Priorities List
10 - Only the finest, top grade Anime and Manga. Reserved for personal favorites of mine, and should the oft-chance, low-flying masterpiece swoop down (more the former than the later though, really). Anything receiving this I either own, or plan to own in the near future.
9 - Excellent series. High quality stuff, certainly, and by all accounts in top form. Generally kept to series of unsurpassed technical quality, missing just that extra hook necessary to make it a beloved classic in my book. Probably a worthy addition to my collection a little further on.
8 - Good, solid series. The immortal B Pluses of Anime, lacking in just a little of that polish to push it over the edge into True Greatness. Respectable though, and a complete and entertaining package. Possibly a target to track down for my collection later on down the road.
The Backburner
7 - Reasonable series. Salted and peppered with some noticeable flaws, but enjoyable for what it is. Worth watching at least once, there's a sliver of hope I may chance to pick it up behind the rest, if the opportunity presents itself.
6 - Okay series. A cut above the common cloth, but that's about it. More of a curiosity than anything, and definitely low on the hierarchy of shows, occasionally drifting into the very real threat of sliding into the trash heap, though occasionally also better than itself. Would not buy.
The Trash Heap
5 - Average series. Nothing too jarringly bad or awful, but not much to really recommend it either. I guess you could watch it, but with so many better series to choose from, it gets left behind. Usually a prime candidate for dropping unless short, retroactive, or I'm too far in.
4 - Boring series. Stale and uninteresting to watch. If I ever feel like I have to force myself to go through something, odds are it'll end up here. Technically series I "Don't Get" or that started promisingly but ended up disappointing will end up here as well.
3 - Poor series. Either not very well put together to begin with, really, or simply earning of my active dislike for whatever reason (legitimate or perceived). By this point I stop putting up with it and just let it fall.
2 - Bad series. Exactly what it says on the tin. Arguably terrible production values, and/or dislike bordering on as much as I can hate an nonliving collection of images. There is absolutely no reason for me to keep up with this.
1 - Awful series. If for some strange reason this isn't dropped immediately, sunk somewhere along the way; and then got dropped. Fortunately, no ending has yet managed to drag an otherwise followable series this low. Yet.
hi there x)
just wanted to tell ya than one piece manga is getting better after a couple of chapters) so yeah dont drop it, the main thing hasnt even started) you will be surprised x)
Thanks for continuing to read our releases! We took a while to release chapter 3 for various reasons, as you may have noticed, but translation is already done for chapter 4 so it shouldn't be long until we release it! Also, yeah, we don't really need much proofreading at this point in time, but if ever in the future you feel you can help in any other way, let me know ASAP! All helping hands are welcome.
Also I thought I'd take this time to semi-advertise my forum, since I'm trying to get some new members. It's the parent site to our Scanlations team, pretty much. There isn't one set theme there, but rather a collection of smaller themes. It's nice, general place to chill :D
Thanks. Yoshikage Kira is probably my favorite antagonist in any manga. His ideology is unlike any other; he simply wants to live a normal life. Plus he's a magnificent badass.
I was flying through JoJo a few weeks ago but I've put it on the back-burner for now in favor of other, shorter, manga. But I'll definitely pick it up soon; part 6 and 7 look incredibly awesome and knowing Araki, they will be.
And yes, ACO is a fantastic movie. Kubrick is definitely one of the best directors.
