| a bit harsh, but I can't say I disagree with them. especially after seeing his fighting form disintegrate so quickly after the bell rang. I'll lose all faith in this anime if he actually wins this match though |

| you know, at first i thought i wouldn't like Ippo that much and thought he was a bit annoying but i think he's quite a nice character. he seems genuinely kind, and i love how cool and supportive his mom is too. he makes for a pretty good MC in these type of anime, looking forward to his growth as a boxer and a person i like how Ippo is already somewhat strong physically from working with boats, so he won't just become strong out of nowhere for no reason like in some sports anime i hope he also realizes that being physically strong doesn't make you a strong person, and that he becomes strong emotionally as well |

| Seems like Ippo is a natural genius at boxing He learnt things by looking and listening to it Seems like that boxing place is really harsh, like way too harsh I guess it's how boxing works? But won't it scare away the newbies and killing the business in the proccess? |

| It's nice to see that he didn't end up making like a tree and leave after realizing how hard it actually was to catch more than one leaf after catching the initial one. It was interesting to see how it worked in technical terms too. He's sparring against someone who's better than the average boxing professional and he's looking like a fish out of water right now... |

| Holy fuck. When I mean great animation, I mean GREAT. This show takes account into so much. With both body language and form, the show almost feels real in a way. And the pacing is great, this episode went by in a breeze. |
