| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Clearly the greatest Fate anime ever made. The fact that there were no lines for Jeanne and that there was no JAlter at all is a crime. Sounds like this will be "2 seasons" with 2 parts each, so 4 episodes. The one we saw for New Year is the first part of season 1. We'll have to wait till June for the rest of S1 and August for S2. Padoru/10 |

| RIP Chu Chulain XD, there were a few too many of them. Gudako obsessing over Red Hare was hilarious. That perv Orion got justice, good job Fou. Artemis being yandere was cute. In the end Nero and Artoria's NP destroyed it all and XD that Gawain scene was funny. Great episode overall and gimme some of the sq shown in ED. |

| for 13 minutes, that was fucking brilliant. Damn, ngl i got a lot of Nostalgia remembering my first watch of the original carnival phantasm, art style hasn't changed that much, but honestly it makes it more iconic. Happy they kept the original OP, even if it was at the end, still an absolute amazing song to listen to. As someone who plays, probably an unhealthy amount of FGO and sunk a little to much money into merch, this was a gold mine. I loved how in this one episode alone, they showed quite a few different servants, fully animated, even those with their different variety's (i'm looking at you Blue lancer trio, also that iconic Lancer died meme made me smirk) God, i'm so happy though that Carmilla and Meltryllis got screen time + voice lines, plus were in there summer varieties, 2021 looking like a good time to be alive after all. Like how Gudako is the MC for this one, don't get me wrong i also like the counterpart male mc, but i feel like for a meme anime like this, Gudako would be the most appropriate choice. Huh, honestly i rate that LvL 100 Lu bu, mad respect as well. Little things like the loading screens or going into the pause menu to change NP speed, gave me a few chuckles. Hope there will be more episodes in the future, i love this already a lot. also p.s anyone pulling on the New Years 2021 pickup summon banner, good luck! Jalter plz come home ;-; |

| I am kinda sad that Tomoko isn't voicing Ritsuka. Otherwise no complaints mostly. Just waiting for the 1st episode to air officially though.(Though I watched pre aired version) Looks like Mash has very poor luck though, with her master obsessing over 3* Red hare. Lot of funny moments, but the Achilles vs Atalante race was the one that made the cake. Glad Nero gets the spotlight in this episode. Hope she appears in more episodes. And LOL DaVinci  Looks like cu chullain dying is still going to be a tradition |

I know its just the first ep(?) but i mean, they are already doing overused jokes that i already read somewhere multiple times. But i bet the VAs had an absolute blast doing this. No boobtoria/10 |

| I like the original Carnival Phantasm a lot better (doesnt help that I hated the Babylonia anime that aired a while ago), but this new Carnival anime was still good and had some nice throwback jokes to the original Carnival that's for sure. It was chaotic but fun, and I loved how Lerche retained the artstyle of the original Carnival Phantasm from 10 years ago, like it looks the exact same like it was created in 2011 and I am cool with all of that. Hell, they even went with the remix of the original OP song at the end lmao. They really tried to make this version of Carnival feel nearly the exact same in all aspects to the original Carnival. |

| Decent enough. Lerche's animation for this edition of Carnival is quite commendable, as they clearly did as much as they can to recreate the fun chaotic atmosphere. However, the punchlines don't really hit much like the OG version at all. I hope this isn't something like a peak for the show only to wear out in the rest of the episodes. Sucks that most of the jokes feel copy-pasted, which doesn't help. Kinda like how post s4 Gintama felt as well. |

| 2011: Lancer ga shinda! 2021: Cu Chulainn ga shinda! KONO HITO DE NASHI! Glad to see they keep the same joke around lol. Cu's death aside, this is pretty much a referback to the first episode of Carnival Phantasm but with FGO characters instead lol. |

| Glad they haven't lost their touch yet. I was very much entertained through and through. One of Type-Moon's biggest strengths to me has always been how they're so painfully self-aware of their characters and world. This is what made the original Carnival Phantasm so great in the first place cause they know exactly how to make fun of their characters. With the Tsukihime remake coming, I have a feeling we're gonna enter a Type-Moon renaissance and get a sequel to the original Carnival Phantasm and I absolutely can't wait for it. Anyway, this was great. Sad it's just four episodes and it's ending the next DVD release but whatever. It's something I guess so I'll take it. |
