Synopsis

The story is set in the not-so-distant future. Five "Black Points" suddenly appeared around the world as portals to parallel worlds. Immediately after, strange creatures began their invasion from these portals. These creatures are the inhabitants of five worlds—the same worlds in different timeframes. In order to ensure their own future timeframe survives, each of the five invasion forces battle to wipe the other future timeframes out. The key is one card-shaped device.

When you are faced with new characters every episode almost no background for them and their assistants ( Z/X ) that for some reason half of them are hot babes and the rest are relatives with pokemons ,after that you find out there is almost no story to talk about and a lot of lose ends , a single question rises from the ashes , what could make someone watch this ? Well for me was a lot of free time and a open mind . Yes , these wore my reasons for watching Z/X IGNITION .
Yes , yes , i forgot to read more

I want to start the review saying that I enjoyed this anime a lot. Although is a game based anime, and I've had some bad experiences with anime like that, this one was pretty good.

Story 8/10: The story parts form a point where the characters have already developed certain relationships between them and their Z/X so I thought it was gonna get confused, since most game based anime are like that and don't explain more of the back story of the characters. But this was different since after 1 episode you can see the back story of all the characters and understand the whole story.

The anime was good for me except for one major problem mad it bad. This problem was rushing through events.Form my point of view if the anime was 24 episodes instead of 12 , it would be a lot batter because it's so obvious the rushing through anime (short fights scenes,no back ground for the main characters, they left at the end of anime so many things unsettled etc..) and at the end of the anime there was >Fin< does it mean that there is no way we are continuing the anime ?

The essence of the story it self was great ..so great but the sequel read more

In a world which black points have appeared and made a big disaster. Innocent people are dying for nothing , only cards can save people from this catastrophe ..

This anime has a good story which is little bit exciting because you will be wondering of how the characters will save the world but, there were lots of unexplained things i think because the number of episodes weren't enough, besides most of the episodes were talking about the characters' pasts and this was great for characters' development .

The art was marvelous including the characters and backgrounds but, there were little mistakes at drawing form far distances.

Anime: Devil Survivor 2 The Animation
Similarities:

Both involves creatures from another world to cause chaos in man's world.

Both involves a group of individuals who control such other worldly creatures to fight their own kind.

Both also has that gov't conspiracy thing going on.

Dissimilarities:

In one anime a person may have 2 or more other worldly creature in his disposal, while in the other anime.........we're yet to find out.

People in control of their other worldly creatures uses cellphones to control them, while in the other anime they have special cards and sometime their pet may question their master's intention.

Anime: Fantasista Doll
They have similar content, though the genres are different. It features a main character who is a card wielding user, and summons their Z/X or dolls to fight off other users. Once summon, they are either in a group, or singles, helping and protecting their card users.

Fantasista Doll is a lighthearted show, where they uses dolls as fighting combatants and fight as a group. Z/X is somewhat dark, when a dimension is invading Earth and uses Z/X as their summons.

Anime: Freezing
In both anime, Earth is terrorized by creatures from another dimension; the Nova in Freezing, and the Z/X in Z/X: Ignition.
In Freezing, human males must pair up with females known as Pandora (who are humans genetically modified using Nova DNA)
In Z/X, humans must pair up with other Z/X; of which most are humanoids.
Also, the final enemy in Z/X, Audium, looks very similar to the Nova from Freezing. And for most part of both anime; the characters prefer to fight amongst each other; while only during the last few episodes, the anime focus on the real threats.
The major difference is that Freezing  read more
