Keroro is a frog-like alien sent from his home planet on a mission to conquer Earth. But when his cover is blown, his battalion abandons him and he ends up in the home of the Hinata family. There, he's forced to do household chores and sleep in a dark basement that was once supposedly a prison cell haunted by the ghost of an innocent girl. He even spends his free time assembling Gundam model kits. During his stay, Keroro meets up with subordinates who were also stranded during their failed invasion.

I remember watching this when I was young and I really laughed so hard at this. It's a shame though that they had to finish :(. Anyway, on to the review.

The nature of Sergeant Frog can be very deceiving with its simplistic, child-like animation style. This series is hilarious, clever, and vastly underrated. Although one would think this show was intended exclusively for a very young audience, it is suitable for people of all ages.

Each episode of Sergeant Frog plays out like a sitcom, deriving its comedy from a combination of smart wordplay, highly expressive physical humor, breaking of the fourth wall, and many read more

Well before otaku-queen Konata Izumi's (LuckyStar) sitcom ever aired, there existed a little green alien named Keroro that came down to command and conquer this planet. How he will manage to pull this off even Keroro doesn't even know himself. This is where the viewer comes in. We're all there for the wild ride that is the Keroro Universe. This whole series is told in a sitcom format where almost every episode will end with little to no change to the story. If you don't know if this is a series for you just read the lyrics of the first opening credits:

Keroro Gunsou is one of those Anime-series you would think is meant for a very young audience due to the art style. "Looks like Pokemon" is an usual comment for this show. You couldn't be more wrong. In the USA, this show would've received a Teen rating, nothing less. And why? Because this Anime is filled with surprises: Parodies of 70-90s Anime, Nudity and the ocassional episode with outright disturbing scenes.

The show sorrounds a group of five frogs, named "The Keroro Platoon". Their job is simply to invade the earth and control everything there. With over 300 episodes with the same plot, it becomes rather read more

I started to become a fan of Sergeant Frong (aka Keroro Gunsou) when the manga first came out here in the US. At first I though this was gonna be some manga I wouldn't like but eventually I fell in love with the crazy antics of the Alien space Frog, Keroro. I began to watch the episodes on Youtube and they were just as I expected to be. Though the show seems kiddy like, they have alot of adult themes. It also has sketches within the anime of scenes of many famous Japanese movies and Animes (Gundam the most).

The story begins with Fuyki and read more

Anime: Shinryaku! Ika Musume
These are two similar series that are SO similar - it's almost scary. Both main protagonists, Keroro and Ika, are "invaders" from very different worlds who come here to Earth in order to invade us and claim everything in humanity for their society back home. And, both end up becoming slaves to a pair of siblings to do hard work and labor for one reason or another as soon as they arrive unto Earth. Ika - a pair of sisters. Keroro - a sister and brother. The art style and emotion art between the two is even similar. The comedy is the same between  read more

Anime: Gintama
Both are random, funny with great characters.
Both have aliens and both were being made by Sunrise~

Anime: Lucky☆Star
A lot of references of Keroro in Lucky Star. They also use the real voices of the characters, and they appear as dolls and figurines in the serie. The show is also humoristic, and sometimes it's as random as Keroro.

Anime: Hataraku Maou-sama!
The two animes are both of the type "Welcome to Earth, Bastard!" were the main characters face having to learn and cope with living on Earth, or Japan, more precisely.

Both try to create situations which we would deem normal or easy to solve, but get to have over exaggerated reactions or complete misunderstandings, offering lots of funny moments with the characters.

Also, some out-of-ordinary situations show up to defy the main characters from having their stay peacefully and "minding their own business" on Earth, as well as having a recurrent number of new characters added to the main cast.

Anime: FLCL
They bothave a certain supernatural feel to them, as well as being random at times. Also, they have aliens. There are many similarities between the two..let's just say that. I am sure if you like FLCL, you'll like Keroro.

Anime: Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
Amazingly enough there are acutely a lot of similarities between the two. Keroro Gunso has a lot of refrence comedy to it, "supernatural" things that are not earthly, parodys, they are both hilarious to watch, and more. And as well whenever I watch Dokuro-chan, it reminds me of Natsumi Hinata from Keroro. I guess they are both tsunderes. Anyways, I am sure that if you liked this Anime you will like Keroro Gunso! ;D
