As HaXX said, it's perfect to introduce new players/readers to visual novels because it's short and has emphasis on the girls and their stories. But it's easier to get in love with much deeper and longer novels, at least it works for me. |

| In no specific order. Clannad Little Busters! Fate/Stay Night Planetarian Grisaia no Kajitsu Clannad and Little Busters! Were like for their enourmous content. Almost every route was amazing. Also their soundtracks were superb. Fate/Stay Night has Saber in it. And well it was just awesome. Planetarian had a somewhat great soundtrack, but the story eventhough relatively short, amazing. Grisaia no Kajitsu... A very good common route. Very enjoyable and awesome characters. I tend to dislike "genious" characters because that act all high and mighty and generally don't fail. The Kazami siblings however can pull it off. Also the characters have real dept and their behavouir make sense. I've decided to not put 4 Key VNs in my top 5 :P |

Hoshizora no Memoria - Wish upon a Shooting Star - * full-filled my character fetishes, almost died of overdose of moe 4. Yume Miru Kusuri * made me really like and play VNs, especially in the Ren'Ai Adventure section, also my first title with this specific characterization 5. Narcissu(+Narcissu Side 2nd) * first encounter of a new medium for reading; nostalgia as my first played Visual Novel honorable mentions: Shuffle! - very likable characters Tomoyo After - the better "after story"imho #Clannad Dangan Ronpa - entertaining krimi and best villain; first VN I've played through on PSP Eien no Aselia - enjoyable VN with a great turn-based fighting system G-senjou no Maou - entertaining krimi, great "true route" Kanon - superb music and great atmosphere #nakige |

| Seems like there is a general few VNs that people tend to agree on, anyways my 5 are: 1) Muv-Luv Alternative 2) Saya no Uta 3) Grisaia no Kajitsu 4) Steins;Gate 5) G-senjou no Maou 5th place was a pretty close call between a few VNs, otherwise 1-4 are locked in pretty solid. |

| In no particular order: - Muvluv Alternative - Ever17 - Remember11 - Fate/Stay Night - Steins;Gate - 999 Yes, That's 6 vns, but I can't help it. A couple of thoughts: - Grisaia no Kajitsu has some of the best comedy imo, but I've kind of lost interest in the more serious bits of the story, so I dunno. - G-senjou no Maou is pretty good, but I think it has a major issue, which is - Remember11 doesn't explain the whys very well, although it does explain many of the whats and hows... but it does have is magnificent pacing... probably the best pacing among all visual novels I've read along with the beginning of Muvluv Alternative. - The intro of Ever17 gives me chills. The same goes for Muvluv Alternative. |

I felt the most diverse mix of emotions from this as an experience.) 4. Sekien no Inganock (Extremely unique/original and stylistic. Sort of like the emphasis on a 'Favorite Work of Art'. :3) 5. Mahoutsukai no Yoru (Love Nasu's writing, but this goes above and beyond with the aesthetics being perfect for the entire medium itself. A true 'Visual Novel' indeed.) Here are some honorable mentions. :) - Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai - Muv-Luv Alternative - Symphonic Rain - Little Busters - Eden* |

| 1. Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa wo Hirogete The story is pretty good, the song is good, and the art is really beautiful. 2. Grisaia no Kajitsu I like the story about each character, and the ending song for each character is really good. Can't wait for meikyuu and rakuen. 3. G-senjou no Maou A little boring at the beginning, but the story really good (especially about detective like story,, haha,, i like that kind of thing) 4. Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star- The story, song, art is pretty good and enjoyable. So that's my top 4 VNs... I've played quite a bit VNs, but i just have that 4 favorites. |
