A shame about the Nourin v2 drop. I just updated the spring sales estimates on my site. All of this is based on the current trends on Amazon. Things can still change. Love Live! has a rather big estimated event ticket drop(50%+), but it that should not stop it from becoming the top seller of Spring. No stalker data for JoJo P3 yet, but I think we can assume it'll reach 15k+ at worst, and maybe even 25k if part 3 really is as popular in Japan, as they say. Haikyuu!! has a good chance at 10k+, if it has the same storefront affect as KnB, 20k+/- for v1 and v2? and then it'll drop down a lot with v3? But who knows by how much? The estimated drop, just like Love Live is rather big(50%+). I mean sure, it has 2 volumes with event tickets, but it also has 9 volumes in total. Mushishi S2 has a decent chance at getting 10k, if you include w2+ and a slight underestimation or it getting a small sales boost. It has no event ticket, so I don't think we'll see a big drop. And that does for series that I think have a decent chance at reaching 10k or more. Mahouka and Sidonia are doing good, but we are talking about a 6-8k~ average, nothing huge. But still good. Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? and Date A live II are also doing rather good, just as good as the previous 2. 4-6k~ average, maybe? I'm ofcourse hoping for a higher average for Gochiusa. Ping Pong The Animation, Kenzen Robo Daimidaler, Mekaku City Actors, Isshuukan Friends, No Game No Life and Black bullet are doing decent(2k-4k~??). But these kind of sales are nothing special. Kamigami no Asobi has a big estimated v2 drop of more than 85%, so make sure to remember that when v1 comes out. Aside from(not on Amazon stalker yet), Mahou Shoujo Taisen Selector Infected WIXOSS Kiniro no Corda Blue♪Sky Baby steps Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii All of the series that I did not mention, excluding shorts, are performing horrible on Amazon. julyan04 said: I can't believe SAO EE and Nourin is still selling up to this point... 0.o Nourin v2 just came out, whats so strange about it? |

Hmmmm I wonder if she (Mao) has a natural Kansai accent or if she's just good at it. And yeah Mamiko is quite prolific. She has a kind of sing song quality to her voice (not sure how else to describe it) that I've liked. |

I don't usually get to say many positive things in these threads, but it's really nice to see Knights of Sidonia doing well in preorders. To me it exemplifies what the sci-fi/mecha genre really should be while (M3 and Captain Earth do not so far) and what it needs to continue trying to get back to and hopefully along with Unicorn can continue to help send the message by doing well. |

As for Haikyuu I do believe it'll probably reach 10k as it's a sports shonen, which is popular. Now for Mahouka I do believe it'll reach 10k+ since it's really early out of like 26 episodes. And since the anime has been a introduction with no real action yet. Which I believe when it starts showing off its action and plot since it's starting to open up sales will increase. Since the adaption is done by MadHouse battle scenes will look great but I do hope they don't mess up. Just my thoughts. |

I had some time to waste, so I put a number as to what KlK v5 would sell if it was underestimated as much as v4 was. So it migth hit a 10k first week with v5, but remember it also had a w0, as one retailer shipped a bunch of copies early last week. I have no idea what retailer did it though, so I have no idea how many copies where sold last week. |

Neowing is my bet for the early release. They were closed May 3-6 so them shipping out on the 2nd makes sense. They often ship stuff earlier than prerelease day but rarely enough to show up but that was a dead week. They are a small shop compared to Amazon. Sidonia getting 10K? Definitely has a shot. It is hot hot hot right now. |

Aren't most of the spring v1s releasing in mid to late June or later? Why is Sidonia set for May? |

It will have had a lot of episodes out by then. Certainly most minds are made up by this point aside from GaruPan type stories and even that one was on the up after episode three. A Nagi Asu is very rare. |

A Nagi Asu is very rare. Perhaps, but not as many episodes as other series will have out by the time their release date comes around right? I guess I just don't get why you would do that. If a show started later wouldn't you expect its first volume to be released later too? What's the advantage? |

Get them to buy your series instead of others and lock it in. |

Look at past results and you know that almost all releases sell the majority of discs in the first week they go on sale, most on prerelease and release day. Again I remind you that NagiAsu cases are very rare. hpulley said: Get them to buy your series instead of others and lock it in. Ehhhhhh I'm skeptical of that. So people are not going to wait for July to buy Sidonia. Most will buy it May 27-30. The vast majority will have preordered it beforehand but some may pick it up on a whim that weekend. Now, that said, aside from the small list of shows that are not yet solicited, you can pre-order most other shows already. So it may not bump other shows out, people likely have put their other orders in by now as well. But they do need to make up their mind sooner for Sidonia. |

@hpulley So to confirm, you do think there is an advantage to Sidonia releasing on May 28 instead of late June or early July? And if that is the case why are almost all of the other shows releasing later? Shouldn't they want to release earlier too? Or are they just not able to finish their first volumes fast enough to release earlier? |

Hahalollawl said: I cannot 'confirm' anything. It is hard to say if a later release would allow more people to buy it or fewer. But I think having it too early would be bad and too late is also detrimental. You want people to have seen enough of the show to know they want to buy it, but not so much additional time that they might have decided to buy other shows instead. @hpulley So to confirm, you do think there is an advantage to Sidonia releasing on May 28 instead of late June or early July? As for why it is early, Sidonia being mostly or all CG I think likely makes the finished product easier to make. Hand fix ups take longer. |
