| I love the way this anime shows emotion, it's my favorite aspect. Like how Miyazawa started crying when she was missing Arima and felt his arms around her... it's very real. |

| Probably one of the bad eps. I dislike this shoujo trope of running away. ( I am aware I am watching a shoujo ) But to be honest ... that dialogue by Arima was wrong on so many levels. |

| Arima is finally back, yaay. Yukino is becoming aware of her increasing affection for him, it's especially stressed by her comments about bare shoulders. I didn't really expect Arima to become so controlling for a bit though, that scene kinda caught me off guard. However I can probably understand his feelings here - in the end, he was looking up to reuniting with Yukino as much as she was, and what did he get? Some pretty strange behaviour on behalf of Yukino. I still disapprove of his sudden use of force here, but it was a very brief emotional ourburst and it was fairly realistic, I've come to accept it by watching the scene again. In no way did it make me love the show less. I also don't understand the comments about the show being "terrible" after Anno's departure. Sure, it's not him now, but the style is still coherent, and Tsurumaki is not a bad director, you know. He's basically Anno's pupil and brought us FLCL a few years after Kare Kano. Bad directors don't do stuff like FLCL. Although I'm not sure that it was actually Tsurumaki who directed the rest of Kare Kano, since there's some information about the replacement director being Hiroki Sato. But whatever the case, this episode was great. Do I even have to write about how great Yukino's conversation with Maho was? |

The first half deals with Yukino waiting for Arima to arrive back from his training camp, the second half with them spending some time together for the first time after being separated for a while. I liked the first half better. Making the viewer wait for the reunion of Yukino and Arima mirrored the waiting for Yukino herself. It also lead to a nice contrast between her everyday life and the thoughts, which were in a different place. The second half was a shorter rehash of Yukino’s problems of confessing to Arima earlier in the series. It felt a slight bit redundant to have the basically same storyline again, even though Yukino managed a bit more courage this time. |

| Well that was a 5/5. Emotions felt so natural from both sides. I like the different directing more than previously too, although I think the gags were a little overdone in the beginning |

| It's been more than a decade since I've read the manga and the only thing I remember is that Arima has so many issues. Anime is confirming that I was right. I don't think we've even gotten to the worse parts yet if my memory is more correct. This poor guy. |
