But holy crap. That reveal that the group was actually zombies and that there's another mutant. I honestly didn't see that coming.

I'm not liking that alien thing. Let's see how it goes... It took me by surprise the "we are zombies" part too. He was concious about that. So sad.

that's smart of the author..
I mistake to think they are a normal people (at the first)..
and then it be suspicious when they start talk with different language to each other, talk about the queen.

if each hive has a queen, then who's the queen of the hive in Tokyo?

I really enjoy this manga, but the introduction of aliens has me a bit worried for its future development. This story is at its best when they are focusing on the characters.

Nah, I think some development of the circumstances is necesary for a proper ending

And the ambientation is just as good as the character-focused parts

I was afraid of losing interest in I Am a Hero, especially with how long the scans were taking, but damn what a volume. Minds were blown. I think Oda got killed off a bit too fast though.

Holy shit that was one hectic volume. Damn how they made them seem human then shows that they were actually zombies but hallucinating was really unexpected, same goes for Oda getting bitten. This manga continues to stay extremely interesting and exciting with amazing art. Also the mutants are a really cool edition, so nice to see another. Hope to learn a bit more about them.

Some really interesting revelations this volume, especially that the zombies are essentially a hive-mind. That man spoke as if the whole business with the aliens was a hypothesis earlier, but now it seems to be an actuality. No idea where the series is headed, but I love it.

I hope it doesn't turn into an alien invasion, I like where it's going so far.
Hah, humanity. Not much left of that.

Is it possible that the Kurusu had to be virgin? The common thing I saw in kurusus till this issue is vergin since Hiromi isn't shutin like the other.( naked emperror might isn't shut in either cause he said he work at meat store when the incident happen.

You could be correct, I just read the whole thing over the past two days. The only thing is, what about children? Why don't they turn into mutants? Perhaps there's an age limit too... perhaps after puberty but then there should still be many many more mutants, there has to be some other factor.

I do get the feeling this may go the way of Gantz, I mean I love alien invasions as a concept and the author has made it fit well I just hope the manga as a whole doesn't go down hill because of it.

I'm not sure how I feel about the alien thing, yet. I think it would be strange for the author to set all that up for it to be a fake out, so my guess is that it really is where the manga is going. Everything else up to this point has been done very well though, so I'm not worried about it declining or getting too silly.

I started getting disappointed with the manga since the whole 'Kurusu' thing.
As a big fan of zombie survival, I can't stand when they use the 'virus' to give people superpowers, for me, it should be one thing only, and focusing on the survival of characters against this one thing, as well as discovering it origins. I can accept and respect if the author thought of something else for the story, not as only survival amidst only zombies, but it would disappoint me even more to see aliens.
The amazing art style astonished me for sure, and the first chapters were crazy awesome, but overall I feel like this is turning into some kind of resident evil zombie story. And I can't stand it.

I hope that becoming a mutant doesn't end up tied to virginity, because it'd be monumentally stupid. It's not like humans who are no longer virgins are anatomically different except for maybe the hymen being affected (and that doesn't even require having sex to "tear"). And virginity is a human concept anyway, what value or significance would it have to aliens? There's so many different ways to define virginity as well, all social.

Now I wonder whether those concourses of zombies each has their own queen, or whether they'll eventually merge into a single hive with only one queen.
