If I could use one word to describe Happiness Charge it would be consistent. It's pretty much always a fun and entertaining show at the least, while there are parts that are better and worse than others its highs and lows aren't particularly extreme ever. I could always count on each episode to be basely enjoyable when I watched it even if I didn't expect much else.

The characters are fun enough. They have good chemistry with each other and I Hime in particular is great, she's definitely the stand out Cure from this season to me. Something of a problem though is that the show read more

Some shows are good. Some shows are bad. Some shows...can't seem to decide what it wants to be, or what it is. I like it when an anime wants to tell a story and knows what its doing, even in its filler episodes, and it's not just shows for adults that do this. Kids shows have done this too. Popolocrois, Fancy Lala, and Jewelpet Twinkle are three examples of great kids shows that know what they want and come out great because of it. Everything in the World Masterpiece Theater does it masterfully. Unfortunately, while I do love Happiness Charge Pretty Cure, I admit it read more

While I never watched other Pretty Cure shows, but I'll try to comment about what I think about Happiness Charge Precure. I'm one of those people who is familiar about Sailor Moon before other animes.

Story: It's a Magical Girl anime. The show is about Japan being over run by monsters called Saiarks. And the heroes are girls Hime, Megumi, Yuko, and Iona, who can transform into PreCures, using power-ups called PreCards, which can be used for attacks. When a Saiark is defeated, the Cures are rewarded with new PreCards from the fairies that travel with them, and when their albums are full, they get a read more

I've seen a lot of Precure fans saying "Happiness Charge Precure is too sugary and sweet" or "It was good, but not as good as some of the other seasons". Despite this, I really liked it.

The story was kind of weird, with plot twists and such.

The animation was good enough, and the art style is cute. The CG effects are very good. There are a lot of bright colors, glitter, and effects.

The opening song and both ending songs are spectacular. The voice acting is okay.

The main character Megumi is kind of a stereotypical "Help everyone and be kind to others!" pink main character. read more

Anime: Shugo Chara!
~ both have heros/heroines

~ both have mascots

~ both have a clumsy main character

~ both had enemies that later became friends/allies

~ both have someone captured/passed out when a monster/evil character appears

~ both deal with romance/crushes

~ in both, the monster/evil character is usually based on someone's dream(for example, if someone's dream was a painter, the monster might have a paint brush as a weapon)

Anime: Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE!
Magical warriors! School students! Animal mascots! All three make up the similarities of both anime shows.

Both are about magical warriors who attend a school. In BinanLove, it takes place in a high school, while in Happiness Charge, it takes place in a middle school. Both leaders are young and more energetic than their teammates. Only difference is Megumi likes to help others and Yumoto likes animals.

Overall, just gender-swap the characters and this is your result.

Anime: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal
Both are currently airing Mahou Shojo animation by Toei.

While Sailor Moon Anime was hiatus for 17 years. Precure has slowly filled that gap till Crystal came.

Both have similar themes as well. While Precure has always change their themes in it's new entry. Sailor Moon has stuck to it's own throughout.

While some may argue that Sailor Moon is much more mature than Precure, especially how this Crystal s now following the more darker content of the manga series.

Precure can be pretty dark at times. And it seems by the look of things at Happiness Charge, we'll be getting  read more
