<strong>Character Manager</strong> is an anime character game, in which players buy characters into their team and develop their squad. <strong>The goal of the game</strong> is to manage your club to as rich as possible by buying and selling different players - in this case anime characters.
<strong>The cost of a player</strong> is determined by the number of people who have favourited this character. There is the <!--link--><a href="
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=254423"><strong>>>Bank<<</strong></a> -thread below led by club officers, where you can post buying requests and sell off your old players. Of course, the bank sells the characters for a higher price, and buys them back for a lower price, as explained in the <!--link--><a href="
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=254423"><strong>>>Bank<<</strong></a> -thread. The players level up, or their price rises, when more and more people add them to favourites. When they are removed from the favourites, their price drops accordingly.
<strong>Every player in the game is unique.</strong> It means that two clubs can't own the same character. The <strong>character transfers</strong> between different clubs can be arranged in the <!--link--><a href="
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=261227"><strong>>>Transfers<<</strong></a> thread, where managers can trade one character for another. A good example of a good trade is a veteran, who is more favoured at the moment, traded for a rising star, who could get more points in the future.

Start by thinking of a name for your team. After you've done that, register it in the <!--link--><a href="
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=261206"><strong>>>Team Registration<<</strong></a> -thread. You'll get 1000 Desu Dollars for you team, after your team is approved.
With these 1000 <!--link--><a href="
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=261392">Desu Dollars</a> or <strong>DDs</strong> you can buy players into your team. <strong>There is a maximum of 6 characters pro team.</strong> The cost of a character is determined by the number of people have favourited this character. So if you have Yagami Light, Katsura Hinagiku, Alucard, Grell Sutcliff and Roy Mustang, the DDs for the club will be counted as follows (The numbers in the example are rounded, so they won't need to be replaced every day):
Yagami Light: worth of ca. 8000 DDs
Katsura Hinagiku: ca. worth of 1500 DDs
Alucard: worth of ca. 5000 DDs
Grell Sutcliff: worth of ca. 1000 DDs
Roy Mustang: worth of ca. 2500 DDs
Total Team worth: ca. 18000 DDs
Plus there will also be unused money, which you've earned, but haven't used for buying characters yet. <strong>The unused Desu Dollars won't be counted with the points of the characters that you own, and thus won't affect your team rating in future competitions.</strong>
Of course you shouldn't be able to purchase such high-ranked characters at once. <strong>Your starting budget is 1000 DDs.</strong> Therefore you have to pick less known characters at first. You can earn more DDs by:
<span style="color:blue">a)<!--color--></span> Buying promising characters, these usually happen to be the characters you like.
<span style="color:blue">b)<!--color--></span> Waiting for them to get popular and <strong>selling them at the right time</strong> to buy even more promising characters, maybe already quite popular ones.
<span style="color:blue">c)<!--color--></span> You can try and ensure the growth of your character popularity by <strong>recommending the anime or manga with that character to other people.</strong> This way less known anime/manga series may get more fans (Butterfly effect).
<span style="color:blue">d)<!--color--></span> You can try and <strong>trade your character with someone else</strong>, hoping to gain profit.

As you already know, there is a <!--link--><a href="
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=254423"><strong>>>Bank<<</strong></a> -section for buying new characters. But what if there is more then one person, who wants to buy the current character? The first to post wins?
The "Auctions" make it all a) easier, and b) more interesting. Once there are two or more people wanting the same character <strong>inside the same day</strong>, an "Auction" is made. The rules are simple - the one who's ready to pay the most gets the character.
This will work extremely well with the new characters. For example:
<strong>Ai Nanasaki</strong>. Member Favorites: <strong>15</strong>. Bank price: <strong>17</strong> DDs (bank takes 10% rounded up, 15 x 10% = 1,5, rounded up 2).
<strong>User X</strong>: <em>posts a message to the Bank saying he/she wants the character</em>
<strong>User Y</strong>: <em>quotes <strong>user X</strong>, wants the character as well.</em>
<span style="color:blue"><strong>Club officer</strong><!--color--></span>: opens an Auction thread. "Auction: Ai Nanasaki, minimum bid raise: 2 DDs (10% rounded up)"
<strong>User Y</strong>: <em>bids 19 DDs</em>
<strong>User X</strong>: <em>bids 21 DDs</em>
<strong>User Y</strong>: <em>bids 23 DDs</em>
<strong>User Z</strong>: <em>bids 50 DDs</em>. 3 days go by with no more bids.
<span style="color:blue"><strong>Club officer</strong><!--color--></span>: Auction closed. Ai Nanasaki sold to <strong>user Z</strong> for <strong>50</strong> DDs.
Before you enter the Auction, you also need to have a free place in your team. If your team is full, you can't take part in the Auction.
