These two shows are extremely similar. A couple of high school students are transported to a "different" world and the girl is chosen as a priestess. No difference! What you need to know are the differences, which are: in Fushigi you have a harem anime with tons of romance and the love triangles/squares/whatever are blatantly obvious, plus lots of comedy. In Harukanaru there is a much more serious tone and much less romance (well, it takes much longer to be revealed and then it's much more discreet). Other than this, the plot is almost identical.

While both of these shows have completely different settings (La Corda focuses on classical music while Harukanaru is a fantasy and magic anime) they are both anime based on dating sims by the same creators. These two shows are both reverse harems, meaning a female character surrounded by a lot of males. The settings are different by the main focus is still present, that you the viewers will wonder who the female lead will end up with .

A school girl that turns into a priestess and deals with jewels. Does that not sound similar? They both even went through a well.

As well as being made by the same company, Neo Angelique Abyss and ~Hachiyou Shou~ do have other things in common. Some similarities are that they are both reverse harem anime, one female lead with many male supporting characters and the themes of these anime are also similar. Neo Angelique is set in a slightly more modern time, and Harukanaru Toki no Naka de... is obviously 'land before time'. Both these series are fun to watch.

It is similar in the sense that the main character is being protected by several 'guardians' and that they have to stop an evil being.

they are both about a girl who get to go into a world that they don't know bout... in juuni the girl became an empress and in harukanaru she became a preistess in a way they are similar and they both have people they're protectors in that world....^_^ they are both awesome anime....>_< i luv them both.....

girl surrounded with bishounens.. ~ reverse harem

They're both r-harems where the girl gets transported into a world with magical handsome men, but beyond that I think they've got similar tones and visual styles. They've also both got world-saving plots, although Harukanaru is a little more action-based and Angelique is less so? I think that if one appeals to a person, the other also might.

How these anime are similar: - Both Akane and Yui are pulled from their respective worlds into another dimension. - Both are reverse harems where the main female protagonist is followed around by 8 guys. - The main male characters in both possess, more or less, super powers, albeit one is that of gods and the other...hmm...demon exterminators? Either way, if you liked one then you're bound to like the other. Please enjoy!

Both anime are shoujo, fantasy and reverse harem, where the main character or the protagonist is an ordinary girl that surrounded by a bunch of bishonen, and they’re competing on her, the story goes slowly, a girl that involved in some supernatural issues, and you can guess the end easily, the two anime have mutual concerns, for example the handsome boys are fighting each other to have the girl, and the girl seems confused about her passion, the protagonist in both series is a simple and naive girl, the two works are similar in these cases.

similarities: -Shoujo harem. -(Isekai) Dim school girl travels from modern world into magic past, she's more important to that world than this one. -fantasy. -Style of the characters is kind of similar. -Both have sequels and side stories if you're hungry for more once you're done watching the main series. differences -Harukanaru gets more serious/dramatic than Meiji Tokyo Renka, MTR is more light-hearted. -MTR has more of a focus in the romantic aspect of the story, while Harukanaru is more focused on the character development of the MC. -The male characters feel more fleshed out in Harukanaru, **but** they're not any more or any less loveable because of that, you just get to know  read more

Both have the theme of collecting the people who have special gems Both have demons, spirits and whatnot Swords Close relations between male characters Somehow have similar vibe, so if you liked one, you should check the other one.

Both are set in ancient China/Japan, which are quite similar. Also, the harem is... really huge. There are also some similarities between the main characters personalities.

Reverse harem where both the girls seem oblivious to the dangerous situation they are in. The men all like and want to protect the lovely main female characters and are fighters/warriors. And super hott. With long hair. Both anime have a little fantasy/magic in them.

Another creation by Koei, this is also a spin-off of a ren-ai dating sim for girls. There are 9 guardians of different elements who help Ange achieve the goal of saving the newly-born Cosmos. Sequel series is: Koi Suru Tenshi Angelique - Kagayaki no Ashita

Both are reverse harem shows involving a high school girl who is surrounded by 10+ bishounen who possess magical abilities.

Akane (Harukanaru) and Yuzuki (Sengoku) were both female MCs whisked from the present time to an alternative universe by a Miko to fulfill their destinies. They are summoned to empower the 'armies' and/or unite the factions. Whilst Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Hachiyou Shou has elements of the four gods (i.e. Seiryuu, Suzaku, Byakku, Genbu) fighting for power, Sengoku Night Blood has a twist of historical elements coming from the warring states period of Japan. Both have reverse-harem elements and lots of bishounen.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de ~Hachiyou Shou~, like Hanasakeru Seishounen, revolves around one female lead character that is surrounded by bishounen (it's a reverse-harem, after all). The characters feel similar in both personality and physical characteristics; however, there is more bishounen, adventure, and story plot in Harukanaru Toki no Naka de ~Hachiyou Shou~ and more romance in Hanasakeru Seishounen.

Both are in the same era, also, in both there´s a war between demons and humans.

Both have a lead girl who at first are weak and a little bit crybaby but as the story progress they grow to be strong minded and brave. They both have to find their allies with supernatural powers to protect them. Akatsuki no Yona is more adventure based than Harukanaru and Harukanaru is more harem like anime than Akatsuki no Yona but they are similar with story progression.
