudai is not for everyone, I'm actually glad that not that many people follow it. You'd see people complaining about it for being so "slow" and people wanting to see things that this show doesn't have.

Great episode, It's good to see the story focusing on Mutta's training and objective once again. Young is a cool character. I wish I was Mutta, I've always dreamed of flying in that kind of jet.

That was great! I love how everything fit together and how everyone's doing some kind of training, not just Mutta. Loved the ending, too. "Some things can't be prevented. All we can do is live until the day we die. Control what we can... and fly free!"

Agree with you guys. I really loved that part. Also, overall nice episode, this arc is so promising. I'm expecting a lot of feels. And yeah, nice flying animation and ending episode.

Deneil plays it rough.

Anybody else think they should have trained in a flight simulator before given actual planes.

Yeah, they probably should have trained in a flight simulator, but I feel like while I've been watching Space Brothers, I've taken the whole space aspect with a grain of salt (for lack of a better figure of speech).

There are plenty of times throughout training, or missions, or while Hibito was on the moon, that I thought, "yeah right, this wouldn't happen like that in real life". But I always just moved on because I figured that there are so many little intricacies and specific procedures that have to take place while training to go to, or actually being in space, that it would be nearly impossible to include them all in the show, or it would just be boring to watch.

Mutta is so lucky meeting Deneil Young again and this time as his private instructor
He's so eccentric, charming and fun passing on his experience and life lessons

For him to already prepared for the worse by walking with canes and driving a wheelchair is remarkable
The sub translating his watch from Rolax to a genuin Rolex previously is quite ironic

Sharon trying her best to keep contact with Mutta and Hibito by writing letters is so sweet

I was thinking it had something to do with the hole on that jet but it turned out to be just a bird that caused it. Maybe we'll get to find out next episode.

Wow, Mutta didn't know what he was getting into for his first flight, haha!

Cool that Hibito was watching though, they're so close now :)
Can't believe Hibito asked for a second ride after his first, I would have been destroyed like Mutta was... well guess that's why I'm not an astronaut...

you wrong, pilots never going through flight simulators when they need to flight for training, in NASA they need to flight to get experience, not to actual flights, the same with army pilots, only citizen going through simulators to fly citizen plain, and then they don't even need to fly real plain for training but used as vice-pilot.
