SynopsisKeroro is a frog-like alien sent from his home planet on a mission to conquer Earth. But when his cover is blown, his battalion abandons him and he ends up in the home of the Hinata family. There, he's forced to do household chores and sleep in a dark basement that was once supposedly a prison cell haunted by the ghost of an innocent girl. He even spends his free time assembling Gundam model kits. During his stay, Keroro meets up with subordinates who were also stranded during their failed invasion.

Keroro Gunsou is one of the series you would think is meant for the very young audience, because of the art style. "Looks like Pokemon" is usually what you would say when you look at our little green friends. You couldn't be more wrong. In the USA, this show would've recieved a straight Teen rating. Why's that? Because of this Anime is filled with surprises, from parodies to disturbing scenes...
Story:
---------------------------
The main story is about these frogs: The Keroro Platoon. They've recieved a mission from the HQ, who told them to invade the earth. So now they're at it. Yup, That's it. Over 300 episodes with the same plot. BUT, each episode is well devoloped/written and are sure to make the audience laugh. Everything from Slapstick comedy to selling illegal underage DVDs on the net (The most suggestive jokes in this show).
The episodes are short (One episode contains two parts with a different story, 11 minutes each) but still hilarious. A one-part, 22 minutes episode is also aired from time to time.
Art:
--------------------------
Even though the drawings is a bit simple, the art-style of this Anime is excellent and really fits this kind of show. The animations is at high-speed and there's very little of those "Character standing still, only mouth moving" moments. The backgrounds are great too, but nothing outstanding.
Sound:
---------------------------
The characters all have perfect voices and you'll most likely smile each time a character speak. The music in the background is just okay. There is some great pieces, but that's about 5% of the total. The BGM is re-used all the time
through these 300 episodes, with only 1-2 new tracks each season, so you may get sick of it after a while.
The Openings/Endings are great from my point of view, but some may not fit everybodies tastes. About every music genre is featured through these OP/ED's, so there may be sometimes when people just skip them.
(For example, if you dislike Disco songs, skip OP 1 and 2)
Character
-----------------------------
It's one of the few Anime-series that makes use of "new and fresh" characters. Everyone has different personalities and with such a huge cast, it makes it hard to believe how they came up with it! Some are suggestive, some are cute and others are simply just crazy. Here's a description of the main-chars personalities:
* Keroro = A lazy sergant with a huge passion for Gundam Plastic Models.
* Giroro = A weapon-phile with a fetish on Violent women. (Here, Natsumi)
* Tamama = He's gay and looks very cute. ...but he gets serious mood-changes when someone spends time with his love, Keroro. He calls it "Jealousy". He's frequently using bad language too, mostly S**t.
* Kururu = A smart guy, stalking girls with cameras in the
bathrooms/changing rooms and sells the clips over the
net. (Did I mention that it's usually girls between 13-15 years that's filmed?)
He's actually an inventor. A big part of the platoon but still kinda creepy...
*Dororo = Oh, I almost forgot him... He's a running gag, each time forgotten
by all the other characters and gets really depressed. This may be a crude
joke for some, though...
We also have the 'incest' girl who wants to be her uncles' wife (Moa/Mois), the typical violent Tsundere girl (Natsumi), the perfect shaped mother (Aki) and the kind hearted, but occult-crazed (Fuyuki)
Enjoyment
---------------------------
I would say a 10, but some things are picking down on this...
At first, the morals gets really annoying after a while. Each time a character does something that would hurt/jail/kill someone if repeated in real-life, they warn us. Fine, I got it the first time... Also, like most long-running series,
there's a fair amount of clip-shows. But that's all the flaws I can think of.
I'm at my 160th episode, but it's still as fun as always!
Overall
------------------------------
It's an enjoyable, pretty innocent show. Even though the humor may be vulgar from time to time, it's mostly PG-rated. The violence in the show is bloodless (Not counting Nosebleeds) and the characters looks cute, so that makes up for it. Only some episodes really crosses the line, which you'll understand if you read about the characters...
I would recommend this to all fans of Comedy/Random Anime.
For fans of Ecchi, you should rather check out the Manga. read more

I started to become a fan of Sergeant Frong (aka Keroro Gunsou) when the manga first came out here in the US. At first I though this was gonna be some manga I wouldn't like but eventually I fell in love with the crazy antics of the Alien space Frog, Keroro. I began to watch the episodes on Youtube and they were just as I expected to be. Though the show seems kiddy like, they have alot of adult themes. It also has sketches within the anime of scenes of many famous Japanese movies and Animes (Gundam the most).
The story begins with Fuyki and Natsumi Hinata find a strange Frog like alien hidding in there home. The siblings capture the alien and scare off the alien invasion leaving behind Keroro, the alien, and his teammates behind. After that, Natsumi puts the little guy to work. Cleaning the house, washing dishes, and so forth. Soon he becomes part of the family, but still plans on taking over the world (which his alien race calls Pokopen).
Keroro soon meets up with all his crazy but interesting friends. Private Tamama, is Keroro's left hand man, always following his orders but has a strange affection for him.Tamam also has a split personallity so better not get on his bad side. Corporal Giroro is a Gun crazy loonatic, which has a crush on Natsumi, also he tries to keep Keroro in line. First Sergeant Kululu is one of Keroro's most dangerous friends. Kululu invents and creates deadly weapons made for the sole task of invading earth. Then there is Corporal Doror (aka Zeroro) which is sometimes ignored by the other group members and has dedicated his life to protecting earth. Then there is Keroro's beloved nephew Moa-Chan, the young woman who is destined to destroy earth but holds back just for her beloved uncle.
Keroro and his friends go on several adventures, and make many attempts to invade earth. They always fail or some how they make things better for humans. But as long as there Gundam models around Keroro's plans to invade earth will be very long indeed.
The story is kinda half assed but it's a good anime none the less. It has many colorful characters and episodes that will make you want to see what crazy antics will he do next. Keroro is not anime you should pass up, since he's become one of Japan's newest anime idle (Next to Gundam that is). So check it out, I'm pretty sure you'll have a laugh or two. read more

These are two similar series that are SO similar - it's almost scary. Both main protagonists, Keroro and Ika, are "invaders" from very different worlds who come here to Earth in order to invade us and claim everything in humanity for their society back home. And, both end up becoming slaves to a pair of siblings to do hard work and labor for one reason or another as soon as they arrive unto Earth. Ika - a pair of sisters. Keroro - a sister and brother. The art style and emotion art between the two is even similar. The comedy is the same between the two as well. Slapstick and character torture [to a very light degree]. When Keroro and Ika do something that they aren't supposed to, they are punished by fists driving into their skulls [or other forms] and yelled at for their foolish behavior by the tsundere sister in the series. The sound effects, music, and setting are spot on with each other as well [various popping and squishing noises and electric/bubbly music]. The two protagonists also have the same sort of character motifs and actions and emotions, as well as a catch phrase/regularly used Japanese honorifics. Keroro - "~De Arimasu!". Ika - "~De Geso!". And lastly, they also are sheltered and befriended by their captures in return for their hard manual labor and being tortures. They also find out just what it means to be a citizen on Earth and what the humans go through in their daily lives. Episodes are also split into two parts - however, they are both tied in with each other. So, if you have watched on of these series watch the other. You're seriously going to like it and notice EVERYTHING that's similar with the other series in the first episode.
both are extremely good comedies which feature an invading alien-like character
Ika Musume is so similar to keroro, apart from the fact they both want to invade earth, it's somewhat similar kind of humour.
both the main characters want to take over the Earth. But end up being too lazy to do so.
Both protagonists, (Keroro and Ika-Musume) are invaders trying to invade earth but end up being treated like slaves for some kids (siblings). Keroro and Ika-Musume both show their evil side time to time and usually gets yelled at or hit. The humour is very much alike and you will automatically notice the similarities between the 2 anime. :D

Both are random, funny with great characters.
Both have aliens and both were being made by Sunrise~
both have aliens, and they're both very funny and random!
Gintama and Keroro are both very random and very funny. They also share similar parody elements and break the fourth wall all the time. Both have a lot of interesting characters and are episodic for the most part. And of course, both are fun to watch :D
It has lots of parodies to other Anime like Gintama and is just as random
