That is what keeps the writing fresh. Combined with the fact that main characters constantly die, Jojo's really sets the tone for battle manga. He keeps on babbling about pseudo this and that, but I don't think he knows what he thinks it means. Araki is never really deep about themes and instead focuses on solid stories. If you are accusing him of that than by all means, he is guilty. Not everything should be like Eva. |

What fluffybunnyboy says is simple: The problem with Steel Ball Run is that it takes itself too seriously, and tries to be philosophical and deep, when in fact it's just a simple history with some plot holes. It's too pretencious. For example, I love Diamond Is Unbreakable. And it's not like the plot is perfect, it has a lot of mistakes, but I don't care, and if somebody asks I would say "because Araki". And that's because it isn't a manga that you should take too seriously, it is a light series to relax and enjoy, and it's really good from that point of view. But since the moment Steel Ball Run tries to be serious and deep, I just can't keep forgiving mistakes in the plot. I have to judge it by other terms. And that's why it is worse. |

| Lol. Commies gif fit this episode so much i couldn't stop laughing. That posing everywhere. I swear if i watch more of this show am gonna make some silly pose at some moment and everyone will just look at me like am crazy.  Also, lol those scientist with the masks shouting and shit but because we couldn't see their faces exaggerating it seemed even more ridiculous. Don't get me wrong this isn't criticism i actually loved it. |

| Awwwn, man, as soon as Mark said that he was fianced, it was too much of a death flag, he was already dead :/ That new Caesar is hilarious, totally at the opposite of JoJo. The pigeon trick was great, came out of nowhere xD The new trio seem really powerful. Dat head drill, when Gurren Lagann is leaking :P Also, I'm sure that we'll hear about Santana again in the future episodes. Next episode, Caesar and JoJo are pumped, it will be a showdown! |
