| Aha. Looks like my memory is really foggy about everything prior to Killua introduction. Great, that will make the re-watch even more enjoyable. Nice episode, the first quiz was pretty neat. The fast pacing is cool, I really like it. |

| I like this episode, much better than the first. I like their take on tricks, and that there was a bit more to it in depth, like it doesn't just end there, it keeps with me. Silence. Pretty cool. The second half did a solid job establishing some character traits. |

| Ahh man, now this is where the series really starts to show its worth. So nostalgic for me, its been so many years since ive watch or read this. Still a bit slower then the manga, but it was handled pretty well. Pretty much everything that the couple explained at the end of the episode is what i wanted to say. Thats another thing that togashi is just a genius at, being able to really dissect all of the details from the episode and explain it thoroughly in such a manner that it doesn't feel that its detached from the over all story or is used as a plot device to go into long explanations. (IE naruto, bleach) I also like how the narrator tells things from a personal point of view. In any case, gons ability of perception is exceptional for someone who is just starting out in the hunter exams. The first test was quite interesting, gon thinks kind of outside of the box, like what if this scenario took place and its very true if your stuck in a situation, the answer bout saving both of them might not be the correct one in all cases and gons ability to see this already shows that he has high observational skills. This was a pretty good episode, though a bit slow, was still entertaining, it still hit all the right merits. Now the true exam begins! |

| I'm enjoying this OP... but the ED is awful. >.< Lol@ Leorio wanting to take the bus. It might seem normal to take it, admittedly, yet I get the feeling he'll be the butt of many future jokes. I would have failed the quiz if I was asked the first question. It feels like I'm being taunted. Kurapika is officially the smart one. Gon's physical strength and observation is acknowledged as super-human. Given the tone of things so far, I'm glad that's so. I'm also glad he wasn't still trying to think of an answer to the quiz because he's clueless. Given that pleasant surprise coupled with the apparent genre-savvy moment when jumping off the ship last episode, and I think we may actually have a sensible protagonist for once. Whoopee. :) This is a world in which monster-people exist. Interesting. I'm liking the pacing. I hope it stays solid in the long run. Good episode overall. |

| This episode was better imo. I liked the test and quite honestly, I am starting to like Gon and Kurapika. Gon is a surprise, he thinks deeply and is very mature for his age. He beats so many shounene protagonists easily in terms of personality, awesome. 7/10 |

| Gon has turned out to be quite a character. He's very observant and introspective, traits I'd have expected to see in Kuripika only. I was expecting Gon to be the hot blooded, screaming, overreacting Eren we've seen in AOT. Pleasantly surprised to say the least. Another enjoyable episode and off to #3! |

| I got kind of pissed off with Leorio this episode. Guy is kind of a moron, he knows its a test, who acts like that while taking a stupid quiz? But I guess he kind of redeemed himself near the end. Anyway, I like this episode more than the first one, really inventive test. |

| probably the reason why its so rushed is that the HXH veterans already know what's going to happen, and the noobs most likely won't mind the pace. M/H has got to snag the audience, even more so than the '99 version. if they ever expected the veterans to understand the pace, they were certainly wrong with this croud. i mean, there are some questions that left me here, but i'm the type to keep it to myself and wait for the answers to come out. this wasn't the case with other ane i've seen, but this totally applies with this. to me the veterans seem like the '99 is untouchable and this is just acceptable. it all sounds more like personal grudges than criticism. ------- i admit i was a bit worried when the exam began, because the very word made me think "long arc". but i've seen the original and even that's not as long ad i thought, and with the new pace this is going, this'll be over and done in no time. |

| It's fun so far, obviously nothing major happening yet but I've been told to wait till around episode 9-10 so I'm sure it'll pick up. I already like the humor. It's certainly a good thing when such a long show is fun even during non-action parts. |

| What a blast this show is. I realised most of the earlier comments are overwhelmingly negative. However, before I decided to watch this show, most of the commentators (different websites) said this was a more enjoyable series, with better pacing... In any case, with the length of this show and the fact that both are relatively faithful to the source (unlike fma where the plot changed because the series caught up to the manga), I'd probably be happy to just watch this one. |
