Enjoy!

I've also added in a search box in the top right area. No more ctrl + f.

That's for all the feedback everyone. I realize it was a mistake to take away functionality from such a crucial part of our website. I'm only trying to do stuff that makes the site better for all of us, but sometimes by making it 'better', I inadvertently make it worse.

As a short/long/whenever term solution, lists with greater than 1500 entries have their "Show All" buttons disabled.

Also, grand totals will be coming back in the future.

Awesome, thanks!
tbh, i still prefer the ctrl+f search than this one, cause it doesnt have any "load-time" since it doesnt load any other page, but it doesnt matter to me i wont be using it anyway :P

Good to hear, thank you. Though in the original solution (from before this whole thing), I was able to hide specific sections from the list (On-Hold and Dropped in my case, because they'll always be empty). Could you readd that as well please?

Also as a long-term solution, I would like you to have a look here (if you didn't see it there yet): http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=218454&show=460#post466

Thanks, Xinil.
When I open other people's lists I see them on show all by default. Is that normal? I thought that was the problem to begin with...
Still, I'm fine with this solution, so thanks again.

Thank you, but why not having lists with more than 1500 default to only 100 kind of like first proposed and having a "Show all" function?

But what ever happened to hiding/showing certain lists? I don't use "on-hold, dropped, or plan to watch" at all. And before all of this we had the choice of showing or hiding them. Will we ever get that option back as well?

Thanks for giving us Show All back :D

But isn't the extra implemented search thing overloading the server? I still prefer show all + control f, no load time being the main reason, but maybe lots of people will really like the search option so :)

Thank you for listening to your users.

How about allowing the option to select what categories you want to see as the default? For instance, I use my list to look at the anime I've seen, so I don't need to my "plan to watch" list, but I want everything else to be displayed.

Thanks for bringing it back, even as only an option I am happy to have it.

Why not add a few more options to how we view things? I like my list to be on "show all" by default, but I wouldnt mind seeing only the "completed" of people I visit. Maybe set it up where "show all" exists, but "completed" is the default for nonfriends or just anyone else but "show all" is the default for your own list unless you choose otherwise? I would love an option to see only the "watching" and "completed of other members by default since those are the lists that matter in my opinion. Especially when your looking to friend someone based on similar interests.

Many thanks for returning it! This way really is better.

Edit: However, is there a way to change the order sections appear in? I had them all a certain way before, and now they're a bit disorganized...

Thanks so much for bringing it back for us!

**Edit: As someone else said, is there a way to rearrange the section order? I liked having dropped last, and on hold, under watching. Was that standard? I don't remember if we could rearrange them before, since I never fiddled with it :/

Woot!

Thanks for returning it Xinil ^_^

IMO I think the show all was something that set MAL apart from the rest of the online list sites, considering A-P, Anidb, and ANN doesn't provide everything on one list (and why I chose this place in the first place).

Thank you so much, you probably don't even know how rare it is to have a change reverted that was unpopular. I've seen too many sites completely avoid/ignore them.

could be my imagination, but I think its loading faster now.

will we be getting back the ability to remove and reorder sections in our default view?

Nice. I'll very likely add in the stationary top bar in the future
please don't or if you do, please make it optional. I often scroll down specifically so that I won't have to see those.

Xinil, thanks for making changes.

1. You might put in your first message the information that someone might need to clear their cache (as in my case - nothing from the list was displayed until I did it)

2. I really miss the feature where I could see my "Watching", "Plan" and "On Hold" on one page. (I almost never visit "Completed" or "Dropped". )
This is where I have managed my list entries.

And now I feel so much more how awkward is the orderof the tabs. My preference would be "Watching, Plan, On Hold, Completed, Dropped" (and no "All")

3.
a) And I would prefer instead "Currently watching" simply "Watching" in the tab name (the same as the title on the list).
b) It would be also nice to have the width of the tabs to be equal to each other.
c) Would be nice to know how I could select in CSS the whole tab (highlight the tab) when hovering over it and not only highlight the text.
