| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah I think Shoutarou got to know a bit more of Sakurako than I had thought in this just finale alone. For the case closing, it ...felt kinda rushed. The finale felt like it also had a less thrilling mood compared to a few of the other episodes. Sakurako's got her mind in motion to connect pieces together. I still always find Sakurako's expression when she discovers bones remains to be amusing.  Felt kinda like fate with the final few scenes of the episode like with the memory symbolism and Sakurako's search for the truth. Overall, 7/10. Somewhat of a refreshing show but nothing too spectacular. |

| 5/10 just for the animation. Wasn't as dragged out as the Perfect Insider but the cases were really lame. Whole thing felt like a parody. |

| Pros for the Anatomy, Forensic Element whatever they called it (but just a lil' bit) and Cons for the Story (almost for all of the entire Series). But at least it's not that bad so I have to drop it, though. :P |

| It was unique how Shoutarou took on the feminine role, and Sakurako the masculine role. Good series overall despite some of the melodrama. 6/10 or 7/10 |

| Well, door is open for a second season. Not the best final, but it was okay. Close 7/10, the first 3 episodes were very promising, but it went downhill after that. |
| Pretty emotionally moving final episode. I figured we might get the origin of Shoutarou meeting Sakurako. Poor boy, no matter how he denies it he clearly wants in her pants...that's not happening. :D But is a second season? The show seems to think it is, but I have my doubts. Beautiful episode to look at. Most realistic looking icy/snowy/slushy sidewalks I've ever seen in an anime, and yes I noticed that of all things. :D Anyway Shoutarou's speech and the look back at the dead of this season were both pretty moving as said. Even though they want that season 2 there was still enough finality to work as a finale. Series as a whole was nice. Sakurako-san's no Sherlock Holmes, or Conan Edogawa, but she's got the best ass of all the detectives! :D I'll watch that second season if it comes. 7/10 |
| Looks like an open ending to me. Personally i thought this was the best anime this season i really liked the characters even tho both Sakurako and Tatewaki had their flaws. I am still hopping for Tatewaki x Kougami development so who knows maybe we get a second season with such a development. I also liked the the cases and the thoughts behind them this anime was pretty deep at some points which was nice to see. |

| A very poor decision to wait until the finale to show how Sakurako and Shoutarou met, in my opinion. I would have preferred for that to be shown in an earlier episode, and then finish the Sphenoider case in the finale. We also didn't really learn much about Sakurako's past and her younger brother's death either, which is a disappointment. It looks like they're teasing at a possibility for a second season, but for some reason I don't really see that happening. Besides the visuals, I didn't really care for anything in this anime, 4/10. |

| Bit weird to basically do a prequel episode as the finale but okay... Very disappointing series from a mystery perspective, but at least the production was pretty solid 6/10 I guess |

| She finally called him by his name :') Gotta say that it was nice seeing how those two met as well as seeing Shoutaro come up with the confidence to make things right between them in the end Still this episode reminded me of why I was so interested in this series in the first place and that's because I thought that our two MC's were dating, so seeing this kind of hurt me a little TwT Even though I still wish that they got together as a couple, the series overall was enjoyable and the last few episodes were very well done and emotional 7/10 for me |

| Strange episode to finish on, I think it would have been better to place how they met earlier on in the series. This series was a real mixed bag. It has some really great episodes and some desperately dull ones (like the grandparents and festival episodes). It was more SOL that Mystery, not sure if I would want or watch a season two despite Sakurako being an interesting character. 6/10 |
| I would've loved to have an episode about the "other" Shoutarou instead of an episode about how they met. I really.. couldn't care. The only thing important about that history was the last sentence (the one Sakurako said that made Shoutarou run back). Average. If they would ever make a second season they should work out more characters. 5/10 |

| Compared to the other shows this season I thought it was a pretty solid show. Probably my favorite this season, over One Punch Man imo. It felt rushed at times and the pacing was weird, but I don't think that was necessarily a bad thing. The after credit scene hints towards a season two. Which I would watch for sure. Series overall: I feel a upper middle eight to a low 9. |

| Hmmm.....i confused with the ending though...well, it was a good one, but i still got confused. what will happen to hanabusa ? Overall, i like this anime. enjoyable 9/10 8/10 or maybe 8.5/10. it was a good show and enjoyable show but somehow i felt like meh..... the animation was great though. is it getting a second season or just this is it? | Nice anime with nice character design and nice soundtracks. Sadly Sakurako-san was the only character who was "special", while the other characters weren't really outstanding at all. The ending was fine - I hope that a sequel will come in the future. |

| It was an okay anime. Not excellent but not horrible. "Average" being the right term. Although they didn't close the Sphenoider case, the take on the ending was not so bad. It made me cringe a bit though. I really enjoyed Sakurako, as a character, because she shares my enthusiasm about bones, the dead, and the living lol. Since I study anatomy and cell bio, I highly enjoyed the a&p/forensics they incorporated in the anime. I'm still iffy about the lethe diana. I can't find any scientific journals on these species of butterflies no matter how much I look but I'll keep searching anyways. I doubt I'd find anything. It's probably limited to East Asia where they're most likely to be found. My brain is itching for this knowledge lol. The rest of the characters weren't as interesting. The ending bit though. I hope we get some sort of extra or OVA to solve his case~ Or something about the other Shoutarou.. I don't know. There were questions left unanswered and it sucks that we'll never get to find out. |

| I'm surprised nobody talked about the ending, in which Hanabusa welcomes us, the audience, into the abyss. Other than being a fourth-wall breaker, it provides a potential premise for the second season. However, I do think that the first season should have tied up the loose ends of the Hanabusa case at least. The mystery of Sakurako's brother can wait. I am interested on the abyss itself. It was never explained, just a few phrases tossed around about it. |

| Not what I expected for a season finale, but better. The atmosphere hit 10/10 again this episodes, which it hadn't for almost the entire second half of the season I think. I'm actually still somewhat sad though, that they seem to have completely gotten rid of the much hated "mystery sequence". Also, is it just me, or is Shoutarou frequenting the same totally-unsuited-for-kids-his-age café as Oreki Houtarou? The proprietor seems to only have moved around the furniture a bit. | This really quickly became old and repetitive. Not bad, per se, just average. I actually liked that they kept the conclusion drawn out, although it needs another season if it's going to fully explore the conflict. If they had wrapped up the case with the Hanabusa guy at the end of this season, it would have been very rushed and there wouldn't have been enough time to build up the villain as a threat or explore him, considering we know next to nothing about his motivations. Still doesn't excuse Sakurako from being a giant Mary Sue, though. How many times did she solve cases with factors well out of her field of expertise? I thought being antisocial would make her bad at predicting how people would act, not better at it, and I can't be the only one who groaned whenever she would make a guess and have it turn out to be 100% right. |
