THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The episode was good and all. Breaking through defense, getting passes, all that stuff. I liked it. Then the last two minutes kicked in and then... thin Araki. WTF?! I mean, I predicted that he would return and join late in the game, but to lose all that weight in a short time? Not even the Biggest Loser contestants can do that. Just...wtf. |

ueda said: THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING! O.ohow did he get so skinny tho This episode was interesting in a match between these two clubs. A team that emphasizes boring, defensive, physical football of "The Dark Ages" (English style). The other that loves to have fun attacking football, with flair and technical skills on the ball (Barcelona/Brazilian style) which imo always beats defensive teams. Nice goal by Kakeru, I really hope they win. ![]() ![]() |

I want to know the secret to Araki's weight loss. Even if he trained since Kakeru talked to him, there is no way he could have gotten that thin. It was still a good episode though. |

An epi heavy on soccer (for the first time lol). I liked it, really fun. All teams on 3-5-2 for some reason. xD Dude tries to make a foul but the second goal happens and he dislocates his shoulder in that! Epic fail. Kakeru is playing too much more as a defender than a striker and he even has some "memories from his brother" to develop how he shouldn't do that (really, why dude? XD). He scored with the right leg! Nice shot and all but he is still avoiding using the left then? HikariNatsumi said: I want to know the secret to Araki's weight loss. No way! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liposuction They're too young for that.. XD So he's bound to be awesome next epi because the build-up was huge. |

nice episode but araki getting thin and athletic in an instant is BS. Did I miss a time skip scene or something? |

Maybe he wasn't even fat and it was just a mask and costume. They'll explain it. |

2/5 for the fatty getting some magically fit in no time, among other. You cant lose such a protruding belly in even a month. Well maybe if he trained in Kamisama's chamber where time slows down. Bloody unlikely though. |

I guess no one reading the manga here, they skip like 2 weeks for this. If you really want to know what happening you should read the manga, so far the manga is much better but fun to see an anime of this. xD Spoiler manga below ProBlackbird.Wordpress.com - Check out my Blog |

... 2 weeks to lose probably 40 pounds? is close to impossible. Maybe it's possible but definitely not healthy. Well maybe that's why they waited for him to play in the last 20 minutes but still... |

Nice goal by Kakeru, I really hope they win. Actually, those two styles are both "English" styles of play. Arsenal was the first to play attacking, technical football in the 1930s, teams back then were of the "hoof-ball" style of play. They also pioneered the winger position. Want to know how "attacking" the Arsenal formation was in the 30s? It was 3-4-3, but the "4" is divided into 2 pairs, with the "attacking" pair forming a "W" with the 3 upfront (which are 2 wingers and a striker). Arsenal, quite rare for an English club, was the only team that plays technical football for decades (except for most of the Graham years). ![]() |

Well maybe that's why they waited for him to play in the last 20 minutes but still... Depends on what your diet is. If you cut out soda and sugar all together you'll drop a good 10-15 lbs in a week. I did anyway. Drinking water, running, working out, and eating healthy helps cut out another 5-7 lbs within a week. With that said it's pretty much impossible to go from super fat to fit in 2 weeks time like he did. |

I don't mind the fact that Araki lost his weight in such a short time, but that Kakeru really stood out too much in the game. One minute he was in the oponents area and an instant later he defended the goal ... it's impossible. Now it's seems Kakeru is the only player on his team who really plays. And also it's a bit annoying how he always touches his chest ... |
