| Since it seems not everyone has seen the thread in Support, I'd like to notify those who haven't yet heard about the issue with images and give a bit more information on the situation. Crave pushed an update to the site on Friday which was meant to increase user protection from fake login pop-ups and gore images. Unfortunately, the update wasn't bug-proof and it has caused the code which renders images contained within [img] tags to not display correctly. If you have a page full of [img] tags, such as your profile (including comments) or a forum page, only one [img] tag on the page will render – and it may not be the image contained within the tags that displays, but perhaps another [img] path also on the same page. This creates the amusing situation of signatures seemingly swapping users. All images posted within [img] tags will display correctly again once the bug is fixed, including new posts. So you don't need to wipe your profile or remove your signatures, or anything. Hopefully this will be fixed in short order. I know we've had a lot of trouble with [img] in the past year, but please be patient and give them a few working days before assuming the worst. Once it is fixed, this should help improve everyone's experience on the website. On a side note, the crons which update statistics on the site, such as profile stats and anime pages, also stopped running sometime in the last 24 hours. I've notified Xinil and they should be back up in the next day or two. Resolved. Thank you for your patience. |

| You guys should check out a temporary "fix/solution.. whatever you want to call it" in the meantime then: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1341209 Includes: An add-on that lets you see pics when you hover over img links since people rely on posting links when [img] is gone A script that renders [img] bbcode to work. Not guaranteed to work with everyone, it's working for me in chrome and it's my first time using a script in general. Edit: Clarified my wording better seeing as people are misunderstanding. |
