Well, I hope this will convince them that TG is a real money-grabber and doing a great re-make of it will assure them great profits. Wait, am I missing something here? How can it reach that numbers? The DVD sales for it is 1,784, meaning that the BD sales should be 2,000+ yet how come it didn't rank at all? On a side note, nice to see Gekkan and Barakamon sales up there. Definitely deserve a 2nd season for both of them. :) |

Big wk2 for locodol and Hanayamata, the gods have blessed us. -Gundam G It'll between this series and F/SN as to which is going to take the top spot, I expect 20k at minimum for both of them, but they could up god knows how high(not too high, 50k+ is a bit over-optimistic.) -Amagi park The art box that is included in the amazon version will mean that this series will be overestimated, I just don't know by much. It seems be competing for 3rd place going by what series are up at the moment. -Cross ange 2-cour, so we'll need to a long while to know what it sales numbers will end up like. I expect it to be competing with Amagi park for 3rd place. For now... It really is way to early to tell, so I need to remind everybody that this is just based on how the series ranked today, and nothing else. This is barely above placing bets. -Madan no Ou to Vanadis & Sora no Method Both of those have semi-decent ranks, but they really need to start going up to get any good sales. Sora no Method is an orginal anime so we'll need to see how the other episodes affect the ranking(just look at what happend to GuP, but that was a rare case). -Log horizon S2 NKH-E show, who cares about sales? It'll probably end having a standard sequal drop from S1. Ranked between 500# and 1000#, -Chaika S2 -7 deadly sins Really need to start improving, but we already know chaika S2 will sell badly. Ranked below 1000# -Gugure! Kokkuri-san(sales split between BD and DVD) -Denki-gai no Honya-san -Ookami shoujo -Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete Very high chance of selling badly. Read more at http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1283659&show=0#5ZYDYpGPLRsmOS0x.99 I just want to point out that the data for space dandy is already up, it came out last week. Amagi Brilliant Park is overhyped, the anime is watchable and isn't terrible unlike other overhyped anime like SAO but not that great at all. Cross Ange is a bit generic, but it will become pretty good very fast, however it may also be overhyped as well. Kokkuri-san needs a lot more preorders. I really want to see the preorder rankings for Girlfriend (Kari) since it aims to please everyone. |

If you're concerned about financial trouble, I think it does matter if they spent money on production themselves. If you invested more money, you probably make more money in profit off of it (or lose more money if it fails). I don't know how much it matters, but to suggest that it wouldn't matter seems incorrect. As for "outside sources", you are referring to production committees right? Do you have any evidence that P.A. Works is falling out of favor? I'm not sure any of us really knows for sure how production committees think... rederoin said: Its not possible to know whether a show achieved its intended goal/profits, for us. At some point it's probably just better to admit that we honestly don't know things for sure. We can speculate, but yeah, unless one of us is on a production committee... |
