| I dont think we'll see Kamina back. After all they had a long time to develop the technology to create genome's head as a computer. While Kamina is burried. Also it wouldn't be the real Kamina anyway. We'll just have to deal with the loss ;_; |

| Was pretty awesome, I thought the part at the very beginning of the series was Gurren Lagann combining with the arc to for some kind of Super Arc Gurren Lagann but now I'm guessing it's Gurren Lagann combining with the moon. |

| I'm surprised nobody feels sorry for all the citizens in the Arc-Gurren when it transforms. Noone in his right mind could ever do that, there're ~180,000 people inside its legs and arms and body, and its kicking around like that. Gonna ****ing kill all the passengers, gg. Yes, because the show has followed realism in every other aspect for 22 episodes, right? You've missed the point of this anime so badly it makes you look more stupid than the premise of the show, which is quite clearly not taking itself seriously. | Its epic because it gets exponentionally bigger as the series goes on, from underground to space, from a small mecha to a ship the size of the frickin moon, its the exponentional factor that makes us shout 'epic', its the grand scale of a bunch of plucky humans kicking logic, reason and the odds against them in the face and going forward anyway. A character says, I dont know in which episode, 'your chances of succeeding was 0%, it seems reason doesnt matter to you guys" which is meant to make you laugh. Laugh? Remember how to do that guys? Think I need to bump a thread I made a while back... |

| Awesome episode. For me the little part with Nia at the end gave it a nice little uplift too, on top of their battle victory against the Anti-Spiral Extermination System or whatever it's called. :) And of course, the Viral and Simon combo is pure win. As was Gurren-Lagann combining with Arc-Gurren and... the moon cathedral thingy. Just -awesome-. :D |

The very reason why I was disappointed with the first post time skip episodes was due to the very fact that everyone was now serious and talking about government and everything. Don't get me wrong, I love intelligent series, but TTGL is NOT meant to think, its meant to make us give in to our primal and basic instincts, forget every notion of reality and just have fun as we watch pretty shiny things blow shit up! Anyone here want a serious anime with giant robots? Go watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, also by Gainax. If you want to use your brains that much, it won't disappoint. |
