Without being biased my favorite has to be Italia, how fucking badass is Balotelli?

Good stuff. I really like the Netherlands and the Swiss posters.

Some of them felt like it could have been a Jojo cover lol.

World Cup is always a highlight for me. I try to catch every single match, succeeded in 2010 somehow doing that. This year not as likely but that's life.

I'm betting on Argentina to win, it's in their climate, they have great players, and look to have a competent manager. Can't look past Spain or Germany either. Brazil might make a deep run and they have a great squad for 45 minutes I just worry about them going a full 90 minutes against much deeper sides.

Me too! However, I won't be able to watch the Japan games because they begin so late T_T. If I remember correctly, their game against Côte d'Ivoire will begin at 3 am for me!

I'm having a hard time trying to understand how some people think that Holland or the USA are going to win the cup. I really don't see that happening.

Who the fuck is saying USA is going to win?

Do you think it's me?

No.

I'm a USA Soccer fan, and I'll be rooting my ass off, but I'm a realistic person, I KNOW a lot about sports, I understand it very well, and I KNOW that our chances are basically 0%

But that doesn't mean I don't get to root and hope that MAYBE the impossible CAN be possible....but I don't hear ANYONE saying USA is going to win the WC.

Setimo said:

Bullshit....NO ONE is saying USA is going to win.

And you know what, as much as I like SOCCER/Football.....I can't stand people who make fun of American Football just because we (Americans, Canadians, Australians, and many other English and non-English speaking countries) call it "Soccer".

We're not offending the sport by calling it Soccer, that's just the word we use.

??? <- first line
I don't think Holland is bad, that's what I said.
I rarely call American-Football handegg though, regardless, I never saw someone get worked up about it.
I'm not a fan of neither football nor american-football (HANDEGG) so I might be wrong on my post.

I don't know if I will watch any match.
I will probably watch the final if Germany is there, but I would probably get bored at half time.
I lost interest in watching football.
Playing FIFA alone is more fun.

Brazil is going to win the cup. They have a great team and play at home. It's their time. I guess we'll also see an underdog like Belgium in the semi-final. I'm looking forward to it!

Yeah, I only started watching football again this March, before I haven't watched any game in an eternity. I'm lucky, though, to be back and I'm still interested and looking forward to the World Cup like never before.

Group B looks interesting. If Mexico comes 2nd in their group and Chile first then the infamous 5th gamr for Mexico will be met. Not sure if RVP will play the world cup but if he doesn't then Chile could come 1st in their group

Same for me. I've waited so long for this.. So excited.

I am banking on Spain winning again, but if not I am going for Portugal. Argentina is another I will be watching closely. Wouldn't mind if any of those 3 won.

Anyway, I just can't wait to see my Ronaldo. <3

What the saddest part about The World Cup is that there are so much injuries. We have to miss Reus & Ribery for example. Even Ronaldo and Messi aren't well.

My opinion about the strongest: Spain or Brazil.
Spain has a strong squad! They have Ramos, Casillas, Costa, Torres and much more. But we don't have to forget that Brazil plays at their home. So they already have a one step more. Germany and Portugal are also favorites. But remember that Portugal didn't had the chance at all without Ronaldo. This guy is my favorite and now he is not well enough to play the first match, has Portugal a risk. Germany is now stronger than Portugal in my eyes with Lahm, Gotze, Ozil & Podolski... And countries like England also has strong players, but they are not one of the biggest favorites to say it like this way :)

I'm really about so many injuries before the World Cup and dissapointed that Turkey doesn't play. But to be honest, they wouldn't have a chance to get in the next rounds...

Excuse me for my English by the way!

Clearly Australia is winning this one. Just look at the group they're in. It's going to be a cakewalk all the way to the final.

This is rugby we're talking about, right?

I believe that Argentina could actually win it

People think they have a shitty defense well i can assure you they haven't

Brazil is a big contender too coz you know they are playing in their home

Spain i don't know but i'm sure they aren't gonna win it and Germany have bad luck like always

Easily? Yeah right, with a dolphin as their biggest star. No matter how you look at it, their team is shitty (except for the defence, of course). Sure they will have plenty of support and the conditions are in their favour but the same can be said for all the SA teams.

I was born in England and I remember watching them as a boy, and being let down every time, I'm still cheering for them, but I'm not going to expect too much to be honest.

I think Argentina, Brazil, Germany, or Spain are likely to win.

Oh, and no Zlatan = not a proper world cup.

Even if Brazil comes first in their group they will play the 2nd place Group B team which could be Spain/Holland/Chile. Brazil going aganst Spain in a Round of 16 match is a really early WC final match up.

Who will suffer more, Costa Rica or Australia?

That's true... but sadly this is the World Cup after all, you either meet strong teams sooner or later.

I'm thinking Costa Rica would xD

Belgium, Portugal, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, England (yes them getting to the sf would be a very very big surprise). Take your picks ladies and gentlemen.
