| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The guys are nervous after Azuki's call. lol @ the second call, but that makes the situation worse. Saikou is mad at the girls not trusting them, and Shuujin is feeling guilty about him being the cause. I believe it's the couple's first fight, isn't it? Shuujin trying to solve the problem, but it's hard because female mangaka has feeling for him. Even Miyoshi heard about the argument that the couple did for their friends. It would be hard to solve because both are stubborn and Miyoshi is feeling guilty, too. Without the report from Azuki, who read it as usual, the pair are nervous. What?! top 1?! Saikou is too happy that he's reporting Azuki about it. Female mangaka is 2nd and is happy. Female mangaka, by editors' suggest, asks for working with the assistant guy again, but he's being proud and hurt her. While Shuujin try to explain the misunderstanding to Miyoshi, female mangaka getting in the way, but both Shuujin and she explained the misunderstanding. Miyoshi allowed her to talk to Shuujin, and she also made friend with her. Shuujin also proposed to Miyoshi. Saikou is being nervous and got confused by Azuki's mail because the misunderstanding has been solved. lol @ Shuujin with 3 girls! Solving female mangaka's problem next ep.? And about Fukuda? |

| Glad to see the misunderstanding has been cleared. Funny ending for this episode. Aoki-san has really changed since we first saw her. Didn't like her at first because her of cold stuckup attitude. Now, she's a likeable character thanks to Shuujin. |

| This episode reminded me how much I hate the relationships in it. I think the series would be so much better if the were all single and M&T (and the series itself) just focused on anime. |
| Well it was a funny episode. Nakai is definitely a douche. Anything he gets is too good for him. And damn, Aoki sure grows on you. But damn, from the previews, I think I know who's going to be her prince charming... ^^ And what's with the kids proposing left and right lol. These guys are crazy! |

This, now granted i obviously knew Takagi would make up Miyoshi and they would end up together (didn't expect the proposal though) but i wouldn't have minded him going with Aoki either since she did a 180 after knowing Takagi better; leaving Iwase as the only intolerable one out of the three. Well even though the scenario resolved nicely and rather quickly Azuki still bothered me on how controlling she is, Mashiro said it best if he gave in she would own him in the future (seeing how he was about to fold in the end, she still might). Nakai is a total loser, well i don't see him going anywhere with that assistant so logic says it will all come down on him sooner or later, hopefully its sooner rather than later because i never really liked his character from the get go. |

| did anyone else feel like this 'arc' actually undermined the relationships in the anime? It was good when the subtle romance constructed the foundation of the plot, and even bringing out some of the flaws in the relationship and developing drama could have been good ways to strengthen the anime, but I feel like everything that just transpired really weakened the romance aspect of the anime. I was fine with Mashiro 'pure, innocent, idealist, and naive little romance, I really liked it actually, along with their promise and drive. It worked, for what it's worth. But Takagi's proposal was just... weak. Sure, it was sweet and surprising, but when you think about it (and maybe i'm taking this too seriously) they're just little kids still, they don't spend that much time together, and to decide to get married after serialization (which is pretty much bound to happen soon, given their current rating) just seems like a cheap trick to me. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it that much, and I can still see a lot of potential (especially regarding the manga, I mean, it's great that they paced 1st, but it was with a kiddy gag manga, so I expect something major changes to happen again) but they went from some places that had some opportunities for redemption, and ended up with them all laughing and sipping tea at a family restaurant, with the cute and confuddled Mashiro on the phone... come onnn... and "oh, 'what are the chances of meeting again at the zoo? this isn't a manga!" Ha.Ha. Breaking the fourth wall has its moments, but I was expecting something more, not that cheap, overused joke. On a positive note, I'm really starting to love Aoki. Her character is definitely developing. That's one thing the mangakas have always been good with. And Nakai has gone from a somewhat likable and pitiable character to a real ass. I guess that's another good thing with this arc, it elaborated on some of the secondary characters and really added depth and dimension to them. I mean, we all know some people like Nakai (and Aoki) IRL, even though they are fictional characters. anyway, I'm glad to be out of this arc at least. I really honestly wanted to love the romance in this, and I really did for the most part, but Takagi and Miyoshi's relationship always seemed pretty shoddy to me. I like both of the characters, but I just can't take their relationship seriously (maybe because I've seen it a million times in High School... well, their example is a little better at least). I feel like this arc tried to strengthen and bring insight into their relationship, but in the end, it just feels more flimsy and uncertain, and pretty much undercuts their feelings, and effectively carries that sentiment over to Misaki and Azuki's previously pure, sheltered, and untainted feelings. Despite being idealistic and unrealistic, it was perfect that way. Now it feels slightly tainted. well, lets get on with the manga now! |

| So the last two episodes have made me extremely dislike Azuki. She was ridiculously controlling in this situation, a problem that actually had nothing to do with her. She can't just demand Mashiro to go and tell her things that aren't even his business and he has no right to tell. It was Takagi's and Miyoshi's problem, and yet she started yelling about how she cant trust him because he didn't tell her about her mom and his uncle. It had nothing to do with the actual situation. Anyway, I absolutely love Aoki now. She's so adorable now that she's not acting like a stuck up prick. Oh if her knight is who it looks like it is, I'm gonna be crazy happy. Oh and Nakai, how the hell did he turn into such a douche, how many role reversals can this show pull off in one episode!! That was ridiculous, I'm glad she slapped him, he deserves worse for acting all high and mighty when he doesn't have anything going on with him anyway. The assistant probably doesn't like him either. I hope he ends up in the snow begging to go back to Aoki again. I forgot, I dislike Azuki's mom now to. She just completely ignored the fact Miyoshi just said she got in a fight with a friend which is why she was depressed, and started asking about how Azuki and Mashiro were doing. Timing much lady!!! |

| When Aoki slapped Nakai I was soooooooo happy :') I used to feel sorry for Nakai because he had unrequited love, but then suddenly he became so arrogant, bossy, rude, and plain ANNOYING. Now I hate his guts. As for Aoki, it's the opposite. I thought she was rude in the beginning now she's my favorite female in the show. This proves that Bakuman has some good character development!! I think Aoki x Takagi is VERY cute, and I'd so love to see it, except I'd feel pretty bad for Miyoshi because she's also extremely nice and suits Takagi. NICE EPISODE. |

| I'm glad to see that they all made up. Maybe Shujin and Miyoshi will get married on the same day Saiko and Azuki do. Nakai is pretty pathetic. A lil bit too expected imo to see them get first in NEXT. I wonder how they will in Jack as a one shot. |

She was scared of people and held that attitude because she was afraid of getting a bad reaction or taken advantage if she was more open. Lol at the zoo scene when Miyoshi caught them like that, the faces. Nakai got a good one there. You could say that he was being an ass for putting such condition but hey on the other hand he didn't have much to lose since she rejected him already so he took a shot. I think people overreact a little. Glorious slap!  Btw that slap scene made me noticed that Aoki is well-endowed. it was confirm in later scene. Just look at the size of those things. Also Aoki leg service. |

| I'm amused that even when the whole issue is on Takagi's side, Mashiro manages to be the one that has a screw up which needs to be fixed. Like a lot of people, I'm just sort of glad this is over. In many ways I agree with Merciless said: This episode reminded me how much I hate the relationships in it. I like Miyoshi fine as a character, unlike Azuki, but there's really nothing about the relationships that I wouldn't rather replace with more manga stuff. As for Nakai, he was always sort of creepy, and he's right to be angry about the insert character in Aoki's manga, but I've been really surprised by how vile they've made him. He's been just intolerable ever since meeting Natsumi, and you were clearly supposed to sympathize with him before. It's pretty rare for even the narrative to switch a character's role in this direction without big external changes. |

| As everyone else has said, I loved the slapped Aoki gave Nakai, cause he's the lowest of the low for saying that.... I know a lot of people like the whole Miyoshi x Takagi deal, but in my heart it will be always be Takagi x Aoki...I can't help it..they just look so good together. Although maybe Fukuda will make me change my mind..will see... Nice episode overall. |

| Urge to choke Azuki rises even more. This part felt WAY MORE Shoujo-like in the Adaption, than it did in the manga. Not that I would've mind that. And now it'll go straight downhill. Can't wait for this arc to finish. |

| Aoki x Takagi would be nice, they would and seem so nice and more fitting with each other than Miyoshi. Oh well, I hope this accelerates Nakai's exit from the plot, everything would be so much better without him, kick him off Team Fukuda. |

| Love how Aoki's character has been developed over the past few episodes, and three cheers for that slap to Nakai. Of course any relationship he has with the other assistant only exists in his own mind. Not only has Aoki not had any male friends prior to Takagi, I don't think she really had close female friends either--so it will be good for her to hang out with Miyoshi and Azuki. It would be nice if Aoki got together with someone who understands relationships--someone who is concerned about other people and might be able to give her the support she needs--someone with long silver hair and a hat... Can't wait for the next episode. |

| At first i felt sorry for Nakai , because of the way Aoki rejected him , after he did so much for her, but he really deserved that slap. I'm not the type to say stuff like 'Oh, well he/she definitely deserves her/him". I personally think it's not about 'deserving' , but more actual attraction and feelings , so i didn't hate Aoki or anything. I do admit she got on my nerves when she started liking Takagi, but now i actually kinda like her. RANT: Oh My Goodness! Kaya and Takagi are getting married! I knew it was gonna happen and all, but still - Congrats to the lucky couples ! I wish i could get proposed to like that...Okay maybe not exactly like that , but it'd be cool to have such a dedicated boyfriend, especially with the way things are nowadays. Overall - I loved the episode and i felt like 25 minutes just flew by me. P.S Some Fukuda lovin' in the next episode ? Hell to motherfuckin' yeah ! I've been waiting for an episode that features him and it seems that Aoki and him might have something going on..or not. Who knows? (Well, i'm reading the manga, but still xD) |
