| A promising start, it seems better than upotte at least (as if anything wouldn't). If we get some good tank battles it will be enjoyable, but we will see. Some of the character designs look pretty nice too. I like that they included the StuG III, one of my favourites of WWII. And it looked gloriously ridiculous with the banners and the paintjob. Didn't have a problem with Commie's subs. Even though my german (let alone japanese) is very lacking, I was able to understand what they were talking about, and it did give a nice touch to the show. as long as the tanks get more screentime than cute girls doing cute stuff, I'll probably keep watching this. Have to see a couple more episodes before I'm decided though. EDIT: Oh, and I'll be disappointed if we don't see a t-34 in the show. |

German tanks were named after large felines, not people who designed firearms :P As for those looking for some nice vehicle identification: Pink: US M3 Grant/Lee The opposing tanks in the opening were already identified as a Churchill leading 4 Matilda II's. Some fun facts about the tanks depicted: -The Churchill was the replacement for the Matilda II, which was woefully undergunned even at the start of the war (37mm 2 pounder) and could not be up-gunned. -The Matilda and Churchill series were infantry support tanks, and thus had no need of being any faster than men on foot. Miho's Panzer IV is almost twice as fast as them -The StuG III would typically not be operating alongside tanks. They were employed by the artillery arm -The Panzer IV was designed primarily to provide fire support, not for tank-VS-tank engagement. However, in 1940, its short 75mm gun was the only German tank cannon that could take out a Matilda II (albeit at close range). However, it had better growth potential than the Panzer III, and long-barreled versions entered service in 1942 to counter the T-34. -The M3 was a stopgap measure as they were designing the turret for the M4 Sherman. It was basically an enlarged M3 Stuart light tank with a 75mm gun stuck into the hull. It was extremely successful in North Africa because it had better range and firepower than the tanks Rommel had access to - he never got appreciable numbers of the long-barreled Panzer IVF-2 or G. -The Type 89, like almost all Japanese tanks, was a support vehicle intended for use against poorly equipped infantry. It would not be effective against even light tanks from most other nations, and was quite vulnerable to antitank weapons. Of course, the Chinese kind of lacked both of those. |

| Although, seeing the ending, the mainland city is still many times bigger than the carrier. symbv said: Hope so. There's anough share of emotional anime this season.My guess is that this show is deep down light-hearted so I think we will not see death in this anime, kind of like the other anime which has a large ensemble of female cast doing military thing i.e. Strike Witches. But some kind of injury or shock resulted from some action / mission may be involved, again like Strike Witches. This may cause the trauma we see in Miho. According to what was shown, my guess is that she by mistake bumped into a Tiger at close distance and was hurt/shocked quite badly as a result. Just worried because the story in that manga about Miho's elementary school years. |
| I got as far as the first 20 seconds or so (when the horribly-camouflaged unit on the cliff moved out and stopped watching as soon as I saw the tanks: -A pink Lee -A gold Panzer 38(t) -A red, white, blue, and gold StuG III covered in flags. -A tan Type 89, probably the closest thing to an actual combat-ready tank, except for it being a Type 89. No thanks. |

| I always love to watch something stupid but new and fun rather than your generic shounnen, ecchi, harem etc....So I found this anime is amusement. BTW, recently I have read a manga with the setting: " girl and battleship", make me lolz so hard. |

As I said before the idea seems to come from Naginata-do (a halberd-like pole-knife weapon) where the martial arts are formalized in different rules and the use of the Naginata is not the same as how it was historically used in real combat. So all those no-nos like colored tanks, uniforms, lack of combined arms like infantry or artillery, or mixing self-propelled guns with tanks are not really a problem in Senshado. Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
| Interesting RoE So the tank, parts, ammunition and armours must all be approved by the consortium. Tanks used must be manufactured or designed before the end of WW2. Also, no targeting human or already disabled tank. |

| Im sorry but there's a limit on my brain for the amount of garbage intake for the period of my life 50% rl stuff, 5% anime, 5% on family,35% my better half and 5% useless stuff. This exceeds my 5% useless stuff by 25% and as such have corrupted brain cells. Commie version of this hurt my brain so much they made a horrible choice using german terms for a japanese anime translation. It was just too retarded to read and understand that certain words should have remained in english and omg the spelling of those german words were just horrid. No reason to be surprised for me to continue watching this because I've been corrupted by how bad it was that you just can't stop watching. Sorry if this comes as a hurt to FBs of this show but i hope all the characters would all take cannons to the guts and die. Then maybe I can recommend to my friends that it was awesome. 'Sigh' so many things wrong with this anime on many different levels. BTW the fan-service SUCKS! |

| Am i the only one that didn't mind the german subs? O.O Like they were pretty annoying but you can easily figure out what they meant by the context and/or the japanese audio. I'd imagine by now most of us can understand most of the common phrases, just through reading other subs in anime :/. (I haven't taken any japanese courses btw). |
| I was really worried there for Miho-chan, I was expecting her to have a mental breakdown and go Nice Tank on the class. From the flashback it seems she has every reason to have PTSD. A pity this show doesn't look like one to delve into it further, I actually want to see someone going off the deep end for a change. 5/5 loved every minute of the episode, the girls are nice, I don't really mind the CGI, and the social commentary was enjoyable (girls forced/mindwashed into doing things because of tradition? Good thing we never had something like this in our world! / sarcasm). I hope this keeps up, one of the more entertaining shows of the season. |

Although modern modification to the tank is forbidden, the cockpit itself is modified to a safety standard to keep the crew safe. So maybe a combination of weaker ammunition and stronger shell inside. Shooting human are also against the rule of engagement and they did hide inside when the shooting starts. |

| Animation was quite awful and characters are on the worse side. Quite disappointing as a first episode, I hope it gets better. |
