| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This episode definitely DID NOT disappoint. Rider's ultimate EX rank noble phantasm AKA his mark of badassery is finally here in all its glory! The animation, the bgm, the sheer epic-ness of it all is just simply... amazing. Ok so the episode had some really interesting points about kingship and stuff but I totally forgot all about it after seeing Ionian Hetairoi, that is how badass it is. Although somehow I do remember most of the sentences uttered by rider. This gar king deserves a quote library, almost every single sentence is plain GAR. Assassin tried to be funny and reject Rider's invitation. You DO NOT reject a king's invitation. On a side note it's pretty nice seeing the garden of Einzbern castle animated. The very same area where Shirou and Sakura enjoyed a midnight stroll in fate/hollow ataraxia. |

| Even though the largest part of this episode only showed three of the servants talking with each other I found it highly interesting. The first cracks begin to show in Saber's and Rider's relationship as two different views on how a king is supposed to act clash. This also seems to be the moment when Archer starts to take an interest in Saber. |

| What an episode. My favorite so far. So awesome. I'm only disappointed in Gilgamesh's laugh. It wasn't even close to as good/funny as it was in the sound drama :< Maybe another cutscene? |

| Now that's a fucking Noble Phantasm. I'm really glad at how this turned out in anime form since I really loved this part in the novel. So I guess the first "season" of it will end right before the Caster battle. I was hoping they'd end it at this point here since it's a pretty good stopping point but I guess right before the Caster battle will get you pumped up for the second half before realizing there will be a painfully long wait in between. |

| They should have saved more budget in this episode rather than pouring it into the "dickstroking episode" that we call the 10th episode of Fate Zero. Seriously derpfaces. There's no problem with the story and plot of this episode though. |

| I presume that Saber took heavy mental damage, she could not stand up to her ideals and answer Rider. A question popped into my head in this discussion.. If I were a king, would I be a King who has the same stand point as Saber or Rider? Rider's Noble phantasm was fantastic and well-animated, it sent chills down my spine :D.. Saber's losing to Rider both in verbal and Noble phantasm, hope she recovers her kingship :D |

I think I finally found the best face of Irisviel in the following, the perfect anger that is cute to see and not offensive but there is just something to it that I can't exactly put into words. The way it was shown. Anyway maybe it's just me who finds it that particular. Waver shaking his hand while looking back at that very look of Irisviel was hilarious as heck as I checked that comedy segment despite it being very short. |

| Good episode,Rider is just a badass. The animation was shitty this episode also i see they cut important parts to the plot,lets hope they show it in BD's but lets see. Rider own this episode,his dialogue with Saber was amazing,he make Saber tremble but also discussion wise he trash her my poor Saber she suffer enough in her life to now get judge by Rider T_T The discussion of how being King i must say i agree with both in some parts,but i agree more in Rider side you cant be 100% for the people if no you will be eaten one day by them you most be hard,greedy,tyrant but at same time noble,is hard to archive but that's the perfect king for me. Its a shame they cut most of Gilga dialogues,specially he saying he will kill Rider,still he was enough badass to bring the wine with him. Rider Noble Phantasm was probably the best of the whole episode,now that is a Reality Marble (learn Emiya Shiro!!!),his speech was amazing that almost make me want to be his soldier i will follow you to the death RIDER!!! Hopefully next episode we get back to the same lvl of animation and hope they dont cut as much as they did this episode. Btw epic Noble Phantasm is epic! |

| great episode, man, it was totally epic!! The 'meeting' with three epic kings was awesome by itself, but seeing rider's noble phantasm, is something beyond epicness!!! LOL, at then totally annihilating the assassins, but what hit me the most, was how different all three kings' ideals were, and i think saber has been left mentally hurt... anyways, can't wait for the next episode!!! XD |

| And so he was called, Alexander the GAR. Loved this episode, but every now and then there were some quality...issues? Not sure what to make of them. Also, I loved how there was no opening since there was so much crap to fit into this one episode. Great decision I'd say. |

| One down. Err, 40 down? Great episode. I didn't really notice anything weird animation wise. Lot's of different camera angle and drinking faces, but I felt that it was how it was supposed to be. Sometimes they would keep their faces towards their drink, but still look towards someone, is that the weird eyes people are talking about? |

You've ruined this episode, and you take the responsibility. They cut just about everything that made this part climax + the most emotional part of first half. ufotable ruined both script + sakuga of this supposedly the most godly episode. There is no excuse. Dropping down to 9. It really hit my head. My tinted glass is suddenly gone and now I see gigantic bubble. |

This is supposed to KO Saber with her idealism, but that was not described properly. -The reason for Assasin coming - CUT -Rider and Gilgamesh teaming up - CUT -Gilgamesh accepting Rider and saying he is going to kill him - CUT -Proper reason for Rider trying to meet Saber - CUT Before this episode: -Most of caster part that is supposed to be in 10th episode - CUT -Foreshadowing of Rider's hidden skill - ALL CUT |

Without comparing to the novel it was still a good episode, the only real flaw being the stupid drawing at certain points, mostly in the beginning of the episode. No idea what happened there. |

| I was a bit annoyed with the cuts in this episode too but I'm still holding high hopes for the BD release. Still, good episode and I especially liked how well Ionian Hetaroi was animated! 4/5 |

| Nice, philosophical episode. Saber really got owned by Rider, here. I think Rider's response is a pretty interesting way to take a second evaluation at all of the kings in history that we normally considered to be tyrants. Misunderstood by most, and that feeling of being naive forever gone when the kings realize they have to be more realistic. The Assassins showing up was pretty cool too. When they spilled Rider's wine onto his favorite shirt, I was practically chanting at the screen for Rider to kill all those bastards. Looks like all of the Assassins got pwned, big time. |
