SynopsisThe story is set in the not-so-distant future. Five "Black Points" suddenly appeared around the world as portals to parallel worlds. Immediately after, strange creatures began their invasion from these portals. These creatures are the inhabitants of five worlds—the same worlds in different timeframes. In order to ensure their own future timeframe survives, each of the five invasion forces battle to wipe the other future timeframes out. The key is one card-shaped device.
Characters & Voice Actors
I started watching this anime today, as I write this review and I am impressed. After the first episode I wasn't so sure if it was gonna be that great, because it was so confusing at the beginning. But it was defiantly worth watching the following episodes.
The story in this anime was indeed in the first episode a bit confusing and you might notice that yourself when you watch it, but overall the story line is great. I've always liked these kind of anime, where it's a kind of "end of the world" scenario and this anime does it quite well by adding creatures, called Z/X's into the world.
The characters in this anime are really interesting. The main character, Asuka, is one of those characters who have no idea what they're doing, but still do things right. While everyone is focusing on killing each other, he has this mindset that makes him want to save everyone, it doesn't matter who you are and if you're an enemy, he will try to save you. He rather doesn't fight. What reminded me a lot of Yahiko, who is one of the Pains in Naruto Shippuden. Also is Asuka really good in making friends, I'm pretty sure I heard that at least 10 times now in the anime.
The Z/X's are really well done as well. You clearly see which world they represent. Depending on which world they have a different character and different art style in clothing, I like it a lot.
So why did I give this anime overall a 9? I think I have said enough for you to know, that I think this anime is a much watch and as soon as you got through the first 3 episodes, you'll understand why I like it that much. I hope this review was as help for you and I hope that you decide to watch this awesome piece of art ;) read more
Both involves creatures from another world to cause chaos in man's world.
Both involves a group of individuals who control such other worldly creatures to fight their own kind.
Both also has that gov't conspiracy thing going on.
In one anime a person may have 2 or more other worldly creature in his disposal, while in the other anime.........we're yet to find out.
People in control of their other worldly creatures uses cellphones to control them, while in the other anime they have special cards and sometime their pet may question their master's intention.
Both are about Humanity suddenly being invaded by unknown monsters
Both series can have a monster in a technology made for humanity to fight back
Almost the same kind of genre, the difference is that the other worldly creatures can interact with their masters.
The same scenario where mankind is in danger of being overrun by beings from another dimension and the one who can stop them are people who uses the same inter-dimension being to fight them off.
+ The world is invaded by demons and the humans must team up with partner-creatures in order to fight against them and against other humans when disputes break out
+ Sawashiro Miyuki voices a character in both shows that initially gets the main character involved in everything
- Devil Survivor involves much more fighting against unknown supernatural creatures, while Z/X Ignition involves fighting more against humans and their partners with less of a imminent threat to the planet
Both involve creatures from another world that cause chaos in man's world. Both as well involve groups of people who control worldly creatures from another place to fight others.
They have similar content, though the genres are different. It features a main character who is a card wielding user, and summons their Z/X or dolls to fight off other users. Once summon, they are either in a group, or singles, helping and protecting their card users.
Fantasista Doll is a lighthearted show, where they uses dolls as fighting combatants and fight as a group. Z/X is somewhat dark, when a dimension is invading Earth and uses Z/X as their summons.
Opening Theme"EX:FUTURIZE" by Yoko Hikasa
Ending Theme"Monochrome Overdrive (モノクロームオーバードライブ)" Yurika Endou
