| Great OVA series. Seriously. Amazing plot and characterization. Sci-fi truly is the best. Also, outstanding animation and music, especially for it's year it was made in. 8/10 Only downsides were: - Alice/Mokuren was too oblivious and annoying - Not enough backstory - Unfulfilling; A lot of important parts were left out - Random side characters introduced without much background Idk if it was just me but there were serious homo vibes off Haru and Tamura. I have nothing against that but it was a bit of a mood-breaker. |
| I thought I could have skipped what I didn't read in the manga, but that's not the case as I suspected after watching ep 5. I really wished they made the anime longer, I liked most of the seiyuu's performance. Especially Rin's one of course. I'm not going to complain why Rin is so stubborn with hurting innocent people (going as far as killing them) because the anime wanted to stay faithful but chose not to adapt the manga completely.... :( |
| I can't take something seriously that just randomly throws in a giant cat with sunglasses. Codes for the moon base... nah, who cares... I nearly dropped this several times. If it wasn't short I never would have bothered to finish it. 3/10 |

| I'm convinced this series only has a high score on MAL because people are excited to have watched something so 'unknown.' It doesn't matter how good the manga it is based upon it is, a bad anime is a bad anime. I despised this show and never would have watched it if not for picking the DVD copy up for $4. Ugh. |

| The flashback stuff was good, but such a terrible conclusion/cutoff point since nothing got resolved. Should've had 1 more episode to wrap things up. But this was one of the craziest series I've ever seen. Aliens, reincarnation, romance (including a touch of BL), psychic powers, psychopathic children - just utterly fascinating! 8.5/10 edit: I have not read the manga but am definitely going to |
