Oh yeah forgot to mention. Have you read this short story for Mugen Renkan? It's really nice and especially if you liked Little it is must read, since it focuses on her. Little's development went pretty much the way I thought it would if this had happened in the game...

Zero009 | 10-22-12, 10:55 AM
I played one game from last months releases(well I'm still going through pure girl slowly): Sinclient. That op is fucking awesome BTW lol
It was... well interesting title. Interesting in a way that I have quite a bit complaints about it, but at the time there was really much stuff I loved about it. Not to go into details much but the best thing in it was that it was really gripping. Spend pretty much my whole weekend to finish it lol. On the other hand the biggest flaw is that it is linear, meaning just one route. This game honestly could have worked better with routes, especially since it felt like things were rushing a bit near the end and some things could have used more development in the setting(same for some characters). Besides that the writer is complete dick to certain character(won't say the name to not spoil in case you want to play this some day) and since I finished this I have just been really depressed and can't stop thinking about it ;__;. Well I guess it is good thing that character manages to affect me this much but, there better be either "complete version" or FD in the future with a route for her. Good thing is that quite many feel the same way as I do so maybe they will listen to fan demand lol.
Anyway great game all in all. If you are into spy thrillers with quite a number of twists it is worth a shot. It's not exactly "deep" but for entertainment it is quite excelent. Also the game is not that long.

This anime season is looking really good. Psycho-pass, Sakurasou pet, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun(There's side character voiced by Yoru's seiyuu from Hatsuyuki Sakura lol) and Chuu2koi are in my opinion the best ones so far. Haven't yet tried Shin sekai, but I will soon give it a try. :)

Zero009 | 09-28-12, 11:49 AM
Heh I thought for a while that you weren't even going to reply lol.

Yeah what annoyed me the most was that he just was so annoyingly stubborn with the way he tried to go with the convincing. Honestly I would have had less problem if he would have gone from the get go to just shut off the virtual reality without asking anyone like he did in the end. Oh and part of the reason why I couldn't really give a damn about what he was doing was because I didn't see what Toyua(him too before memory loss) was doing as that "bad"(well minus the soul transfer lol). Also the MC not really giving a damn about Touya in the last two route also felt really wierd when compared to the first parts of the game. For gods sake he even prayed to him instead of god when he jumped of the roof in the the end of the sister route.
Still minus the Protagonist being a bit unbearable in the end I still have to say it was great game. And yeah Orizuka route fandisk WHERE!? I don't give a damn what kind of deus ex machina the writer needs to use but just give me her route XD.

For me, high ranking titles are usually more "safebet" in a way that they should be at least be good in many aspects. And they very rarely end up as outright bad games. Games on the middle range on the other hand are more like that can be almost anything from bad/dissapointing to masterpiece.

Jinrui was based on the first two episodes, well not my style I guess. Couldn't really get into it. Maybe it was just too wierd for me and in a not good way(not even sure if it's the fault of direction/presentation or the writing itself). I might try checking the rest of episodes to see if my opinion changes.

This months games are out... there's quite a bit of possibly good titles released. Still I go for now with just Pure girl. Fuck scenario, I need my moe and ero XD. And I still have to finish couple of other titles.

Zero009 | 09-04-12, 3:18 PM
Hmm... I thought the idea of relationship with mushi and its execution was one the most unique things I have ever seen in this already wierd entertainment medium lol. Also the entire Mushi clan and their way of doing things were just so out of this world. Ren was just amazing character and great personification of this. It wasn't exactly mindfuck though I guess. Well I personally like to keep my mind open to all different genre's so I can't really say which is my favorite. My top 10 is pretty varied in genre's lol. Well I can say that I usually like fucked up stuff, but only when it has interesting scenario with strong thematic elements(Mugen Kairou).

Hehe. Nice to see you liked it too.
Mika route was pretty great yeah, though of the initial three my favorite was Hiragi's. Still I wished it has bit more explanation what was all the Ice about, other than it being programmed(like the virus explanation in Mika route). I wonder did it have something to do with the company Hiragi's dad was working?
I didn't see the Virual reality twist coming at all and same goes for the virtual reality in virtual reality. Even though they had quite a bit of foreshadowing going on. Particularly the people's "unconcerned" reaction to the ice in Hiragi route should have been pretty obvious one. I thought it was some time loop/parallel world hybrid, but well... I was wrong. Well good this way since it is always nice to get suprised by twist. Same happened with Euphoria lol.
Orizuka is just pure awesomeness. Her chapter is just really depressing, particularly when you read it from her point of view in the omake scenario. But yeah this was one of my favorite parts too. Also those initial three routes are even more depressing when you know everything. I don't really know if I should even be happy about that extra H-scenario... Iri's scene on the other... that was just lol XD.
And that ending... That was pretty damn sly move ;_;

Still there was one thing I didn't really like about this game: The protagonists actions in the last two routes.
During the Naru route I didn't have that much problem except the fact he choose the side of the Naru too easily that it felt really forced. If the romance/relationship was more convincing this would have probably be ok.
But in true route... Frankly he pissed me off. The way he went off with his self-satisfied moral-faggotry hypocrisy bullshit was just really annoying to watch and I honestly enjoyed when no one listened to him lol. Thankfully the ending didn't go his way and Iri closed of the entire Virtual reality and then he had to pay the price of living "forever alone" in real life. That saved him from me completely disliking him.

It has pretty interesting setting, but I'm not that interested to try it yet at least. Do you plan to play it? There's not really anything that catches my eye this month, but next month has couple of interesting titles though. Right now I've been reading Dies irae. It's pretty cool so far.
I think you shouldn't be paying too much attention on the votes. There's quite a bit of good stuff in the 80 range and even lower too. Just a matter when you find something that fits your tastes. Also this title has quite a bit of votes in the 0-20 range which if I were you would just ignore. Probably just trolls.

Oh and happy Barthday btw lol.

Zero009 | 08-24-12, 11:38 PM
Well yeah Extravaganza did lack those so I guess that is one reason you might not like it. Also the setting is kinda different too. No fantasy or sci-fi... just mushi's lol.
I personally though enjoyed Mugen renkan for pretty much the same things I enjoyed Extravaganza, the fascinating characters and their developments in messed up situations. Though I can't deny the stuff at the end of chapter 4 wasn't one of its highlights. Euphoria on the other hand was just really great entertainment with couple of interesting ideas and fun crazy characters. Though it also managed to be pretty "deep" in its true route.

I finished 終わる世界とバースデイ and I thought it was excelent overall. I agree that some of the slice-of-life is a bit boring to read, particularly the stuff in common parts, but you are done with most of it so keep going lol.(Though I did like pretty much every scene when "Daitenshi" appeared. I totally love her xxx言うなー! catchphrase XD.). And yeah that ending was quite WTF but in a good way. Made me stare in the screen with "?" for a while lol. In any case be sure to finish it since you won't understand much during the first three routes. The last two routes will start explaining everything. Also be sure to check the three omakes when you are done with the true route.
Well we can talk more once you are finished with it so I won't say any more now. I'm kinda curious what you will think of certain twist fufu~.

Okay I won't touch that game for a while. I'm not really good with complex systems in VN's. I had some huge pains going through YU-NO and I was using walkthough lol. That system does sound kinda interesting and unique though.

Oh yeah, the general's speech was one of my favorite moments of alternative too. Well it's wakamoto so how can it not be awesome lol.
And Eclipse... well I'm enjoying it but I admit those beach episodes were quite... I don't know XD. Hopefully it will get a bit more serious soon.

Zero009 | 08-03-12, 7:22 PM
Don't worry with lateness, but it's still nice to hear from you XD. I'm on the other hand spending my summer "efficiently". Probably don't need to clarify that lol XD.

It seems the link went off after 7.20, so I don't know if you saw it but there was this awesome memorial service for Mamiya in that link XD. Still here's picture of it. Now you can pay respects to him too lol.

I Finished Extravaganza 100% and saying I loved it would be understatement. For me it even Topped Mugen Renkan and made it to my top 3. The plot managed to be really engaging the entire way and even the "side" routes/endings were just really well done. Particularly I was honestly left almost speechless how amazing Ageha-hen ended up being. The game wasn't flawless of course, but the things it did right far overweights those flaws.
The Chart system might be bit of of pain in the ass, but with walkthrough it is quite easy and I don't regret getting all the endings since many of them were just awesome in quite varied ways(won't deny that some of them were still just for sex scenes though). Especially 森に溶けて is maybe the most beatifully written ending I have ever seen.
Hmm... kinda suprised you didn't like it considering you liked Mugen renkan. They have quite a lot of similarities too especially with the protagonists circumstances and the theme of growing up(or not in some routes) in fucked up situation. Well there was quite a bit more action and not any huge twists like in Mugen Renkan so maybe that's it? Or maybe the "wierd" relationship with the Mushi-kun?(who is BTW incredibly moe lol)
But damn the cast was just pure awesomeness. It might even top Muramasa for me. I so want to become Nishi-sensei's apprentice lol.
Now where's my つんでれゆめみ and げぼくのれんご fandisk XD.
Sorry for fanboying. I stop here lol.

古色迷宮輪舞曲 ~HISTOIRE DE DESTIN~ is getting pretty damn great ratings at Egs. What's it really about? Based on synopsis it seems to something about fighting against fate, but I guess it has more to it too?
I'm actually playing 終わる世界とバースデイ myself right now. It does remind me bit of Down the rabbit hole II in Subahibi. In any case I'm liking it so far. I hope I get to finish it by the end of next week since after that I don't have time for a while. Well I guess I just need to put Hikikomori mode lol.

I guess you meant 創世奇譚アエリアル? I played the demo of it and thought it was just okay, Liked the setting but had problems with lot of the other stuff. I probably won't play it for a while and even that tempting NTR won't help lol.

Yeah I finished Alternative. It was excelent game overall, but it didn't quite make it to my top favorites. A bit too much problems and even though it was really epic during chapter 9, I guess it just didn't Impress me that much to be the best thing ever lol.

Zero009 | 07-20-12, 2:06 AM
Happy Tsui no sora lol

Btw have you played EXTRAVAGANZA ~蟲愛でる少女~? It's from Mugen Renkan's writer and it really show's in the writing/plot. Anyway I'm loving what I have read of it so far.

Zero009 | 07-02-12, 11:47 AM
Nah there's no problem with what you said. I don't get butthurt if someone doesn't like something I love lol. And although I'm not really the type of person who likes to argue that much, but if you agree with everything that's also boring lol.
Oh that scene. Yeah it was pretty "exciting" haha. Still I liked Azuma's hairjob(?) the best. Come to think about it that might have been the trigger to that fetish for me XD.

I'm currently at episode 7 of alternative. Coup d'état arc was pretty great, but the stuff that came afterwards was even better. Being Takeru is suffering...

I finished Wedding blue and all I can say is WTF at the story. The heroine makes absolutely no sense even for NTR standards lol. The art is great and ero was pretty good when you ignore that the build up totally sucks and the scenes come out of no where(also the amount of scenes was fairly low). Still overall pretty dissapointed with this title. I guess I should check out more Elf's stuff like 人間デブリ or 媚肉の香り if I want some(hopefully) good NTR and with interesting story to boot.

Haven't been watching anime that much lately but if I get in that mood again I might give them try. Texhnolyze has been interesting me quite a bit especially. From what I heard, it is supposed to be really nihillistic show so it should fit my state of mind and tastes pretty well lol.

Zero009 | 06-29-12, 2:57 AM
I kinda get where you are coming from and I do kinda agree with things being a bit too convenient at times. But on the other hand I have to disagree with thematic being shallow or cheesy. That was the part I particularly liked about the story and so I could look past some of the not so great plot developments and things that didn't completely make sense.

Regarding the Nozomu confrontation, Yeah it was the classic "last minute save" that happens... well quite a lot lol. But to say something positive about that it wasn't Hatsuyuki that solved the "problem" but the teacher. Hatsuyuki was just being cool lol. As for the Aya memory thing... yeah that was quite stupid. Not to mention the way it was done is really forced. I mean during the entire year Aya didn't conveniently meet any one that would make her remember, but when things are about get serious suddenly those two old customers appears and makes her question stuff about herself. It was so obviously set up so Aya would have role in the end.

About themes being cheesy... Well I can't deny some parts weren't but overall liked what the story tried to tell. Although the quality was bit varied between routes I still think the did good job and keeped it consistent thoughtout the game(as in a way that none off the routes felt like it was completely different game). And regarding the stuff about the graduation, when you take into consideraition what it meant to Hatsuyuki himself I see absolutely no problem with the way it is handled. Still I can't deny that the ending confrontation could have been a bit more subtle with some of it's dialogue like that concert thing you said...

Well I already finished Muv luv and it was actually quite good(yeah my taste sucks lol). Now to hurry and finish Alternative before total eclipse starts...

This months eroge's are released... Plan to get any? The only one I will get for sure is Wedding blue lol. NTR万歳!

--Sunclaudius | 06-15-12, 9:47 PM
Yep.. i wil try ^^~ Thanks

Zero009 | 06-14-12, 9:30 AM
Well that is part of what I meant, though I think Elk was quite obsessed the moment he saw Snow as he even betrayed his tribe by teaching her the technique. Little certainly influenced him though and not with just that rape(though it seemed quite consensual to me lol). There was even that one conversation in epic 2 about why he should protect the land etc and Little gives him some wierd ideas lol.

So you finished Hatsuyuki, nice.
Good to see you liked at least the character interactions. That was definitely what I enjoyed the most of it too.
Still I don't think the plot was bad. In fact I thought it was quite great minus couple of points. Going by routes, I think Sakura(mainly for the awesome bad ending), Aya and True were all great. Azuma I thought was pretty average all the way(the villain was just so generic bitch). The ending though was pretty nice. Shirokuma and Nozomu both had pretty weak starts to their routes but both redeemed lot in their last chapter. Also bonus point goes to Shirokuma for having imo the funniest scene in the entire eroge: "Onani scene" . God I nearly died of laughing when Hatsuyuki explained his masturbation habits to Shirokuma and Aya was right behind of him XD. グルルルルシロ!! lol
But overall it was really well done and in my opinion quite beautiful work.

生者が死者の夢を見るように

死者が生者の夢を見ることだってあるんだよ

Oh yeah Azuma's seiyuu was pretty great too. Those afuu~ etc noises were just too cute. This too(from 5:15) XD.

I yeah I heard of that and it does look pretty great, Might check out the demo of it soon. And lol I actually started to read Muv luv myself.

--Sunclaudius | 06-13-12, 3:46 AM
A lot of Visual Novel will come out..
Do you have Reccomendation? OAO

Zero009 | 06-05-12, 3:22 AM
I will definitely keep an look out on this writer from now on. Euphoria and this are turning me to his fan XD.

The character writing in this game is really amazing. There haven't been many eroge that made me this intrigued by its characters.

Yeah Geggu is just utterly disgusting... frog lol, but I think he is quite interesting in a way. Particularly his pathetic/coward side was well done IMO. The way he acted when Zowabo was trying to take the protagonist away from her and he pretty much was pledging during the h-scene that she wouldn't leave him made me almost feel sorry for him... almost. Then the entire epic 1 of him lowering his head to levashu and using those cowardly ways to test villagers strength and finally acting like a boss at that village when there's no obstacles just reinforces his disgusting character. And finally I think the detail about his past as slave when he otherwise had pretty decent life but he couldn't handle even the verbal abuse from his master puts the final nail into the coffin and really shows how pathetic and weak he really is. So in short he acts all high and mighty when situation is for his favor but right after something goes against him his ready to lower his head and do anything so his own neck gets saved.
In a way he was for me quite good character but yeah I didn't care for him at all when he finally died lol.

Elk is really complicated character and I'm not sure I got him right either but here's my interpretation of him:
First of all I think the reason he said he betrayed his tribe and snow isn't quite correct. Sure there parts that hints him wanting new kind of life and travelling elsewhere, but that's at most just side part of it. I think the main reason for his actions is his love(or maybe fascination is better word?) of Snow... and Little too. During Epic 2 you remember there the scene right before Elk decides to betray Snow and his tribe? Dipu would have given Elk a new life and not as a slave but as butler so he could have lived a decent life if he accepted but he still decided to betray and it was all because he would never see Snow and Little again. So yeah I personally think this is pretty huge contradiction to all the stuff he says during the later part of chapter 3 when snow is captured. But the question is then why does Elk act like that in the latter part? I think this is quite interesting since Epic 2 ends right before the Snow is captured so you can't really get into the head of Elk and see how his last descent to darkness happens. I personally would think that he really is just cornered and has nothing to lose so he goes with the flow and does everything so things stay the same. In the end I think it is his fascination of Snow/Little that pushed him to his actions and not because he wanted the new life. Or you could say he wanted new life but Snow needed to be part of it.
I think re-reading the entire chapter 3 again might give some new insights since now you know that he is from the start deceiving you.
Well that's my intereption of his character. Don't know if it makes any sense though lol.

Hmm... Yeah I think that might be quite correct in the last scene of that bad ending. I at first had no idea who that old man was, but him being levashu might be quite right, considering the inhabitants at king's world had quite long life spans. I still get chills when I remember the last "h-scene" between the villagers and Roana. So fucked up yet so awesome at the same time. Roana totally powned those witch paranoid villagers with her 死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね死ね lol.

Yeah I looked at the other liquid titles and most of them seems to be just nukiges and the ratings are all quite low compared to this title. It would probably been more succesful if something like Black cyc was the company behind it since they seem to do dark and fucked up stuff AND have great plots at the same time(at least some of their titles). The budget would have probably been bigger(though I have bit of a difficulty imagining how the characters would look with Black cyc art lol.).
Not to mention many probably won't ever play this because of the lack of advertising(I honestly didn't even know of this eroge until you said) and/or think it is another nukige the company is known for.

Been a quite a while since I've seen Kanon so I can't really say anything about Hatsuyuki sakura feeling like kanon lol. Hatsuyuki is such an awesome protagonist. His sense of humor just fits perfectly for my tastes. Anyway nice to see you playing it.

Ps. Sakura's seiyuu is awesome. I didn't know Ai shimizu voiced eroge before this one lol. I hope she will have more roles in future.

Now Is Reitaisei 9 OAO

Zero009 | 05-26-12, 12:15 PM
Okay I finished Mugen renkan a while ago and... this really is the last game I thought I would cry lol. More seriously I have to say it really was pretty damn fantastic and managed to be that to the very end. Anyway here's some incoherent thoughts...

-First of all I have to say the infodump/plot revelation scene at the end of chapter 4 is one of the best scenes of that kind I have ever seen. I really had to stop reading and think for a while after that. Particularly the twist Protagonist=King was just so fucking awesome that I got chills after realizing how so many things made sense. And of course the good thind is that I didn't that coming at all. Extremely well done plot twist I would say.

-Marie's death scene was fantastic. I was a bit worried they would kill her, so I was really happy they decided to let her die of old age as It really emphasized that things won't stay eternal. The scene itself was very emotianal(nice use of CG) and I won't lie I got bit teary eyed during it.

-Setting was extremely interesting. I'm not sure how accurate the portrayal at each age was but they still managed to really make it really vivid and distinct in presentation. It was really neat to see for example how people's moral outlook differ in chapter 2 and 4. You can really feel the passage of time.

-Characters were for the most part amazing. Protragonist, Marie, Gustave, Zowabo, Little, Elk, Mirudiom and hell even Geggu all were very well characterized in my opinion. Even the other side managed to do their job in story, though I wished Tokieda had more screen time. Only one I was dissapointed was Levashu. He was a bit too much "120% LOYALTY!" lol and that made him quite one sided(well he was okay in chapter 1).
And yeah I think Mirudiom was pretty interesting character. The writer did quite awesome job of still making her symphatic(or at least pitiable) after all she did. Her end was pretty sad but well at least she had her memory with little even though it also was filled with regret.

-Elk was for me maybe the most interesting character of the entire game and made me think the most. He certainly wasn't very likable, but he was extremely human with his weaknessess. I liked that he stayed alive in the end, not because I liked him or anything, but him living in guilt and shame is fitting and IMO bigger punishment than death. I think this would make him eventually stronger and he can reevaluate what is important to him etc. What's your opinion of him?

-Production values were pretty good overall, but I wished Male characters were voiced. Also I would have liked there were more non-ero Cg's. And why doesn't this game even have proper OP?

-While I loved 魔女ト扱ワレ死少女ノ末路 bad end the rest weren't quite on the same level with the exception of the last one. The ones in chapter 3 were quite good, but the ones in chapter 4 were quite dissapointing. But the last bad end you unlock after finishing the game was really great. If you haven't played the bad ends yet do at least 魔女ト扱ワレ死少女ノ末路 and 覚醒――壊れた心の果てに. They have some interesting stuff.

-Where's my Marie/Gustave backstory fandisk?
