I'm currently a graduate student in computer science. I've been watching anime for about six years now, and reading manga for almost as long. I also like to read trashy novels, mainly romance these days, and some sci-fi and fantasy. The anime shows I enjoy are pretty varied when it comes to genre. I'm not much into horror, although I enjoyed Elfen Lied. I love action shows, especially when they have strong female leads as in Seirei no Moribito and Twelve Kingdoms. I'm easily turned off by the subtly sexist shows; I can deal with blatant stuff like Ikkitousen (loved both seasons, to be honest), but the more subtle stuff that you find in shows like Bleach, Naruto and Claymore caused me to lose interest. Right now, my top anime obsession is Kaiji.

Kaiji is very different, is the first time I watched something like this, and It took me some time to get used to the art, and the flow of the action is a bit slow, to the truth I really don't know what to think, is not my favorite but I like it; it's much better than others I'm currently watching.

the reason of the change in the compability rate is that MAL change the way it was calculated. So now tend to be bigger.
Lately nothing got me (except Nodame Cantabile) so I hope I like that

usually people give 5 to shows didn't like I do the same as you, most of my rates are 5 and to give a 6 has to be at least as good as all the ones I rated 6. Anyway I'm sure I'm not fair sometimes but I try my best not to overrate things I like like claymore, or berserk, urusei yatsura ...

actually I enjoy the show and that's enough to finish it, I love Ahiru's clumsiness. Animation is regular but you get the idea of the character's feelings "most of thanks to music like in Escaflowne" and a cat is ballet teacher! T=T

wow, i kinda get where your getting at and kinda not. i never watched Claymore before so i wouldn't understand it much. I've only read the first volume of Claymore though it was a long time ago.
