You're right, we should've left a long time ago too. Even the first episodes were already a red alert. There's just something about the anime that makes me unable to stop though, a part of me wants to see just how low can it stoop, I guess. My neck...hmm, now that you mention it, it feels a little weird. Guess I'll go nuts now like Ooishi or everyone else in the last ep. Welp, better to not fight against it :p.

Hey man, just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I agree with your Higurashi takes in the anime discussions. The new show is just absolutely terrible, completely lacks nuanced story-telling and attention to detail, and no one from the production team cares one bit about how it looks/is directed/is written. I was totally bewildered when I saw so many positive comments in the episode discussions, a lot of people even claiming it to be better than the original anime (which was just driving me insane) so your comment was a pleasant surprise. Knowing the original anime and the VN, it makes me really sad how poorly the new series turned out.
