| This... was awesome. I've been waiting for more of Keiichi's perverted antics and I got them. I can't believe people are complaining about this, if they read the visual novels, they would know that this is exactly what Higurashi is about. I mean, can't the Higurashi cast be happy for once? |

Well the problem isn't that they are happy. Happy times are a musthave for an anime like that (even if it's a short time). Else the watcher could not identify himself with any of the characters. My main problem is, that even the serious characters are displayed as pedophiles and perverts in this episode. The next problem was that when I'm watching Higurashi I do not expect a episode full of hard fanservice. Maybe it will end like Rei, which was a quite good in the end - but this episode was bad in my opinion =/ |

| Just finished watching the first episode and actually, it wasn't that bad. People are just overreacting. I mean the story is done with the original and Kai, what more could you expect? I actually got bits of laughter from it and I assume that that's its main purpose: comedy and make a parody out of itself. It wasn't as "epic" as its predecessors, but it wasn't that bad. Lol seriously. People are just overreacting. For that it gets a 5/10... for now. |
| Because you don't know much about Higurashi. Fan-service is a part of Higurashi, that's why. Most of haters that I see only watch anime and manga, and they think they understand all about Higurashi. Hahaha. And when they see other said "this OVA is ****", and don't have enough knowlegde, they just join with them. Moreover, they judge the series just by the first episode. Hahaha... The fanservice was spaced out throughout the series, unlike the first episode of the OVA, where all of it was concentrated into the first half of the episode. Also, as the Higurashi Kira IS one episode at this point, "the first episode" and "the OVA" are interchangeable. Once more episodes come out, then opinions of the OVA overall will be different than the opinions of the first episode. |
| Can't say this is as good the its predecessors, but a good start. First half was pretty much fan-service, followed by another half which is pretty much a parody. I laugh a bit here and there, but i hope the next episode will be somewhat better. |

| Completely awful fanservice, out of character and physically painful to watch(my chest felt tight the entire time >_>). 2/10, the only thing that saved it was the part with Mion and Shion. THAT was awesome. xD |

| I can't complain, hot fanservice, I've seen season 1, 2, and Rei. It's been serious. I enjoy this fanservice OVA. Also Ooichi's laughter always cracks me up, lol <3 |

| It's not often that I stop watching an episode of a show half-way through because of how disgustingly cringe-worthy it was, but the slight serious undertone of it as it went on just about helped me finish it. Seriously hoping 2-4 are better. They can't really get much worse. |
