| It wouldn't be world peace then would it. Make it a condition that actually makes sense. It's world peace BUT everyone has to be free which means taking a risk and a chance with people that they want the same thing. That hinges on peoples ability to resolve conflict peacefuly with force of anykind or violence of anykind. Furthermore in a world where peace is not possible because of its conflicting nature the idea is lost the most you can hope to have to tolerant and calm society that people work together for making all poverty war and famine history and giving everyone and equal standard of life, i.e food, shelter and running water without the fear of every losing these things. Or a more and even more realistic and actual world event, that takes place daily you have to have sex with everybody willing when ever they ask whether you love them or not which people like prostitutes do. but on topic what would be the punishment for being an Otaku, I am guessing death maybe life imprisonment beatings maybe, whatever your sick mind can cook up no doubt to enforce you so called peace on the world. I think or at least I hope I have made my position clear. | You know what? I'll go ahead and humor this thread, because it's boring as hell with everyone just stating that they don't fit the discription of "otaku". When you say "rebel", do you mean actively fighting the system, or just disobeying rules? I wouldn't be motivated enough to go overthrowing governments and putting out hits on officials for Japanese pen & ink, but if supporting piracy and distributing anime in secret qualifies as "rebelling", I could find myself doing that in that kind of scenario. |

| This sounds like Socialism. I wouldn't agree to it. I grew up in a country where the prospect of a socialistic government is abominal and a democratic approach is the underlining truth. Socialism can work for a short while, about a generation where the people built the government, but once the next generation blossoms things begin to become tricky. Sure, Socialism can still exist, but the country would never possess any stasis. China's a great example, and the country is riddled with demographic issues. Anyways, like others have pointed out, this wouldn't be world peace. Rather, it would be an image fitted to the "dictators". Yes, there would have to be a dictator in order to maintain this "restriction", whether it be controlled by one person or a group of people. You cannot have freedom with restrictions, it's just contradictory. |

The word " world peace " here is a bit contradiction.
