| I loved it. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a perfect ten is that it deviates a bit from the manga. Other than that though, it's so primal, melancholy and tragic, how can one not love it? |

| Loved this OVA, although the only reasons I gave it a 9 were that I didn't like Himura's girly voice and because the romance part wasn't too convincing. Other than that, it's an awesome series filled with a lot of action and drama. |

| I've never seen anything RK-related before, but man, I was absolutely blown away by this OVA. I gave it a 9, but only because I don't give 10's too easily. I would've loved to give it a 9.6 or something similar, but sadly this site doesn't allow it. :( Well then, I better start watching the rest of show! Though it seems this OVA is the best thing about Rurouni Kenshin, I think I'll still be able to enjoy the regular series. |

| Do you even need to ask~? Take some of the best action and put it together with great romance ~Awesomeness~  I read someone review it on another site, and they really pissed me off. They gave it a 3 . . . Who cares that they cut the action scenes short, the pacing would have been messed up if they were any longer~ Don't you think so? Here's this guys review: Seeing such high reviews forced me to watch this again, sadly I still think it's a poor one. It starts off with an awesome little tease, with Kenshin's master killing a few bad guys to save him. Well this is about the only action your going to see here, but the real problem isn't the action the offender to me is that they explain Kenshin's back story and I just hate it. In the show when Kenshin talks about the horrors of war, well I thought he had it tough, but looking at this makes me think he's some kind of emo child rather than a snapped killer. Of course it's filler so to speak, rather than continuing the manga story which was more than available they made up their own ending to the franchise that was loosely faithful, the creator doesn't seem to mind as his other franchise Busou Renkin has a sword in it titled after the ova. While he may be taken with it I'm surely not, it really ruined my perception of everything I loved about Kenshin. Yet another miss is the legendary fight between Kenshin and Saito, which has been hinted at forever, well they tease it but then cut away before showing it. Such a missed opportunity, I really feel like it got the whole vibe of the show wrong in so many ways. . . . and he gave it a 3 out of 10~ That just really pissed me off, to have to read this after I posted my review giving it a 10 |

| Just re-watched this with a friend yesterday and just like the first time, I was left in awe. I adored all four acts and the way everything build up to the final moments was just wonderful. It will continue to remain a 10/10 in my list. |

| I wish I had watched this when I was younger. I still enjoyed it a lot now, but if I had watched this when I was 11 or 12, I would have been mesmerized. I would normally have rated it a high 8/10, but considering it was largely made for children, I gave it a 9/10. |

| I believe that this particular ova/movie should be ranked number one and possibly considered as the best all time anime. Only three other websites that I have seen currently has Reminiscence listed as number one on those sites, and there could be more that I am not aware of. At any rate, I love this ova series, truly the best that I've seen along with Cowboy Bebop, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. |
