I've only cleared the AA route. Which is supposed to be the "true" route?

Wait what? Official translation?
How brilliant of me to notice this now when my torrent queue is already full and my GB's are dwindling away D:
I'll have to keep it in mind.

Kinda want to play this... I might make it my first visual novel. Kinda sad that VNs are expensive though so I might have to pull some strings and download it. >_<

I bought my copy couple weeks ago. Just waiting for it to be finished translating before I give it a go. The group is close to being done, and it looks like they're doing a brilliant job.

I recently finished the AA route as well. The game itself was pretty good, though it felt like a lot of things were rushed and didn't get as much attention as they deserved while other less important things got more. It seems to me like they had a lot of great ideas, but weren't able to put all of them together properly. Don't get me wrong, it was still a great game. Some of the scenes were amazing, like the one near the end where:
Wow, that scene was powerful. Although, for a while I thought that was going to go on forever... like he'd just keep having delusions.

Also, the delusion a little earlier in the game where
Oh man, I was shitting bricks.

I'd say it's all canon. But B is said to be the true ending.
AA: Good ending.
A: Normal ending.
B: True ending.
Something like that.
But AA was the best anyways,

The only thing that really made me like the B ending was that

The A ending was fine. I'd say the B ending over A though,

Overall ChäoS;HEAd was a very good game, great mindfucks, good action, good characters. The only thing missing was porn.

Correcto, but also individual routes for the "heroins" (I mean, mix something more traditional into this game could only help the story improve imo) .

If they built the game with that element thrown in the mix the game should have lost all of its rough edges imho (wow I just used imho for variety , HHNNNGGGG).

edit: I remember that I heard that the 360 version will contain routes

AWESOME'D, but I don't have a 360--

I just started playing this a few days ago, and I love it so far! :D Does anyone know if there's a walkthrough anywhere for the different choices?

This goes for you as well Frequencity (I'm assuming your running Vista also).

I had the same problem with mine until I did the following.
Ran smoothly ever since.

Control Panel >
Region & Language Options >
Administrative Tab >
Change System Locale (1st Option in the Administrative Tab) >
Choose Japanese.

Worked for me, hope it works for you.

Or you could just use Applocale instead of changing your whole system to Japanese

It doesn't chance the system to Japanese.

It just changes language support for programs that don't support Unicode. If you happen to play Japanese VN's a lot, no reason not to.

Your PC will remain English.

It doesn't have to remain permanent either, you can easily change it back when you've finished :P

You just have to run Applocale once and have it set to automatically run whenever you want to play. If you have other programs that don't support unicode either it'll be easier just to use Applocale.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, doesn't only Vista Ultimate have Japanese support?
EDIT EDIT: Nevermind, just checked. It was language support that only Ultimate had, changing the locale should work fine on others versions.

Anyway, either of those should work.

After hearing all the hype about the game being much better than the anime I thought I'd try it out. But, I have a problem with installing the traslation.

I have installed tha game normally, but when I use the "Glorious Installation.exe" from the translation it tells me "Please install the game; an error was detected in ChaosHead.exe at line 2252". I already did that twice with no result. Can anyone help?

Okay, I installed the game on Vista after screwing around a bit and having trouble for a while. Changed the language like I was supposed to as well. Works fine, no problem, but it's not translated, so I can't understand anything.

Downloaded the apparently unfinished translation, but it doesn't work. How do I install? Does something mess up with Vista? After going through the whole thing the game remains in Japanese. Is it possible to manually install through the everything file? I have a feeling it's administration problems, a common thing that pisses me off whenever I try to install something on Vista.

I swear, VNs give me a headache just to get working. Maybe I'll just have to wait until the completed version is out.

Finished AA and A, game is reasonably long, I think I ended with like 22 hours played or something. Going to play through B once they release the final (totally done editing images) patch.

It's very very good, 2nd best VN i've played so far, behind fate/stay night.

And you have to run this in japaense-mode somehow to make it work, no matter what. So either use applocale or change your entire system to japanese. I prefer applocale because I have something that lets me right click "locale japanese" on anything (you can get it too, google ftw). ALSO, you can't save on day 7, don't try, the save gets corrupted.

Nice bump!
The game probably doesn't require a thing from your computer.. it's a VN.

I'm at the end of chapter 6, where you're supposed to be able to see a bad ending.
According to a walktrough, you're supposed to ignore the Delusion Trigger and then answer "NO" 3 times to the questions you get. But I never get any such questions even though I do ignore the trigger...

I love the music and the main character in chaos;head

but everything else is meh, I wish the female characters got any meaningful character development and the story made a little bit more sense.

still it's a 9/10 for me
