| The question of survival, added to what you see later, make it fun and enjoyable episode. Longing that I felt towards the end, thanks to the insert song that seems so much of eighties music. Scenarios as excellent quality, drawings and animations as sufficient quality. |

| Shimamura is a gem of all clothing stores; it carries everything a store should. They also follow the latest fashion trends, so you can look chic without spending a fortune. Shimamura is cheap. When I say cheap, I don’t mean as cheap as a used clothing store. Instead I mean “cheaper than you would expect for this quality of clothes." Now I know better: new clothes don’t always have to be expensive! ;) |

| – Natsu proving to be more civilized than Machi – villagers being pervs – SUBTLE CLOTHING ADVERTISEMENT I can only guess where all that budget for animation came from... If the next episode has again more of item #2 and item #3, and less of item #1, I think I'll drop the show. |

| Those dirty old men imagining Machi in different outfits lol Although her name is Machi, she can't go into town on her own. Natsu knows how to use a tablet and even gets a wifi signal up there. I laughed hard when that cheesy 80s-90s Japanese music started playing when Hibiki and Machi went into the second shop. |

| i got a doubt about a certain scene in this episode. i watch with spanish subs so maybe this scene is different depending on the fansub circles around the world but this is the scene in question  since they they left it out as random symbols, it makes it look like she's swearing but i highly doubt it |

| A new character can always help a comedy, and here we get a woman whose look and expression are opposite to her intentions. It made a slighly funny quiproquo but... All the rest of the second half went over me without I ever understood the comedic idea. What's funny about being a low cost fashion resellers otaku? 2.5/5 @Jerkhov Thank you, I immediately thought of Back to the Future then I tried torecognize the song but ended up telling me it was only,my imagination. |

| There's a couple of things in this episode that contribute to, or are representative of, her social anxiety. Right at the beginning of the episode, all the men treat her as an object of desire rather than a shrine maiden as they enthused over Machi's appearance in the four outfits, and inadvertently make her feel very uncomfortable in the process. I don't say this in light of feminist theory- I'm revolted at the mere idea- but in Machi's perspective, considering she is probably the only girl her age in her near vicinity. For her to be perceived as this doll by virtually every human male in this village, I'm sure it would gnaw at her confidence, as a maiden and a person. Later on, we see Machi as she watches Natsu performing menial tasks, jobs which the former believes is outside of the latter's physical capabilities. She does this with a certain fixation, one that is for the benefit of herself rather than her friend. By observing Natsu, she tries to justify her dependence of him as she watches him hopefully make a mistake or find himself unable to do something, as this would reassure herself that the relationship she has with him is symbiotic rather than one-sided reliance. This is a critical scene when evaluating Machi as a character as it is deeply introspective, showing us an almost psychological side of her that we haven't been exposed to before. Lastly, the part when Machi is coerced into participating in a social encounter, a shopping excursion, is also quite significant, partly due to how relatable it is. In the store, I was wondering why, despite her knowledge of urban life, she had a relatively deep knowledge of the shopping chain and its business practices. It feels as though she latches onto this mostly useless knowledge, hoping that it'd come to her aid once she goes to school in the city. It seems as though people weren't too amused by this episode, but for me it was the most interesting by far. It might have not been the funniest thing Kuma Miko has to offer, I concede there, but it served as a strong way to define Machi's character. I've already heard the horror stories regarding how this show ends, but I'm approaching the rest with "educated" faith. |

| Well, I mean, I also liked her outfits.. She was really cute.. But.. But didn't expect that a lot of people will actually discuss it.. A bit unusual to see so many men of culture.. ;p Machi really could use more technology knowledge, doesn't she?.. I mean, bear could share, you know.. On the one hand, this blond girl behaves like bully in some ways.. On the other hand, yeah.. I understand better, why Kumai is worried about letting Machi go to study in the city.. I mean, bullies are part of the life, especially at school.. Machi really needs some knowledge, and experience talking with people, it seems.. Interesting to see Machi falling into trance in the clothes store.. ;p This anime getting hilarious sometimes.. ;p I think, I understood, why anime the way it is.. It is full of rude humor, or people not being very considerate at times.. I think it mirrors quite well, with how things are in rural area.. People there are less considerate of others, they prefer dealing in more direct way, swearing and other things are more prevalent as well.. In the end they are not really bad people.. But they're people with not greatest manners as well.. Anyway.. For some reason, I just semi-ignore stuff that can be questionable, even if realize that there is some in this anime.. I just for some reason enjoy it for it good sides.. When it is funny, wholesome, cute, or something.. And there are plenty of moments like that.. So far, I really enjoy anime.. |

| Finally the delinquent shows up! I didn't expect her to be so violent towards Machi though. Her gutpunching Yoshio in the intro is always amusing but I think she was too rough on poor Machi for my liking. I hope it's just to establish character and she starts treating the sweet little miko better. Beat up Yoshio some more for all I care. He's weird. |
