The moment his name dropped, people knew what this show would become and that anything he said contrary to that was merely him luring those expecting another fluffy moe mahou shoujo anime into a false sense of security (while confirming that which was suspected by those who know the man's work). Either way, I quite welcome the change in the usual MS format, as I kinda grew tired of the genre lately. I wish more producers had the guts to do this rather than follow the tired and true route of keeping the 'kids' happy. |

| I think he's apologizing now so that anybody who was still in the blue about madoka magica can I guess drop it now before it starts getting into srs business. i was definitely trolled at the end of episode 3 :( i thought mami was going to make some kind comeback with a masou shoujo style hurricane kick and murder than clown sucka from the inside out, but she never did. bah, oh well. females getting killed seems to be the hot topic for this season. |

| So..it's like Higurashi, first few episodes are cute then gets abit horrifying .Except with Higurashi, you are told it's horror themed. Can't stop laughing. They should do this kind of stuff especially with horror e.g Initially looks looks like a generic comedy/drama then scare the life out of you when you aren't expecting it because if you know it's a horror, you won't be as frightened but if it comes out of nowhere, you get the scare. |

| I admit I started watching this show after I heard of episode 3 but you have to admit that this show didn't start off to the very generic happy moe blob type of thing. I mean the second episode Mami was saying if you become a magical girl you have to fight for life and death in the most serious of tones. After that, I knew this wasn't a typical mahou shojo show. |
