Am I the only one who couldn't figure out Kurapica's gender?
I thought it was a guy at first but I wasn't to sure. Could just have been a flat chested female. Then in the shower seen on the air ship you didn't see below Kurapica's shoulders at all so you couldn't decide then either there's also the fact that Kurapica hits Leorio in the face and Leorio mumbles something about waiting for him to actaualy fight Kurapica back. Fair enough he wouldn't hit Kurapica back if Kurapica was female :/
I'm on episode 26 and have only just found out because I checked the character database -_-

A guy ... a manga cover shows him topless and he's a guy.

I know that :/ The character database says he's male. As I don't read manga I wouldn't have seen that front cover :/

That manga cover also makes him look more feminine than usual, though >_> A friend had it as his display picture on MSN, from the shoulders up, and even after having after seeing the entire first 62 episodes I didn't recognise it as Kurapica and thought it was a girl v__v

At first I was a bit confused about his gender, yes. I actually had to ask the person that recommended it to me.

He becomes more masculine as the series moves on, though, and more badass.

The small bald character and Hisokas brother also gave me trouble finding out whether or not they were male or female :/ The bald character was harder though I didn't find out that was female until Leorio said so when Kurapica was leaving them after the Genei Ryodan Arc.

A character I still don't know the sex of (although, I think I remember it being confirmed, but I forget what sex was confirmed, if it was >_>) is the mousey character that follows Kurapica around during the Genei Ryodan arc, and has the super sensitive hearing.

Is a girl.

It took me about 3/4s of the series to figure out that Kurapica was a boy. >_>

That's the character I was talking about in my previous post. It's so confusing because it's bald but Leorio says it's female when she leaves :P

The manga says that Senritsu is female, it's certain. She stated that herself ))

As for Kurapica, i never doubted his gender, and only after i met some opinions on the net about Kurapica as a girl and after rewatching the series, i started recognizing the evidences that could possibly lead to that mistake =D Before that I could only think of the earring )))

Yet, i still don't have confidence about the gender of one of Killua's 'brothers', though it was clearly mentioned somewhere that he has no sisters.

Its a boy, although the author like to make jokes that he is girlish.... like when he got embarrased because he spread his leg on the train (i think?)

maybe we are all hoping for him to be a girl lol
