| just wondering, because i've been pondering whether to buy one or not, basically what I want to know is can you watch anime in the tablets browser from sites such as animecrazy, animefreak etc. Just like how you would do from a PC or a laptop. By the way i'm not looking for anime apps. (just lettin you know:) |

| Do tablets have flash? and even my cell phone can watch anime, I believe there are mobile anime sites. I would be surprised if a tablet can't play anime, but then again it probably depends on the video player. Go to best buy and try one out by going to animecrazy, then you will get your answer, try to find an episode with all of the main mirrors. |

| Android-based tablets should support MKV right out of the box. EDIT: Oh, streaming. Depending on your version of Android, you may or may not have flash support. It seems to be dropped past 4.1, but you should be able to find alternatives. |

| Sure is, there's many good players. Other issue is space... since tablets don't hold much space and a serie can quickly take up tot 5+ gb. But you can play pretty much any format I wouldn't advice playing blu-ray/FLAC with 800MB+ per episode it would probably get lag issues. |

| If you look up on Google, watch anime on ipad, then results will show. chances are, players that work for the iphone and ipod prolly work for the ipad as well |

| Not sure about android, but Goodplayer on ipad does a good job, you can swipe horizontal or vertical to trigger subs and audio english/japanese. 720p plays fine it starts having some issues with 1080p and blu-ray files though usually more than 350MB+. If I want to watch an anime I would recommend AVI xdiv versions, it's pointless downloading huge MKV files, because they hog too much space and are an overkill for tablet resolution. |
| Crunchyroll has its own ipad app. I know youre not looking for apps, but take a look into this anyway. Animeultima.tv's videos (apparently) work on the ipad, just choose the videos from the mirror auengine (since they upload an mp4 equivalent) or from mp4upload (self-explanatory). |

Anyway, there is a two-week trial period for Crunchyroll so might as well give it a shot. Also, there's always persuading your mom/dad once to use their credit card. After that, Crunchyroll automatically siphons $6/month so unwary parents will take a while to realize it xD If you've got the balls, try the latter option LOL. |

That's the first time heard of Crunchyroll being location-dependent, but it works where I live (Australia) and we're usually the first to get screwed over in online services :S |
| Crunchyroll very nicely so, and Netflix additionally. All the anime you are likely to need on the move. As with all these devices of course, they use very light reflective glass and thus watching in the middle of a park in the sunlight is going to be impossible. Watching in a store will require you aim it away from lighting so you don't end up with effectively a mirror reflection. These devices (well Android at least) can also 'talk' to your computer, so anything your computer can do, it can display. Which means sitting in a chair more comfortably, or in bed and let your PC do all the work. It's a shame my Asus tablet seems to lack the software to identify flv file type. |

| Just wondering if anyone here has managed to get near flawless MKV playback on their tablets? I searched online and some players do look promising but a lot sites just point you to converters. I was thinking of getting the Google Nexus 7. |

| For streams, try Viki for Android. I have season 2 of Games of Thrones in mine (not streamed or YT). Just get the right player. |
| YouTube and all html5 players should work fine. Flash player will need some tinkering. Personally I just use the utorrent app and play videos via MxPlayer. Haven't had any problems with dual audio or subtitles. |
