| I must be insane. Somehow it still surprises me that gimmicky shows like this can get so much attention, granted it's only an OVA but still, what can you really add to "A group of archetypical high school girls goof off." And likewise, why watch it in the first place when there are several other anime with the exact same plot, and characters. I mean these are highschoolers right? Where's the worry about the inevitable? The hormone ridden angst over relationships and otherwise? It doesn't take a lot of work to make a good high school dramedy, but it does take work. |

Because it's not the exact same. Similar archetypes and situations do not lead to identical interactions. I for one don't need anything radically different in each one of these shows - I just need something I enjoy watching. So what if that means yet another culture festival episode? It's something many people find enjoyable no matter how many times they see it, because each show puts its own small spin on things. When I watch Run and Tooru, I'm not watching Yui and Mugi, or Yuno and Miyako, or Akari and Kyouko.
