The high-contrast visuals, the music, the voice acting. Everything built up to the end nicely for that damn obvious revelation. Really an amazing episode. |

| I'm a little sad to see people expressing this is their favourite episode of the whole series, because after seeing this halfway through, I thought: the end must be awesome! It really was a fantastic episode though. The direction was awesome. From her rambling about all the things she likes at the beginning (suki this, suki that, suki everything) which seemed to have little purpose at the time, the play of light and shadows (going back to the ending of previous episode), the musical pieces used to highlight scenes... it was just awesome. I was already thinking this was the best episode yet after he kissed her, and then the ending with the playover, him slipping on the mask with all the people passing, and then final words: Suki. Suki. It's rare to see an episode tied so very well into a perfect bow without you even expecting it. Just great. |

| This is the third and last episode directed by Hosoda (5, 12, 26), quite different to the comedy-oriented episode 12 that featured Nadja, Kennosuke and the Master looking for the treasure. Quite funny that Francis had to appear for the revelation, dude really traveled to the south there. Also nice to see the Spanish setting used to great effect, instead of the constant abuse of clichés from the previous episodes. |
