| Saw the Minami = lantern thing coming a while before we reached that part. But man, Arima is just too cool. Like how he injured Oomori was insane. That was cool. Poor Minami, in the end, the conflict remains the same. If only these two races could coexist, but as they can't, ghouls must die (because if humans perished, ghouls can't exist as well) |

| Really sad with Uruka, but that's just how TG'd always been. Need some more explanations here and there, but that's just won't suffice into a single OVA. All in all I quite enjoyed this even more than the main series bc this had all TG could offer like action, gore, and twists in just one eps so 8/10 |

| I found this OVA to be so much more enjoyable than the other 2 seasons of Tokyo Ghoul. I loved seeing the younger versions of Arima and Fuwa. Arima was a complete badass with his weapons, dual wielding too towards the end. I had a suspicion Minami was a ghoul and she turned out to be the Lantern after all. Saori Hayami voicing a ghoul though, that's hot! I honestly wish this was an actual TV anime or at least got so more OVAs. Overall, I really liked it and wish the main Tokyo Ghoul anime could be like this. 8/10 |

| Well...pierrot managed to fuck up this adaptation too. But since they couldn't handle 2 seasons of Tokyo ghoul, not being able to handle another 30 minutes doesn't surprise me. Did they change anything that ultimately impacted the story? No. They did get the generalization of it right. But they did leave out important plot details that made it look like there were plot holes; like why Minami was mistakenly attacked by another ghoul. I'd find it hard to believe that anybody who didn't read the manga didn't know Minami was a ghoul the instant she showed up. - tried to make her mysterious when she got her hair cut - knew way too much info about ghouls - was interested in Arima but never elaborated - lantern' voice was altered with the mask on, not just muffled - has Fura follow a ghoul when Arima isn't there - didn't drink anything when Fura gave her a can Fura and Arima giving each other the cold yet respectable bro stare, and Fura marrying Aki was corny as fuck, but whatevs. They made it enjoyably corny. Hearing Hayami Saori voicing a villainous ghoul was cool though. She did a good job with that. 3/10. Much much better than both TV seasons that's for sure. |

| Way better than the anime. I knew the girl was a ghoul, the fact that Latern wear a full mask just make it possible for it to be anyone but just anyone would be boring, it have to be someone you already know for the reveal to be shocking, well not to me. |

| I know Castilian too and their subs are not bad but I prefer the English ones because I feel more comfortable with them. Also, Arima is so OP even as a high school student. He seems like a bit of a narcissist too. And even if the ghoul didn't recognized that the girl was a ghoul too, ghouls sometimes cannibalize so it is not that strange him attempting to eat her. You remember what happened to Nishio in the first season? Yup. |

| It's been a while since I've last watched an anime episode, 9/10 for me. The story was actually pretty good (I already knew it since I had read the manga anyways). Well, it's TG so didn't expect something bad, TG is always over the top even if the story is badly adapted into anime, it's always a badass anime to watch. Hopefully more to come after the Pinto OVA. Gotta read the 15 chapters I haven't read yet of TG:re too, bet it's much more developed by now, probably even more interesting than before! =) Excited. |

| Not 10/10 that's for damn sure, but that is TG fanbase for your. Like the rest I found this to be way better than both seasons. This still didn't really tell a back story...at all. It just showed a snippet of the young life of Arima. There was no history given. |
| tbh I liked the manga more. While the ova was nice, it felt rushed and it feels like if I watched the ova first I would have missed a lot and have not cared for the characters. |

| I loved this OVA. I hoped it could have more ep., but oh well it were very interesting. Actually it made me want to re-watch Tokyo Ghoul. It were a good series. Anyways, back to the OVA. I loved that they didn't censored anything and I also liked that we saw the backstory of two-top leaders that fight against Ghouls. Even though I don't think there will be a season 3, I hope they can make more OVA in the future. |

| The OVA was really good, it showed some of Arima's past that we hadn't seen in the series that I was so curious about. I didn't expect Minami to be a ghoul but it makes sense now xD I think it's funny how the Tokyo Ghoul OVA's are better than the series, they should've added them to the series and it would've of made it a lot better. I'm still fangirl of Tokyo Ghoul still though xD I can't wait for the 3rd season!~~ |

| Amazing. From start to end it was better than the whole season of Root A. Something I didn't quite understand...12 years later they grew old like.... SO MUCH!!! They already have white hair and everything...like.. wtf? Japanese people manage ages very weirdly (Almost every anime is proof of this). Looking forward to Pinto. |
