| Mangaka Takenashi Eri updated her official website and announced that the coast area of Shichigahama, the model town of Kannagi, was completely destroyed by the 10 meter high tsunami caused by the earthquake hit Japan on March 11th. 45 people in the town were killed and 38 have been missing. | Sad to see so much destruction... I saw Kannagi years ago and today I found out that there was a special episode so I watched it and it featured a huge flood in the middle of town. And then I read about this. Talk about weird timing. |

| The town was literally wiped off the face of the earth... Recovery from that is not so much salvage and repair as it is practically building a whole new town altogether. Anyone brave and ambitious enough to resettle the area has my respect. |
