| I loved the first season so I'm really looking forward to this. Now maybe the KyoAni otaku will shut up about Free! and fanboy over Chuu- 2 getting another season. KyoAni is my second favorite studio only thing I hated that came from them was Lucky Shit and the second season of Haruhi with that Endless Eight bullshit. I haven't seen K-On! or Nichijou to comment on those yet. |

There's no reason right now to believe the anime will follow the novels any more than season one did (which was barely at all). Assuming anything about the direction or plot of the second season at the moment is much too hasty. I'd agree 100% about that. Because of the way they adapted the first season they could do absolutely anything in the second. They may introduce the new character or they may not. I suppose my one concern is that thematically the first season tied up nicely. Still I'd love to see more Rika and Yuuta. They made such a cute couple. |

I hope KyoAni isn't producing this just because of the first season's popularity. This season might turn out to be unnecessary story-wise. Anyway, I'm pretty excited for this! :D |

Personally, one flaw I find with romance in anime is that it often ends shortly after the relationship starts. I'm pretty excited to see what comes after they've gotten together, because all too often we don't. A tale of being in love can be very different from a tale of falling in love. 3. There are other characters they can explore, both returning from season one and newly introduced in season two. The other characters from season one (while for the most part handled quite well!) mostly played parts in and around around the core Rikka/Yuuta romance, rather than had their own personal stories told in detail. There is always an opportunity to expand a world. (I'm not joking when I say I think Dekomori as protagonist would be amazing. We've only scratched the surface of what that girl can provide storywise.) Sure, I'll also be disappointed if season two focuses exclusively on taking a step backwards in Rikka and Yuuta's relationship and treads water until returning us where the first season left off. But that's hardly the only narrative option available. So if you liked Chuu2Koi, don't worry so much. We don't yet know what 2Chuu2Koi will bring us but I personally have a lot of reasons to feel optimistic. I mean, I hear ya. If its done well, it'll be fantastic. I loved the first season as you can see from my favorites. I'm just worried about it. An anime that I loved THAT much and it was wrapped up in one season. It just seems they are throwing together another season for the cash. I hope that isn't the case. |

| So thrilled this is getting a S2. I have some reservations but the first season was quite good at giving attention to its supporting cast of characters and as long as the comedic value and writing remains fresh its a win win. |

| I enjoyed the first season a lot, but when it was over, I wasn't sure if more of this show would be a good thing. It might just be too much. But, regardless, I will watch S2. |
