SynopsisThe story is set in the not-so-distant future. Five "Black Points" suddenly appeared around the world as portals to parallel worlds. Immediately after, strange creatures began their invasion from these portals. These creatures are the inhabitants of five worlds—the same worlds in different timeframes. In order to ensure their own future timeframe survives, each of the five invasion forces battle to wipe the other future timeframes out. The key is one card-shaped device.
Characters & Voice Actors
When you are faced with new characters every episode almost no background for them and their assistants ( Z/X ) that for some reason half of them are hot babes and the rest are relatives with pokemons ,after that you find out there is almost no story to talk about and a lot of lose ends , a single question rises from the ashes , what could make someone watch this ? Well for me was a lot of free time and a open mind . Yes , these wore my reasons for watching Z/X IGNITION .
Yes , yes , i forgot to add the pros of this anime .
Good animation , the fights were really well done , the action scenes were fluid , only a nice budget could provide that .
The OST was there , but I am the type that rarely pays any attention to this , so I will skip this and let other people decide in this regard .
In regard of the voice acting one could only bring words of praise , the seiyuus made a wonderful job , every one of them matched the character especially the MC , nice to hear Kansai-Ben from time to time .
Now for the last part and the reason as to why I gave this a 6 . The most important reason is the potential that this anime has , I tend and want to believe that this season is just the launching pad , they only presented the characters and just a part of the story and left us with a big ass cliffhanger .
In the end I can say that I enjoyed watching this and with all due respect I belive that Z/X IGNITION deserves more than just a 1 ( appalling ) or 6 ( fine ) . If a second season will be aired , then this show will get a bigger score on MAL , if not , then that’s what it was worth .
One last thing , some of you are wondering if there will be another season , well there is just a single answer to that , Infinite Stratos 2 , and with this I will end my review .
Thanks for reading .
Another game-based anime about kids saving Japan by summoning some unknown creatures à la Digimon Tamers or Devil Survivor 2 The Animation. These series are so damn similar, yes Z/X Ignition has better animation, epic fight scenes, cute characters whatsoever, but it is not enough. Only after a few episodes this anime jumps into incomprehensible nonsense.
A gate bringing the world to its end, then a group of teens using some weird monsters to fight each other with no reasons, explanations, motives, aims, whatsoever. The setting changes every single minute becoming more and more senseless.
Did I miss something or creators just put very little effort into creating “this masterpiece”. Reapers, angels, dinosaurs, knights, and talking, flying lions, red world, and white world. Wait, give me a break, is it the deepest masterpiece I have ever seen in my life or the worst piece of &^%@ ever created by human being.
Winter season was somewhat weak and boring. Without a doubt, Z/X Ignition isn’t that bad ( if we compare it with other titles of winter season), yet this anime has absolutely nothing to offer its viewer. Good animation? Come on! It is not enough in the years of high technologies. read more
Both involves creatures from another world to cause chaos in man's world.
Both involves a group of individuals who control such other worldly creatures to fight their own kind.
Both also has that gov't conspiracy thing going on.
In one anime a person may have 2 or more other worldly creature in his disposal, while in the other anime.........we're yet to find out.
People in control of their other worldly creatures uses cellphones to control them, while in the other anime they have special cards and sometime their pet may question their master's intention.
Both are about Humanity suddenly being invaded by unknown monsters
Both series can have a monster in a technology made for humanity to fight back
Almost the same kind of genre, the difference is that the other worldly creatures can interact with their masters.
The same scenario where mankind is in danger of being overrun by beings from another dimension and the one who can stop them are people who uses the same inter-dimension being to fight them off.
+ The world is invaded by demons and the humans must team up with partner-creatures in order to fight against them and against other humans when disputes break out
+ Sawashiro Miyuki voices a character in both shows that initially gets the main character involved in everything
- Devil Survivor involves much more fighting against unknown supernatural creatures, while Z/X Ignition involves fighting more against humans and their partners with less of a imminent threat to the planet
Both involve creatures from another world that cause chaos in man's world. Both as well involve groups of people who control worldly creatures from another place to fight others.
Opening Theme"EX:FUTURIZE" by Yoko Hikasa
Ending Theme"Monochrome Overdrive (モノクロームオーバードライブ)" Yurika Endou
