This boom in third wave feminism and extreme social justice is affecting our games. If devs are going to listen to folks like Anita Sarkeesian, what else is going to take the fall? How can we prevent this from happening to other games? With incoming franchises known for having quirky features with females like Nier, Persona, And Street Fighter, should we be afraid? |

| Gamergate didn't start out because of social justice, but the corruption of journalism. I guess it's easy to mistake since Kotaku was one of the main reasons Gamergate happened. Honestly I don't see a problem with releasing this. They have a specific fanbase they'll sell the game to. It's not like they have to fear people not buying their game because of a rating. Just make it digital if a retail release is too risky. From what I hear, the game already has English, so it's not like they need to localize a lot (not like there's a lot of text to translate). And since you mention Street Fighter, they did censor Mika's butt slap. But that one is censored in all versions, not just the west. |

| This is what happens when you bring a game from a country where females are submissive to a country where some females with questionable intellect (to put it mildly) are trying to oppress everything and everyone in the media. I never liked the DoA games because I didn't like how they portray women and I found much better fighting games. But seriously, why would feminists want to ban it if the game is not made for them in the first place? SJWs infected the media, at first the social network sites, then the TV, then the politics and now 6 out of 10 videogame journalists are SJWs. They simply can't write a review without getting their politically correct idiocy in there. It doesn't matter if DoA is a good game or not, because they will only talk about how badly they handled the portrayal of women/blacks/gays. Just look at what they did to Witcher 2, for example. | Even back before people cared about vidja game tiddy, this game had a tough time stateside. Owning the game or renting it got you a lot of questionable looks. I don't see it being profitable enough to localize in general, but with sjws existing there is no real reason to even take the risk. I hate censorship, but this doesn't really have to do with that but more to do with different markets. |

Or, since this is a fighting game, perhaps people are attracted to the fact that they are the ones causing the actions that occur on screen, both of which may not be doable via a video. On the other hand, people aren't necessarily fapping while playing this and just enjoy the little bits of titillation without actually doing anything beyond that enjoyment. Why does someone have to fap every time they're given titillation? This is a spin off game that's just sexy mini-games. The actual Dead or Alive is a good fighting game with a bad image (since people just see tits).
