Both series based in a similar location--Latin America. The basic plot structure is also the same. Two girls are running away/towards something. The relationship between the two female leads in each series differs slightly.

Both anime got girls that can handle guns wisely...

Both feature Bounty Hunters (or Sweepers, call them whatever you like) and a blonde girl genetically created that knows nothing about the real world.

Both contain girls with guns and have special abilities.

Girls with guns, familiar relationships, good gunfights, a journey of self-discovery.

Same director Koichi Mashimo and studio Bee Train. El Cazador de la Bruja is part of the girls-with-guns trilogy along with Noir and Madlax. The premise also deals with assassins and a handling organization.

Even thought the stage of bote animes are different they still are similair in allot ways, 2 girls that are searched to be killed, friends that protect them, bote in a different time and bote feel kinda the same, great to watch them bote if you like one of them...

Both are female-centric anime that feature a protagonist with a tragic past and shady occupation (Nadie is a bounty hunter, while Tokaku is an assassin) who nevertheless prefer to avoid killing people. In both cases, they find themselves the protector of a mysterious girl who have various people coming after them (Ellis/Haru) and have an informant who gives them cryptic help throughout their ordeal (Blue-Eyes/Kaiba). They also both have fantastic soundtracks and a few of the same voice actors (Blue-Eyes and Koko are both voiced by Clarine Harp, for example). Interestingly, in "El Cazador de la Bruja", the protector is the cheerful one and the ward  read more

How are they similar? A woman who's good in combat travelling across a desert land, accompanied by a blonde haired girl who's thought of as "special" by the bad guys - check Human experiments on the "special" girl - check Similar music - check Blonde girl doesn't talk much - check Of the two though, El Cazador is definitely the better show.

It is a really great time with great animation and an even better score. The dubbed version is spot on with the casting just like Bebop. The bounty hunter aspect is utilized in a fun and fresh way, it is definitely more upbeat. The side characters develop amazingly that I for one could have used more of, but for 26 eps the resolve and path to get there are highly recommended from this lover of all that is Anime.

Both series center around two women, one older and more experience and the other younger and innocent. Both characters are being chased by a group of people while in pursuit of something/someone.

Both of these animes have two female characters as the main characters. They are also relatively close.

No. 6 and El Cazador de la Bruja have a sweet and naive main character who learns about the world they are living in and who they are in this world. Each character has their life saved by a stranger when they need it most and that stranger soon becomes their protection and they form a close bond. Each series features a close and lovely relationship between the main characters as they face the new mysterious dangers of the world head on while learning more about each other every step of the way. No. 6 is missing more of the action and there aren't any  read more

both about two girls protecting each other, one of them has magical powers that other parties are trying to take advantage of. and the relationship between said girls is similar (as of the date when this comment was added)

both have amensia themed characters as well as lots of action happening from people out to get the characters as well too.

Both are supernatural western anime with a great sense of humor, following wandering main characters with bounties on their heads. On the way, the main characters both get into trouble with people of the law and make friends with them. Aside from being male, Vash can be seen as a combination of Nadie and Ellis- like the former, he's a master marksman who prefers to disarm his enemies instead of killing them, and like the latter, he's a mysterious blonde-haired person with strange powers that he can't control. He's more developed than both of them, however, and his story is a lot deeper and more  read more

Both series contains full throttle action involving girls with guns and other military themes. Both series has great soundtrack and details a more friendship style between the two main characters. Both series has intertwined plots as well as a interesting cast of characters.

✓ Traveling. ⍻ Episodic (El Cazador is more linear). ✓ Visiting new places. ✓ Meeting varied people. ✓ Life lessons. ✓ Stong female protagonist with a gun.

Similar character pasts and developements. Lots of action ,violence and comedy. Both groups have secert organzations chasing after them. Characters are very similarin design. They are all wanted too. World destruction is shorter than El Cazador de la Bruja. Also World Destruction is placed in a fantesy land ,El Cazador is based in Mexico. Both have very good animation.

El Caz and Virgin Road share a similar premise, an odd couple; the paring of a girl on a mission with her target objective, in El Caz's case, Nadie is intending to make Ellis her bounty and in Virgin Road, Menoue intending to kill Akari. Both shows feature magic and fantasy and strange organizations operating behind the scenes. Both shows have yuri themes. One could probably recommend the entire Girls with Guns trilogy, with NOIR and MADLAX being the other two but of the three, El Cazador is the most similar.

Witches? - check Secret societies? - check Mysterious artifact that is the key to enormous power? - check Girl on a mission? - check Lots of bullets flying? - check Witch Hunter Robin has a more serious plot than El Cazador de la Bruja, and the Nadie/Ellis combination is more like Thelma & Louise than anything else. If you like stories about witches, secret societies, mysterious artifacts, etc, then you should enjoy both.

Both series are about a tomboy-ish girl who has to go on a seemingly endless and dangerous journey in order to earn money and live. Also, both of the main girls have a younger girl that they try and protect at all costs.

Girls with guns. But Gunsmith Cats has a girl with grenades and a tighter story. The manga is even better developed.

As intense as the first season

Different setting, look and feel but still two female characters on the run, one very world wise and handy in a fight and the other learning quickly about the world.

Both: 2 hard hitting, hard fighting women caught in a larger battle.

Actually, this two anime are not really similar: one is more slice of life and drama, while the other is action, guns and more surrealistic. But the protagonists are really similar: Ohana and Ellis: First of all their appearance is really similar, the way they act is similar too, although Ellis is more serious and does not smile that much, as the series progresses she does, and there we can see the similarity between this two girls. Apart from that both Ohana have friends they care for.
report Recommended by Faylicia
Both animes have 2 girls as main characters one with a more open personality and the other more quiet. They both have action and hardly any romance at all. Both animes have girls with guns that are 'running' from the law.
report Recommended by ChocoCrepe
It's asimilar anime, about a friendship, love and fight. The eroines are Nadie, a bounty hunter, and Elisse, a young and strange girl. Nadie is likes Tina, and Ellis is like Rita.
